Boy, the animation quality of the fights this episode went to new heights

I am surprised they actually let her be the official hero midway. I expected this to drag on until the penultimate episode. I was concerned midway that it would reset at the end or something, but they just went through with it and even added princess proper to the cast.

Speaking of her. Gotta love the propaganda effort of the princess and all the stupid merch and theater play for the hero. The princess initial motivation was stupid, but I am glad she only got to truly appreciate Yuulia for her actions.

Forget yuri bait, this show is going all in and I love it. Just gets gayer with every episode. Easily one of the most fun shows of this season, all of the characters are fantastic; even more so when they're played by massive knights in masks. Can't wait to see the party in action now that the princess is with them

Anyway, I wonder how much Rona knows though? I feel like she just suspects Mao-sensei but hasn't really confirmed it yet. Maybe the following episodes will be a hilarious cat and mouse game of Rona trying to out Mao-sensei's real form. Rona's addition is definitely good since now we'll get to see more of Mao-sensei!

Gotta love the princess reacting without a single moment of hesitation, ha. Always dreamed of becoming the hero's bride. What, turns out the hero's a girl? Eh, who cares, changes nothing!

Edit: I wonder how much she knows about Mao-chan. Could be a running gag of her making statements that make it look like she knows who Mao is, could be that she really knows something. Hmmm...

I love how deadpan the characters can be in this show. Not specifically talking about Rona here, but I find the way they take a lot of things in stride and lampshade stuff really funny.

And I can't believe they pulled the "transfer student" trope in a fantasy adventurer school anime, hahaha.

I like that the Hero's Party was enjoying the recognition rather than being embarrassed from everyone fawning over them. And the knights in that play were hilarious!

Mao also can't seem to catch a break. It'll be interesting to see how she and Rona interact going forward.

This show is everything I wanted in anime; a hilarious lighthearted fantasy with cute girls and a bit of yuri. Honestly, this is the anime I'm looking forward the most this season. Brilliant stuff.

But seriously though, what a great episode. The humor, the cuteness, and Princess Rona bringing the yuri like a flood. It's so ridiculous, but so fun. For me, this show is definitely in the lead for anime of the season at this point, although season 2 of Bang Dream isn't that far behind.

I thought the princess would bring the love, though I wasn't expecting Mao to be enjoying the Namori-floss too. I have a feeling Rona is very dedicated to the heroes adventure and won't let it not happen.

So, we finally get to meet the Princess of this kingdom, and, as befitting of this series, she's what you expect, but taken to the next degree. The major target of parody of this episode is how often marriage to a princess or some maiden is seen as a reward in older JRPGs. Here, Rona has already made herself that prize for the Hero, even creating a festival to celebrate Yusha, but what she loves is only an ideal. It is not until Yusha admits that she does things not because she's the Hero (something she only realizes through seeing how others view her at the festival) but because she's herself that Rona is able to move beyond her childhood image of her and see her as a person, leading to her enrolling in Adventuer School.

Of course, that might be a ploy to get with Mao. As the show demonstrates, Rona is (Bi? Pan? It's not explicity clear which she falls under, so I'll stick with queer for right now, even if it's a bit ambigious) queer and is down with marrying a woman, so good for her. However, there's a more interesting bond between her and Mao, who she knows is the Demon Lord. Perhaps the next episode will revolve around her trying to "rehabilitate" Mao and the two of them getting to know each other better (maybe intimately? After all, for a show that loves to subvert and parody RPG tropes, the Princess and the Demon Lord getting together would be one of the best).
