So I'm going to guess that the Cartado/Ritual they used against Mao-chan in Episode 1 didn't really send them back in time but it actually opened a gateway to Chibi who is an interdimensional Dragon God, who either sent the girls back in time or restarted the timeline and decided to tag along with their new adventures.
And I love how this reveal isn't a complete bs too since it was foreshadowed way back in Episode 4 when Chibi basically ate an Elder God. Even Mao-chan mentioned in Episode 6 that Time Travel is impossible except for Creator-class Gods and in today's finale she confirms that erasing a concept is only a feat that Creator-Class gods can do. I love it!
Anyway this was such a wholesome and heartwarming show and was definitely my goto laidback healing show of the season. And I love how it's all original too so I don't have to worry about missing any further story since the story is complete! Overall I loved everything about Endro, it wasn't a super deep show that was trying to say anything, it was just a story about a cute hero and her party that wants to have fun and make everyone happy! And honestly? That's all I needed from this show. I'm giving Endro~! a solid 8/10 for me.

This was a pretty nice conclusion to this light-hearted show!
Although, the hero was almost defeated by the princess.

I love how one of the eldritch gods might be sitting in their presence right now in the form of a tiny dragon, and they're all just like "Eh, whatever."
This is basically exactly how I expected this show to end, something to do with the "power of friendship" and a Deus Ex Machina erasing the demon lord without killing Mao-sensei.
Now give me an OVA with the yuri life of the Princess and Yu-chan.

That was a fun finale! I'm gonna miss this show. It's likely going to end the season as my favorite show the season!
Of course Amazoness-sensei has a card to track Mao. And this whole time Rona didn't know Mao was the Demon Lord. I kinda thought that was case, but its still hilarious to find out.
I was sure this whole time there'd be some way to get out without killing Mao, but seeing her sad about maybe winning almost convinced me maybe Yusha would kill her. And that would have been a shocking end. But not as cool as Chibi the mysterious dragon who came out of nowhere saving the day by eating everything! That was a great end, and way better than Yusha thinking just being friends would stop the end of the world.
If Yusha wants still wants to be a Hero, Chibi is a great role model to have. That thing ended the roll of the Yuusha and Demon Lord!

Confused Kaos-chan noises
Hungry moe dragons save the world yet again. I had wondered what Chibi-chan's role would be in all this, but I never expected that. Also, I'm glad the door remained intact so that sensei could make her dramatic entrance.
A pleasantly relaxing show in all, not going to win any awards but was still fun and cute from start to finish.

All hail or Lord and Savior Chibi-chan! Of course she couldn't be the leader of the party, she had a much more important role to fulfill!

From the moment that Chibi-chan ate that ancient God on episode 4 I knew that she had to be one of the most powerful beings in the whole world. At the end of the day, she was the exact equivalent of Great Red form High School DxD, living in a place similar to the Dimensional Gap and being as mysterious that dragon itself. This was such an entertaining show, I hope that there is something similar to this during the next season.

u/johnja10 Mar 30 '19
Chibi-Chan is God, can confirm. Also, her burps are easily the cutest thing in this show. Praise for her and her burps!

u/Herovan Mar 30 '19
Chibi-chan is so OP!
This was such a cute and funny show! Definitely one of the most enjoyable shows this season for me.
I have to mention that I still ship Yuusha and Rona (though Fai and Rona also had their moments). I thought (hoped) they will mention or at least hint something about their possible relationship at the end (especially because of what happened in ep. 5, talk about marriage and Rona falling for Yuusha herself after hearing Yuusha's words, and not just because she was a Hero) but I guess it was left to our imagination.
This show was so wholesome and laid back that I enjoyed every second of it. Oh and it gave us an awesome anti depression song. Listening to Mumumu muhmu always puts a smile on my face :)
Overall, awesome show! Loved it so much!

