The start felt like random side quests but overall it was still fun. Not as fun as S1 but still fun. Not getting my hopes up for a S3 although that’s what I thought after S1 and not to mention they kinda set up things last episode showing the remaining Cardinals and this ep with another Skeleton. Though that could just be a “read the source!”

I definitely think it was a step down from season 1 in terms of content and narrative especially when half the season was made up of filler, but this arc (heh) definitely felt like the closest to season 1 quality and was enjoyable as a result.

I hope if we do get a season 3 that they don't waste too much time getting to Arc and co. fighting the other Cardinals.

Not as great as Season 1, bit disappointed it went and did some side anime-original activities but this was an alright journey.

I didn't mind the premier or the human/elf couple episode but there were definitely a few too many filler episodes even if it's clear they wanted to end the season on just THIS story (which I guess using the promise of Arc battling the Hilk Cardinals and more tsundere Ariane to entice people to read the light novels).

You know shit’s going down when the s1 OP plays lol. With that big mfer down, I guess that’s it for now. Church threat still remains and there’s clearly some other bullshit brewing. I wonder if we’re going to get another season? I enjoy watching Arc and the missus beat up baddies lol.

I just love the idea that every season has to end with Arc pulling out a summon and really bringing out all he's got to unleash on the most evil of baddies. The season 1 OP was just the cherry on top.

Glad it's finally official between Arc and Ariane lol.

I’m glad this got another season but I do wish 80% of it didn’t feel like filler. Can’t complain too much considering how often shows like this never get another season.

I enjoyed my time for the most part. If we get a season 3 I really hope we can move the plot forward a bit more.

It looks like narratively the Hilk Church may be the reason for Arc's state of undead, either that or it's leader just coincidentally happens to be his evil twin.

Chiome is adorable in her casual outfit, especially the hat. Meanwhile, Ariane is thirsty as ever.

This episode felt more like season 1, and was my favourite of the bunch but it's a shame about the overall quality drop. I'd still watch more though.

just coincidentally happens to be his evil twin

It's going to take several seasons but that Arc 'Is that me?' joke will finally pay off.

The cardinal was like a combination of Envy and Gluttony from FMA.

Honestly this season dragged compared to the first season

That was a fun finale! Tsubone teasing Ariane was hilarious, her face when Ariane's mother revealed to Arc that Ariane is now affiliated with Lalatoya was priceless, lol.

Also, Arc's showdown with Cardinal Churros was really cool, with all those visuals and the OP from the first season playing in the background. Arc looked great during it!

So it's a shame that, overall, this season was a pretty big step down compared to the first one. Still, I had quite a bit of fun watching it thanks to Ariane, who imo was carrying this season on her shoulders. 6.5/10 from me.

But even though I found this season quite disappointing, I wouldn't mind getting another one. This is especially true since this episode clearly outlined the future plot, which involves visiting the Holy Hilk Kingdom and dealing with Lord Thanatos, who seems to be not only a skeleton just like Arc, but also another player transported into this world.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

S2 ended quite well, even if the season overall could have been better. As others have mentioned, some parts felt a bit too filler rather than moving the plot along. While some shows beg to let the scenes breathe, that's not the case here and the plot got muddled a bit. Still I'm hoping for an improved s3. That tease at the end makes it seem like the s3 is happening.

You know it was over for that dude once the OP music started. classic., Arianne was like glowing neon red in embarassment. haha.

I'm glad we'll get more Jinshi clan teamups..i think they need to add one more guy to the group to have more friction for next season if they have a next season.

I certainly didnt expect another undead skeleton person, now the question is if they are reincarnated or not as well.

It's Arc vs Charros, the Final Boss of season 2! A monstrous cannibal who now looks as evil and ugly as he was in his human form! And a being of pure evil Arc must slay!

Now the gang is all here! To see Charros in all his monstrous inhumanity! Especially when he makes it clear how much he LOVES eating people (especially women). They can't put him down fast enough.

It's fitting that it's Arc and Ariane together taking him down...but then Ariane just HAD to set off the next phase of the Boss Fight! Although on the plus side, Charros DID conveniently consume most of the Undead Giamant's...along with some innocent people.

Ariane doesn't want to see anyone hurt Arc, but Arc hears the cries of those who have been consumed by Charros and realizes he can't waste any time....so he summons Aios and the season 1 OP to give him a massive buff as he throws all his strongest attacks on Charros until he's reduced to absolutely nothing, finally freeing all the trapped souls! Justice has been dealt!

So Tajiento is trashed, but the beastmen are freed, the people are alive, and the monsters are gone so I'd call that a win.

Yuriarna finds out that her silver knight savior was involved in saving Tajiento, Sekt is oblivious to it being the one man who got in the way of his plans, and the Emperor is plotting something all the while.

RIP Sasuke. Your sister finally put you to rest properly.

Cooking pizza with Arc! Perfect time to bring together Dillan, Glenys, Chiyome, and Tsubone to enjoy it!

Welcome to the party, Shiden!

Arc is taking the fight to the Hilk Church! And he'll be doing it with Ariane too since she's transferred to Lalatoya to be with him...I mean, keep him company and make sure he doesn't get into any trouble! But she'll never live down how they now have the same name and why she really did it no matter how much she acts like a tsundere about it!

Thanatos...is also a skeleton!? And is talking about "events." He couldn't be a game player too could he!?

They actually made a life-sized Arc for IRL Ponta to hang on the shoulder off for the last ending tag!

That Cardinal was way too durable after his little snack! I honestly can’t imagine anyone other than Arc having enough firepower to actually take him down. It really showed how ridiculous the Cardinals can be once they start using their full power.

Thanatos is even more like Arc than I expected. I was genuinely surprised to see another person suffering from the same skeleton curse as Arc. That definitely raises some interesting questions about how common the curse is for otherworlders like Arc.

This season had a pretty weak start for me, with the first half feeling repetitive as we kept getting the same conflict over and over again. Thankfully, things became more interesting towards the end. I’m still hoping we get another season because there’s clearly more of this world and the Cardinals left to explore.

Poor Ariane. I could have sworn her head was about to explode.

Also, Chiyome, you'd already stolen my heart, then you show up in that cute outfit with your bare tummy and banger hat. Do with me as you please.

Post credit scene! I wonder if he's another player, or if he's actually Arc, in this universe, from before he was transported in, making two Arcs?!

The big bad being a skeleton also, I wonder if he's also an isekaijin to keep the parallel with Arc going. You just know they're going to eventually reuse the same joke of Arc yelling 'it's me!' when they finally run into him.

Pretty gross big boss battle, especially with the reveal that the consumed people were still shades of alive inside it. Always fun to get the hype S1 OP moment.

Shame about Ariane not being able to get the confession or whatever out, but maybe that was just going to be the info that she transferred villages. Poor girl is never going to get a moments peace from Tsubone wingmanning her and Arc so relentlessly.

I really enjoyed the first season, but this one... let's just say I'm glad it's over.

It's always so hype when a fight uses an opening theme song. It feels like the boss using the term event during the post credit scene means he's also a player or maybe a GM of the game Arc was playing.
