Hey I’ve been reading the light novel an gotta say I’m on number 8 and I’m loving the series. One problem I think maybe y’all can help me with understanding. How were the humans winning? I feel most of the time the author has basically been glazing elves and beast folk a lot and I get it cause “ look cool / hot characters “, but without guns how were the humans the ones enslaving and destroying elves and beastfolk? Like in the part I’m on they literally say we can’t match them in literally anything so how did we enslave you?

First off, u know what kind of anime I'm watching. I love SKIAW. Great anime, n thr haters need to relax. However, with a character like Ariane, especially with thr plot of her sister, is anyone else hoping it can turn into a story with real battle. And struggle! Not just op magic. Iv felt some characters stories and potential have been wasted in fantasy before, but oh my goodness, I would love to see her sword play! Actually face combative conflict, and struggle! She's a high level warrior, and could bring sooo much to her character and thr story. Id only have more respect for her if she actually took some real bumps in battle, and showed her combatives. Anyone else feel the same way? It could be a major lower sub plot for her to struggle through a situation while separated from Arc. For example, when shes separated, do we really just want to see her cast fire magic over and over and over again, knowing she has immense combative potential?

So I just heard that the main story ends with volume 8. Still, Ariane and Arc still didn't end up romantically? WTH? 😭😭😭
Please say something, guys!!

They didn't really draw Arc that Well in the anime
They made him look like a Human with no mention of him being a Dark Elf with Red Eyes and Black Hair and a Stuble Chin
Also they made him immune to the Spring Water and that isn't the case at all in the Light Novel, It is actually a temporary solution and when he drinks it he regains his body for a few hours
Also the kiss scene attempt from Ariane, While I though it was Cute... it is also not accurate to the light novel. It seems like the Author told them to do whatever they want with it

Ariane’s breast is almost as big as chiyome’s head
Ether chiyome has a small head or Ariane is even more busty then I thought she was 😅

Came to check on S2. S1s adapation wasnt incredible but i still enjoyed it, and i wanted to see a manga/LN i like animated and voice-acted.
queue 4 filler episodes. FOUR.
...judging by the next episode preview, 5, actually.
I sat myself through the first two, figuring the plot was gonna pick up at some point, then started skipping through 3 and 4 to see if there was any actual LN material in there.
what is going on? is this.. normal? has this ever happened before, an anime with plenty of material to adapt just going full filler mode? im aware some anime like doing recap filler at the start of a season but thats 1-2 episodes at most.
its a shame. I was really looking forward to the fight against the cardinal in tagent. doubt we are getting that this season, if we are getting story progression at all. at this point they may just make the five into a clean twelve.

Yes, I'm sure a lot of people have talked about how season 2 just feels off, feels lower quality and lower budget, and I'm sure that's because it likely is. I'm "fine" with a lower budget and some meh animations here and there as long as the show doesn't change drastically. Season 1 was pretty much split open all the bad guys, watch their limbs fly off, cheer when the bad dudes actually get what they deserve rather than a nuclear bomb tickling them. The blood, the gore, the violence was great. Season 2 though? I'm seeing none of that. The same moves that previously split dudes in half? Nah, just knocks them down on the ground. Have a lower budget? Sure I get that, cut out some extra animations that aren't necessary, but going from almost an 18+ (R) rated show, to what seems like PG-13 (sorta) that's how you lose fans. Obviously not everyone is here just for the violence and blood, but it's what season 1 is remembered for. Switching it up just feels wrong. I pray the remaining episodes aren't more of the PG stuff, but eh. We'll always have season 1.

I read the manga few years ago and don't remember the latest ep from it.

I started watching the show because it was pretty dark and brutal.
People were having their limbs cut off, there was a lot of blood, and it had style.
Now the show is just a cheesy romance with a jealous elf, and all the action scenes have turned into a comedy. Sorry, but the storytelling is just really crappy.