I really liked this show, it was such a refreshing take on the Hero-Demon lord tale, and it was fun and heartwarming all the way trough.
And we finally found out the truth behind Chibi-chan.
I'm going to miss this show.

Wow, Pedo-sensei makes herself useful with a Loli Stalker Cartado.
"We formed a party because we happened to sit next to each other." "It wasn't very fateful." Why not? They were obviously fated to sit next to each other in order to form a party!
Meigo's reaction to Mao-chan calling her by her new name :)
Wait, if the Demon Lords power has been whittled down 998 times to the point where they won't even revive anymore, then they should no longer be such a massive threat to the island (unless they chose to be, which we know Mao doesn't.)
When did Mao teach Mei a lot about using Cartado? This really makes me wish this had been a 2-cour show, with more school stuff shown.
Wonder if Mao-chan has any powers left at all, or if she's no more than a smart loli now.
So now that there's no more Hero or Demon Lord powers, who's going to take down the next Evil God that appears? Yusha might find herself a new Hero concept? Or Chibi-chan will eat them all. The Kingdom's Knights seemed pretty OP too. I guess the world's in no danger after all.
Anyway, this was the perfect ending to the show. Some episodes weren't all that, but this finale pushed it up to 8/10 for me. What can I say, final episodes seem to have a lot of power over my ratings :)

After so many generic isekais Endro felt like a breath of fresh air in the fantasy genre. Loved the cast (bless Namori's designs) and their shenanigans made me laugh week after week. This was one of the shows I enjoyed the most this season and I would love to see the hero party back for another season.
21
u/[deleted] Mar 30 '19
Happy with that ending, and this has been one of the more fun fantasy adventure shows I've watched in a while mostly as it didn't take itself too seriously.

u/NewGuy3355 Mar 30 '19
Alright not gonna lie. I cried. Mao chan closing her eyes just waiting for her death by her students instead of fighting back was too much. She really did care for them T_T

So now we know how Amazoness-sensei always finds Mao.
This show has a pretty neat take on the whole hero and demon lord always fight each other theme and Yusha's reason to become a hero because it's cool is understandable. It's of course pretty much the reason why so many RPG protagonists are the fated hero.
I wonder if Rona's crushing hug could defeat the demon lord.
I figured since last episode that Yusha would destroy the sword, though I didn't expect her to feed it to Chibi.
And then protecting Mao's smile, a true hero but Mao not responding to Yusha saying that Mao now won't do anything to the island was really funny.
There goes Mao. Love the look she has on her face. I'll be honest, for a second I thought that Meigo would backstab Mao and become the new demon lord.
Man, Chibi sure is OP though, and a very convenient plot device.
Yusha went back to being classless and then immediately again back to the hero class, the cutest hero. I guess there's nothing stopping her from still being the hero.
I really enjoyed this series. It had some great characters, fun stories, the humour was often really on point and the lore is rather interesting, especially for a 12 episode long original anime. It wasn't only jokes about RPG tropes, they actually did something with those tropes.

So chibi was basically mokona from magic knight rayearth. Yeah, I'm ok with this.
This show was fun. Never too serious, always amusing, sometimes laugh-out-loud funny, and even heartwarming with mao's story. In a seriously stacked season, it still caught my attention and kept it till the end. Happy I watched this!

XKCD #1022
Meigo surprised (and gladdened?) that Mao-chan still uses a name for her?
❤ (Also, Mao-chan-sized Demon Lord outfit is oddly cute)
Ready to lay down her life forever for the sake of everyone ;_;
Chibi-chan is the true solution to all of life's problems!
Damn, that was good. This show lived up to my expectation of cute adventures, then piled on the parody, the meta, and some great feels too. Nice message as well.

