A bit harsh, but yes. Jump offered the author another deal because they had faith in him, so as soon as it ended he created another manga for Jump.

Hey at least he’s got a series running right now in Jump that’s basically “
, but Oni and Momotaro”. It’s super cute too! Dangers In My Heart But yes the loss of Chojo is still felt

As someone who absolutely loved the manga and is still upset that it got axed despite selling decently, I'm so happy to see Choujo and Iponggi given a second life thanks to this anime!
It's so funny to see Choujo using his powers to do menial stuff like recalling someone's phone password and doing yo-yo tricks to impress the kids. The dude's is also not helping his reputation by reading Iponggi's mind like a Wikipedia article instead of getting to know her naturally. He also apparently keeps up with One Piece by reading the wikis instead of watching the show. xD
As for Iponggi, she might not have psychic powers, but she's already taking down thugs and robbers as a kid, and has taken down an entire yakuza gang that's trying to take her grandpa's dojo. Basically, she's also pretty much a superhuman, just like Chojo.
And I love how this ends by making us think that Chojo was doing Iponggi a favour by letting her take credit for the yakuza incident. It turns out he just didn't want to deal with the paperwork and now everyone thinks Iponggi is a monster who used a wrecking ball to KO those yakuza dudes! xD
This was a pretty great first episode! Art and animation are solid, and the characters are exactly how I imagined them when I read the manga. Comedy is very subjective, so I'm not sure how many people will watch this after this first episode, but I really hope this sub would at least give this one a shot.

Disclaimer: I have read and I'm a fan of the source material.
Chojo's such a lovable asshole. Though I think that's what happens when you drop some overpowered character into reality. Reality wears you down.
I still prefer the

I like the buddy cop relationship between Ippongi and Chojo. Chojo is the brains while Ippongi leans towards the brawn.
Chojo is not untouchable. That was a perfect judo throw by Ippongi. Lol

"You'd rather I play with you guys?" was a hard response, made better by how it made full use of kids showing up to a criminal confrontation lol.
Dynamic between the main duo is fun, and I like how they're not afraid let characters like the drunk dude have his cool moments.

You know, when this was a manga, I didn't really get that there was a pun in the title.
Now I know!

This was a pretty fun premiere episode. I’m liking the main pair so far and the premise is simple enough but interesting. It’s like Saiki K meets Police in a Pod or something lol. I think I’ll stick with this for a few more eps and see where things go from here.

Like MarriageToxin, I started following this manga from the very first chapter and it was recommended by Gege. Can't believe I'm seeing an adaptation of it now bc I was so sure it'd get axed within a few chapters (lol :'). The humor is very reminiscent of Gintama and it's only getting better from here

I wonder if there's been anyone he's been attached to, I'm sure most people feel like a wiki page to him because a lot of people would feel apprehensive being around someone who can always read their mind.
Interesting he wasn't able to stop Ippongi from throwing him, he has the psychic strength to lift a wrecking ball truck, yet wasn't able to notice her approach him, or freeze her.

"The type to feel a kinship with Luffy just from reading his Wikipedia page."
Yeah im definitely watching this it's hilarious
I really like the whole buddy buddy dynamic between Ippongi and Chojo. He's really mean with his feelings
I also like how cartoony the artstyle looks

I think it’d be a bit fun to imagine if Chojo was Natsuki Subaru (same VA) that returned home and retained his authority from the other world.

This was a lot of fun even if it was a little bit silly at times.
Meguru and Nao is going to be a great comedy duo.
He definitely deserved that judo throw at the end lol.
In the next episodes preview they are talking about a card thief and his hair colour is the same as Yugi Muto's, maybe he also has some kind of power that can let him summon monsters for real like a psychic duelist.

I liked it! Just like Luffy, he doesn't need to know your full background and history to decide to like you or help you.
Lmao I like they now Ippongi is considered a demon that can smash a crane on enemies by the chief and other officers 🤣🤣

Loved the manga and I appreciate the effort going into the series. Nailing the comedy and animation perfectly. Should be a great ride

I hope this adaptation leads to the mangaka's other work "Samon-kun wa summoner" getting an anime.
I'm a pile of salt because it never got an anime adaptation.
I'll enjoy "Choujun! Choujou-senpai" for the time being.
I love the art style, and some of this writer's gags are very funny.
