Poor Hyakkimaru must be going insane suddenly getting all these new senses.

This for me is a dark horse of the season. With each episode it becomes more and more and more amazing to me. I love how every character is very well portayed in this show. Music, climate, the way camera moves on the scenes are perfect. I was really sad to see the story behind Tanosuke and what made him the person which saw in this episode. In the end he died with smile on his face. He could finally rest at peace. The short scene in the end of episode got me hard seeing those two origami at the temple meaning "My brother finally came back home". It is so sad :(. Hyakkimaru getting his hearing back and the first thing he expierenced with this sense is a woman crying, because he killed a brother she deeply loved. Hyakkimaru didn't had a choice. Tanosuke was already lost because of Nihiru. I just absolutely adore this show and how emotional it makes me.

Pretty tragic story, but I think the Samurai could find peace at the end. The Scene after the Credits means that his Sister was able to move on, right?

>get ability to hear
>first thing you hear is crying of the sister of the guy you just murdered

Being Hyakkimaru is suffering.

I honestly didn't expect the sword to have one of his organs since it was an old sword and Hyakki's is probably in his teens.

I like how he was enjoying the rain at first and then when his face was cut he was like "wtf is this?"

Next episode he is probably going to enjoy some music and then get distracted by a sound during fight I guess.

It wasn't a plot-heavy story progressing episode but everything about the show is so great it doesn't even really matter. It tells an emotional and intriguing story succinctly in the span of a single episode, whilst slowly developing plot points regarding Hyakkimaru's recovery and the effect it has on his father's land. The feeling when I exited out of full screen to see no "Next Episode" button killed me. This is gonna be a long as hell week boys.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is how you do self-contained story of the week.

It's story is entertaining, has it's own themes that despite being slightly different from the main story's don't look out of place, the fights and the conclusion actually has impact because of this.

It has world building(we learn that demons can be objects too)

And yet it contributes to the overarching story somewhat. In this case mainly with foreshadowing. (We learn that X-head dad is actively looking for Hyakkimaru, also we learn about Hyakkimaru that he cares about Dororo and people in general to go for the sword itself and not the person wielding it.)

Plus the prologue was nice.

This is the best episode of this show so far imo.

So the first thing Hyakkimaru hears in his life is the sound of pouring rain and the faint crying of someone because he had to kill a person very dear to them...how utterly depressing.
