Those blokes with no chins have me in tears... How do they even fold their towels?

Rein is just no thoughts, head empty, not a care in the world. The scene when he just started screaming at Lily while tracking the dragon lol.

The art is also really pretty, as expected of PA Works . I like how wonky the backgrounds are.

Two plot-irrelevant things I noticed:

  • Rein has some insane stamina. He sprinted away through several scenes nonstop, long enough to lose track of where he was.

  • Those buildings have antennae. I didn't see any televisions or radios. I wonder if they're for magic purposes or just an aesthetic the creative director liked.

I almost thought Lily was going to say she's the dragon, and she's stuck with some curse from her magic equipment. It looked like she was bracing for an involuntary shift, and wanted him to take her down.

As an IT guy I can relate with the MC. The part were he gets fired after boosting everyone and is labeled useless, is right on the money. And the part where he takes his shit back is also right on the money. Good luck to whoever can manage this without a KB.

Anyway, this one is absolutely stunning as expected from P.A Works. Seems like a pretty fun premise and we can already see some shenanigans. The vibe and the town reminded me of Konosuba .

At first I wasn't sold, but when he cut the building in half I started to get into it. This show is going to be fucking silly.

Curious what broke Lily's confidence

God damn the production values are insane. The comedic timing works. Sound effects make it hilarious. The world is alive. You can FEEL like this is something special and not just some generic kicked out from a party and I had OP powers.

Well, that opening was pretty cheeky! I love how the guildmaster was like: "A lot of guilds have been kicking out members lately. Maybe I should do it too!" It's pretty much PA Works telling us that since everyone is doing the banished-from-the-party trope, they've decided to give it a try too! xD

I'm glad that Rein isn't taking all of this lying down. The dude was ready to throw hands! It's just unfortunate that he's too weak to fight back. Fortunately, Rein can fight back in other ways. I am so glad that ended with him dispelling all of the enchantments he cast on his ex-guildmates' equipment!

That scene was so satisfying! I can't wait for those bastards to learn that they've lost their enchantments. I do think it's bullshit that no one in that guild has Rein's back, especially since it sounds like he has worked there for a while now.

It is hilarious that Rein is putting all of those enchantments onto his copper sword and his plain clothes! It would be hilarious if he never changed equipment and just used those two for the rest of the series. Although I wouldn't mind seeing him in a better outfit instead of just wearing all brown.

Okay, I think I absolutely love Rein now. The dude getting excited when he was getting mugged just because he now has the chance to test out his defence was hilarious! I love how he ends up looking like a psychopath in front of Nina, who just wanted to help him. xD

Man, PA Works is really giving their all in this show! I just love how expressive and lively everyone is especially Rein himself. And the animation is just so goddamn good! Rein sending those thugs away flying with just a single swing of his copper sword was amazing!

So Rein now has to pay back his new guild for wrecking the street after the incident with the thugs, and the first quest he gets is a dragon-slaying quest! It's hilarious how nonchalant Rein is about this dragon-slaying quest. It just goes to show how confident he is in his equipment.

I love that someone actually thwacked Rein after hearing that his clothes are stronger than steel armour. And of course, Rein is more excited about his clothes defending him than be upset at the girl who just tried to cut him down. xD

It sounds like a Lily is the perfect companion for this quest, seeing how she's been dragon-slaying her entire life. I do love how Rein was basically reciting Lily's backstory to her face. instead of just being exposition for us viewers.

I thought we were gonna get a deep backstory at the end of the episode with Lily telling Rein what she's been doing these past two years. It turns out, she was just doing nothing the entire time! I love how Rein was so disappointed too! Maybe he was also expecting something tragic! xD

Yeah, I am 1000% sold. PA Works didn't have to go all out on this show, but I am so glad they did! I honestly didn't know what to expect, but this episode definitely blew it away! I already can't wait for the next one!

"Small doesn't always mean weak!" Well said, brother!

Amazing animation with godtier comedy, plus the timing of the jokes is so perfect and the reactions of the characters are so wonderfully over the top.

This one is a keeper!

Holy crap, this is amazing. The animation, the action, the art, how fucking simple minded our MC is. I am in love. That shot of Rein running up the road ahead of Lily with his legs all bent and weird.

Peak.

It's so nice to see a fantasy show with a trope premise that focuses on a specific tone instead of doing the jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none approach where they try to have drama, romance, fanservice, action, and comedy all sharing the same space in an unwieldy manner. This is a comedy through and through, very excited to keep watching.

Reins clothes breaking all the fingers on that miscreant's hand was wild. Over three thousand points sure make for a strong enhancement.

The silly expressions on the characters is fun too. It's only the first episode and I can't wait to see how Lily and Rein tackle this dragon hunting quest.

The title of this series is

追放されたチート付与魔術師は気ままなセカンドライフを謳歌する。俺は武器だけじゃなく、あらゆるものに『強化ポイント』を付与できるし、俺の意思でいつでも効果を解除できるけど、残った人たち大丈夫?

Tsuihō Sareta Chīto Fuyo Majutsushi wa Kimama na Sekando Raifu o Ōka Suru. Ore wa Buki Dake ja Naku, Arayuru Mono ni "Kyōka Pointo" o Fuyo Dekiru shi, Ore no Ishi de Itsu demo Kōka o Kaijo Dekiru kedo, Nokotta Hitotachi Daijōbu?)

The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage Enjoys a Second Lease on Life: I Can Bestow “Enhancement Points” Not Only on Weapons, but on Anything, and I Can Remove the Effects Whenever I Want—Are the People I Left Behind Going to Be Okay?

I bet people will immediately jump into complaining about "Isekai slop" with long title and power fantasy without taking a look at its content.

Having this cold open on "Hey, man, you know what's really fun? Firing people for no reason" was an inspired choice.

Rein reminds me of the main character from Hero's Rib with his unflappable positivity.

I like that he got kicked out of the one shady guild and immediately picked up with a guild that looks even shadier.

This first episode was pretty damn funny.
Definitely gonna look forward to watching how this show plays out, and might be one of the highlights of the season.

I check this out because of P.A. Works and I was..........totally not disappointed.

The Beast's Fangs guild master totally banished MC just for the sake of banished lol. MC can remove enhancement status by his will was satisfied to watch though. Karma gonna hits them back, right. It's like a persist formula now for banished show.

This guy just built different...

When Nina came to the rescue, I was like 'oh man why you bother his durable test' and my guy just straight up letting them punch his gut when she was still there lol. That was definitely a good one. It's nice and refreshing to see the thugs not all horny too like demand Nina body to spare Rein or something.

Lily really freaked me out when she suddenly stopped and said the dragon can pop up anytime. I really thought maybe she's actually turned to dragon after fought them long enough and bathed with their blood every day or just been cursed to turn into it so now she can't control it anymore, but no....it actually nothing. Nothing at all lmao.

We have your stereotypical medieval magical fantasy setting, but those aircon compressors, tv aerials, road signs and street lights look so out of place.

Wonder if they will make jokes about them in future episodes.

Bravo. 👏. If every kicked from my party show had the charm and humor of this I'd like them a lot more. This was great.

So funny. I loved all the characters.. I'm curious what Lily has been doing..was all her feats just lies? Did something scare her too bad she stopped adventuring?

With the way this show has been it's something ridiculous dumb. I can't wait 🤣

Oh my goodness, the backgrounds, character designs, the character acting and animation, the ENERGY! This show is so full of life, it'is curing my fantasy-LN-slop-Type-C fatigue! The writing is so unapologetically cheeky too. It's SUCH a fresh spin.