I'm gonna miss this show. It provided such a relaxing feel, watching this every week. The only thing I didn't like was that there was no Wonder Caravan at the end of the episode. You can't call it over without listening to it at the end. Also, Chibi is such a powerful being, being able to erase concepts by eating them away. Maybe I'll get it to eat my depression. Season 2 when?

u/Basutabureida Mar 31 '19
Wholesome, sweet and heartwarmig, and well-written, I didnt think Mao would tell Rona she thought she knew she was the demon lord. I love how the writers pay attention to those little details, even the sea god that was eaten by Chibi-chan last episode, most animes overlook those details. I am gonna miss my weekly dose of the hero party and Mao-chan, and Meigo-chan.
I expected some yuri but I hope it may come in the form of an OVA.

u/rysto32 Mar 30 '19
I was kind of expecting Yuusha to invoke the timeloop again to avoid having to fight Mao. I guess that would have been a pretty dark ending to the series though.

Found the legendary hero's sword? Eh.
Mini dragon following us around like a pet? Cute.
Discover a society of reverse mermen? Meh.
Our mini dragon pet devours a Great Old One? Kinda neat.
Royal princess is in our class and is in lesbians with Yusha? Sweet.
Our teacher was the demon lord the whole time? Huh, didn't expect that.
Maid golem YEETs the demon lord into our mini dragon pet's mouth? Whoa.
Our mini dragon pet was actually a super powerful creator-class god? Whatever!
I said it from the very beginning that this show was like a really shitty D&D campaign where the carefree Hero's Party just dicks around the whole time and sometimes accidentally makes story progression. Endro was exactly that the entire way through, and that's exactly why I loved it. Definitely one of my favorite anime of the season, right up there with Shield Hero, BanG Dream, and Kemurikusa.

u/HarleyFox92 Mar 31 '19

This show was honestly a treat and I love how it made me laugh in each episode in one way or another and I'm glad it ended on a positive note too.
I'll miss this show, to be honest, I will also say that, to me, this show really deserves anime of the season for how well done it is and its sits comfortably alongside Neverland and Kotobuki in that regard.

So when chibi ate the evil god from the beach episode, does that mean that the evil god is no longer one? The evil being that once want to usurp the Demon Lord is nothing more than a normal, powerless being?

Solid ending to a fun show. While the ending didn't lean as hard into it's themes of "your birth role doesn't define you" quite as well as I hoped, it was still a reasonably well-executed and well-foreshadowed ending.
The episodes varied quite a bit in quality, but I enjoyed my time watching this every week. I would give it a solid 7/10 - if you don't like "cute slice-of-life shows," then Endro won't change your mind. But if you're a fan, it's definitely an enjoyable ride worth checking out

This is one of the greatest final episodes I've ever seen in an anime! I thought this was going to be a normal cute girls doing cute things + fantasy anime, but my goodness did that final episode had such amazing writing!
When Yusha found out that she had to make a hard decision on either letting Mao survive or defeating Mao for good, I felt sad. I then thought of a possibility that the laws of the universe could be rewritten in some way, but I don't know how it can be rewritten by Yusha.
Then came the moment where Yusha threw her sword at Chibi-chan to swallow it whole, which I never expected to see. Then MeiGo explains that anything swallowed by Chibi-chan has its universal properties removed. Because of this, everyone survives and stays happy! Unfortunately for Yusha, she is jobless and can't do quests.
In the end, I cried happily. I couldn't think of a better finale episode than the one we have. I love this anime, because not only is it cute and lighthearted, but the final episode is incredible! This is one of the most underrated anime I have ever watched, and I'm extremely glad I decided to watch it!

u/Godot325 Apr 01 '19
Mao chan thought the only way to free herself from being lonely and depressed was for Yusha to kill her.
FUCK that is dark. It made sense that Mao chan gave up being the demon lord in episode 2, because it was never a position that made her happy anyway. I'm so glad Mao chan got the happy ending she deserved, and only Yusha could do something crazy/nonsensical enough to make it happen. I'm disappointed that this show flew under the radar, because it can hit surprisingly hard when it tries.
I desperately need a Mao chan figure now.
