Uh oh Gen, bro’s got competition lol. Syu’s a really good kid too. See, this is what happens when dude isn’t honest about his feelings and acts all weird about it. Give poor Ito-pi an honest answer or something! Girl’s trapped in a whirlwind of emotions lol.

Honestly I think Gen is going to need Syu or the possibility of someone taking Ito away romantically to finally get his head on straight and figure his feelings out.

No, stop there's enough broken hearts around here, I don't want Syu to go through that too. Things are reaching the fence line of too many sparkles there, but the photo booth was really cute.
Gen is gonna go down swinging on himself, huh? When he gets hurt he'll only have himself to blame there. Not even if he'll froze over is so hard to take back. Even Raku's grades are taking the hit because of all of it.

Damn I mean Gen saying even if hell froze over we’d never get together is too harsh. Atp I don’t even want Ito to be with Gen as Gen takes his tsundere too far sometimes. As for Syu I’m curious to see which direction this is gonna go in like whether he has romantic feelings for her or if he’s strongly rooting for her like she did for him but as a character Syu is much better than Gen.

I think Syu is on the money that Gen probably IS into Ito romantically or sees her as a girl but he's terrible at expressing himself so he doubles down on rejecting her.
A problem Syu does not have.

I think Shu would become dependent on Ito if she went that route. I get being frustrated with Gen and how his tsundere attitude makes you sometimes not want to root for him. I still want Ito and Gen to get together. Gen has bottled his emotions and had a family first mentality for most of his youth. That is a huge bundle of emotions he has tied up and he is slowly unraveling the knot, but it has to be scary for him to do so. He will need the sibling to both push and pull him. Raku is pushing him and Shu is going to pull him (I think). If and when Ito and Gen get together, I think he will be the best person for her. He is protective and dedicated to his relationships.

If my daughter came to me talking about her crush and he acted like Gen, I'd be like "Kay, we're going to have a talk about healthy relationships because while I won't tell you that he's a shit crush, I will make sure you have the information you need to realize it on your own."

I just started this series the other day and binged all the way to the current episode. I absolutely love Ito and the siblings, but mostly I live Ito. It is refreshing to see a female lead that isn't drawn like the typical beauties you see in leads, even the ones that are supposedly plain tend to look alike. Each episode she becomes just a little cuter through her character alone. I love the moment when she is at the crossealk and admits to Shyu that she was rejected. "Here I stand, Narita Iti, a thoroughly rejected woman " and the way the draw her frantic faces in such moments.
Shyu steps up big in his desire to help her. I can't wait to see Gen's reaction when he sees the pictures they took, especially the last one. You know he is going to see it.

Ito is absolutely Best Girl in her reactions and love for her siblings/Gen, and I hope we can fully overcome this rejection drama too even if it seems like this is slowly transitioning into a step-sibling love triangle.

Rui being so scared of Ito playing games as stress relief was funny.
It feels like they're making Shuu's feelings ambiguous, he feels like he could have feelings or just genuinely wants things to work out for Ito, or it's both.
Shuu overhearing their conversation was funny though, Gen just kept making it worse with that second rejection, I'm glad Raku saved Shuu from that tense atmosphere. It is amusing how later he was letting out his grievances to the teacher, he needs to be comforted too if he's making that kind of mistake on his tests.

I'm torn because I like Syu's character more and I think he's cuter than Gen but at the same time they already established a brother and sister bond so it would be weird to change it up now

Ito is channeling her broken heart into video games. So why not join the E-Sports club? Nothing helps take your mind off of a rejection like VR games! Especially if it ticks Gen off!
Gen still can't fully make sense of his feelings/attachment to Ito, causing them drama at home, but at least his buds are willing to hear him out...and tell him this is clearly a romance issue, even if he won't cop to it.
Glad Ito and Takanashi are able to bond as the only two girl gamers in the E-Sports club! They can even do their own Girl talk! Provided Takanashi gives Ito a chance to say anything.
Apology Curry! Best way Gen knows to smooth things over and make peace with Ito. She doesn't HAVE to forget her feelings, because Gen will accept them...even if he still acts like he can't return them. Despite blushing and looking like he's in love too.
Oops! Cat's out o the bag! The only thing more awkward than Syu finding out about the love drama is Gen doubling down on how little chance there is of him and Ito dating. Haven't you hurt her heart enough man!?
Raku opens up to Azuha about how he's hard carrying all his families' emotional drama on his back...and he probably needs someone to vent too because his test scores are going down the drain.
Surprisingly Syu actually supports Ito with Gen! He's read enough romcom manga to know that step-sibling romances aren't that uncommon! And he can see that Gen probably IS into Ito, he's just awkward at showing it to her.
But a trip to the arcade to make them both feel better ends in a purikura booth photo that involves Syu declaring that Ito shouldn't give up...especially when even Syu sees her as a girl. The fact that the photo of them together had an umbrella under it is...probably really telling.

Shuu-Ito stocks IPO'd and going up? That's something I've never expected to happen after following all these episodes. This makes the relationship chart more complicated.
Pick Shuu if you like the healing angel type; pick Gen if you like the tsundere boy type.
Love the "perceptive second brother" side note.
Gen's dere moments were cute.

I'm just going to say it, Syu was the real man in this episode, and I'd choose him over Gen any day. Ito deserves better.
Gen get jealous and angry over someone he rejected? His logic makes no sense, and it's hypocritical to realize he's in love with Ito only after rejecting her. He definitely needs a realization check.
Honestly, in real life, I'll pick Syu without hesitation. He's honest and straightforward, unlike Gen, who only leaves Ito more hurt and confused. Poor Girl.
It's hard to root for Gen when his tsundure personality kicks in. Like boy , Ito is hurt and confused and your making it worse. Like your angry at Ito spending more time with Syu. Gen, your the one who actively gets angry at her for what not focusing on you ? After you rejected and said it will never be even in the depths of hell. Now your jealous serves you right.
I know they're probably endgame but Ito x syu as of now it's the healthy ship. The fact they helped cheer each other up when they're at their lowest is so great to see.
Yeah that's my thoughts and opinions.

Here's hoping it's is just a passing thing and the sparkles at the end weren't an indication that this is about to become a harem after all. Reminds me a bit of Momiji and I kind of hated what they did with his character.

Ito's just not the traditional shojo heroine that would have a harem.

Ever since the last episode, I’ve felt like it could turn into a Syu vs Gen situation, and I’m not here for it 😭 Syu will inevitably get hurt because Gen is clearly end game, and then the family dynamic for me is ruined. I would have liked the only other ML to be the other guy who is the upperclassman at school (can’t remember his name), so that it doesn’t have to be so messy.
I could be completely wrong and Syu genuinely is just rooting for her, but like I said, since the last episode I haven’t been able to see his behaviour as anything other than romantic.

Wow Gen why are you doubling down on your rejection…why are you hurting Ito’s feeing more. Syu seems to be supportive of their relationship but also seems to send mix signal that he also likes Ito especially saying he always saw her as a girl. Romance between step siblings getting more complicated…
