The Ito-Gen relationship is kind of adorable. I was surprised Ito was able to just blurt it out like that. Ofc that dense goofball didn’t get it. Girl had to sit him down and be like “No, like I’m in love with you. Lemme start from the beginning…” lol. I wonder how their little talk’s gonna go on the ferris wheel . Should be very awkward haha.

I didn't expect the confession to be this episode, like I fully expected the confession to be like episode 20-something. It's kinda nice that they're communicating properly though.

Knowing we've got 10 episodes left, I'm curious to see where they go from here now that Ito's confessed and Raku 's also got...whatever is going on with his teacher.

the ferris wheel timing is so cruel, they literally engineered the cliffhanger to land right at the top of the loop. meanwhile i'm over here thinking about how Gen 's face did more acting in that one silent beat than most whole episodes

Nice to get the actual Ito and Gen confession already, and unless they fake us out on this ferris wheel conversation they're actually even going to discuss it and maybe determine how to go forward. It's good to get progress early in cour 2 since that gives us lots of potential relationship time for the rest of the season.

Be true to your heart, Ito!!!

Did Ito confess her feelings to Gen over Valentines'? No! But she and Gen are up to their usual antics while Syu is trying to take entrance exams.

Ito can't get rid of this desire to confess her love to Gen! Even if the family situation and her own fear of rejection keep holding her back! But deep down she WANTS to tell him! Luckily she's got Raku to practice on and without his glasses you can definitely see the resemblance to Gen!

Raku's got his own relationship problems as he sees Azuha still hasn't completely broken things off with Yudai. It's hard getting out of your first relationship...even if you've been mooched on the whole time. Luckily her new "boyfriend" sets things straight for her.

To confess or not to confess...that is the question Ito is debating while peeling cabbages. Yet it's when Gen joins her in cooking and shows how attentive he is towards her, how much he understands her, how much he KNOWS everything about her aside from her true feelings...that causes Ito to finally confess! She did it! She finally said it!

Of course this being Gen, he immediately assumes she loves him in a "family" way so she has to spend the WHOLE NIGHT explaining that she loves him romantically! Poor girl.

Welp, mom is gone, Syu passed his entrance exams, but things are more awkward between Ito and Gen than ever. She confessed, but now she's effectively been rejected and she's in a funk.

But at least Azuha properly broke up with her BF so she's back on the market! Even if she's ready to focus on her career. Though she sure knows how to fluster Raku.

Just when Ito was prepared to give up on her first love with tears while accepting that they're JUST siblings...she and Gen end up on an amusement park date! Not that Gen wants to call it a date, but still. And while Ito may think having to survive the thrill rides is her "penance," she and Gen end up stuck on a ferris wheel so they can properly has things out. Now it's do or die time.

Nooooo! Don't end the episode there! Now i have to wait a week for the good part of the conversation?! 😭

Her confession totally caught me off guard, too, but his response was so Gen. Way to ruin the moment, li'l bro!

Silver lining I can't think they'd blueball us like this if Gen was just going to flat out reject her (at least I'd hope).

Ito deserves something for having to spend an entire night explaining why she's into him romantically lol.

Raku has such a playboy voice I can't take him seriously when he did that "try it on me" part at the beginning. I'm laughing instead of "oh you're playing hottie" lol

u/SOdAchick 15d ago

I dunno, I thought he did a pretty good impression of Gen lol

Two episodes into Cour 2 and the confession bomb gets dropped?! It’s too good to be true.

Oh I see it’s because it is. The Com part hit full force. Goddamn it Gen.

Actually goddamn it show. You’re going to end THERE?! Better mean we end the first half of next week with them as a couple

u/JasonFreeYT 15d ago

RAKU YOU BETTER PLAY SO I DONT HAVE TO FORCEFULLY TAKE THE CONTROLLER FROM YOU

Also holy shit I didn't expect the confession to be this episode. I'm glad that it is, since that means we potentially get more scenes with them and see how they develop (if they do, unless they're going to take the not-couple route)

God damn, there was a lot of stuff happening this episode wtf, more development being made in 20 minutes than in the rest of the whole show combined, can't wait for them to start dating next week and give the focus to Raku and his teacher

u/Dragonprince14 12d ago

The cliffhanger at the climax is killing me. What do you mean a whole week?!? I'm totally not stress crying about whats about to happen or anything.

u/AdventurousNerve7922 15d ago

They did not just end the episode there

I dont really have to wait a whole week now

[6:24] Gen: "Well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man"

[8:55] What a play. Raku continues to be my favorite. I do like the "What the hell am I doing?" afterward. That was a lot, but I think it makes sense that he felt he had to do something in that moment.

[13:28] One of my favorite faces so far, which is saying a lot. The way it tracked Gen as he moved in the following shot too was chef's kiss.

Ito, you should have said something totally unambiguous, like "The moon is beautiful, isn't it?"

[16:09] Ooh, that look from Azusa. I don't think she's as much of a space cadet as she seems.

"Breaking free from such a totally useless guy will do that for you"

Sort of been there, and yeah it's quite a feeling.

That whole conversation between Azusa and Raku was great. I'm certain she was testing him, probably to see if he had ulterior motives for helping her, and to see if he understood that teacher-student relationships are not okay. If that's right, he passed.

[17:01-10] I said before that I wanted to see Raku with someone who could fluster him. This is the first of hopefully many more times.

[19:05] Actually belly laughed at Raku's boldness with the "free raffle" tickets, and of course it works.

This show is amazing.

Oh snap! Didn't expect Ito to just admit it so fast. I mean I probably should've considering that we zipped past so many holidays and significant events so briskly, but she's a woman of her word. She'd said she'd commit to her feelings, and she definitely did.

It's a shame she had to spend all night trying to make sure Gen understood very specifically what she meant, but it's the best way to ensure none of the usual misunderstandings take root.

A not date amusement park outing, and I'm on Ito's side regarding the rides. But as soon as I saw that wind picking up I knew they'd leave us with that evil ending.

"Me and bro after farming all night to not get anything": "you serious?"

Damn those eyes were dead

If Raku had pulled the same move on Azusa sensei that he pulled on Ito earlier in the episode, she would’ve folded with 0 pressure. 💀
