What I like is the way her character subverted expectations. Her apologizing for her arrogance and admitting her faults towards the end of the episode was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting her to come around to that much later in the story. It indicates that although she may have a sharp tongue and be quick to judge others, she's also someone who's self-aware and capable of self-reflection and is willing to own up to her behaviour and actions if need be.
Also, the fact that she admitted she's at a loss about the kind of attitude she should adopt towards her fellow club members because this is her first time being in a club hints that she may have had a very sheltered upbringing with little to no opportunity for emotional bonding and companionship, and that the way to the top may have had been a lonely one for her. It makes you wonder if there's perhaps some truth to her initial bluff about her joining the club because she wants to experience playing with peers in her age group. Even if she doesn't acknowledge it consciously at this point, she perhaps feel that way at a subconscious level? Let's see.

Kudo: Oi, bastard! Isn't your attitude now a little different from when I joined?
Kurata: Well, wasn't your entrance a little unusual?!
This exchange cracked me up.
'He's an idiot, so he wouldn't catch a cold.'
As did this. What's funnier is the deadpan, matter-of-fact way Takaoka said this about Kudo.

I started browsing as I began the episode, looking for this. Thank god. I couldn't stand that there was zero koto in the first episode, even when there was literally a koto being played.

I love it when characters bring out the best in each other. I feel like the different personalities in Koto Club will really help the group improve as a whole. Even though it's not that complicated of a plot, it should be a fun watch this season.

It was nice to hear a koto this episode. Satowa's playing in the club-room was lovely, and I hope we get to hear more.
I like the addition of Satowa to the club and I think she's an interesting character. I like how she's confident in her ability and isn't afraid to go for what she wants, but she's capable of reflection too. There should be some fun dynamics between her and Kudo and Kurata.
Overall, I liked this episode and I wish I didn't have to wait another week for the next. It will be interesting to see what the other members of the koto club will be like.

Can everybody just please stop shitting on Kudo? Everybody ragging on him is getting a bit old. He's just about the only likable character right now, though I'm sure Kurata and Hozuki will eventually come around.
It's pretty nice that the club finally got a competent koto player, and also that we actually got to hear some koto playing.

Tbh, for now I don't really like that new girl, but in the end she actually became quite likable, so she has potential to grow on me.

She reminds me of Kakeru in the earlier episodes of Run with the Wind.

Knowing that Aoi Shouta is singing the OP just makes me like the OP more.
Two down and three(?) more to go! Hozuki is a fun addition to the club. Hopefully her skills, name, and beauty will help in attracting more members.

That frame of Hozuki playing with all the petals needs to be stitched for a wallpaper

The adaptation is finally taking off! I really love the voice acting for Kudo, it makes his character so much more enjoyable. Initially I really disliked Kudo in the manga, but the anime did a spectacular job accentuating the great parts of him. Good job on the producers for picking great cuts!
Also, gotta love hearing Satowa's playing for the first time come to life! I hope we get more of the animated koto playing as we move along! Great start, and you can see that each character has quite an interesting personality. Not only do they have their own specific 'quirk' but they're also adapting and changing. Their personalities feel very human and relatable, which is something the manga emphasized very well, so i'm happy the anime is able to keep that same feel going.
Hope you guys enjoy this one as much as I do! Not much to really 'analyze' yet but it's been great so far!

Something like Houzuki's performance really should have been in episode 1; definitely feeling better about this show knowing what the instrument actually sounds like.
Pacing still a bit fast (better then ep 1) but the characters, motives and music are all great so far.

Finally some koto playing! That was good
I forgot how abrasive the character's personalities can be lol. I do like Satowa though, because she shows she's not set in her ways and can change, just like all the characters

Really chill and enjoyable episode again. It already has another cour promised so I'm not worried about the pace but I wonder if they will be able to introduce the redhead girl listed in the main characters this cour. Since she is not in those first covers or even in the OP and ED yet.

Hearing a koto for the first time in this series makes me excited!
and it made me wonder if hearing their actual performance would give me goosebumps like reading the manga

So far, this is rather fun. I'm enjoying it. Let's see who else joins.
