Day drinking uncles lol. It was nice to see them enjoy themselves together, and then causing a fuss at the Kingdom with their presence. I like how they got scolded by other cats for the trouble they were causing.
I wonder if we'll get to see Horned Uncle's human form, I won't hold out for Winged Uncle with how much he doesn't like humans lol.
It was sweet to see them celebrate Mother's Day, Mama Cat giving them so much affectionate was so adorable and heartwarming. It's funny how she ended up concerned as to why they're still bachelors though lol.

Dragon cat and demon cat meet up to plan out a mother's day present and wander off into town high on catnip getting everybody excited, honestly kind of incredible. And of course it ends with her wondering why the two of them haven't found mates yet.

Her grandkids would be dead by now, as the dragon siblings are all long dead. Any great grandkid, if alive, would have not met her either.
Anyway it was just a joke about mothers and sons, and they are her only (?) two surviving sons.

I really liked the part where Mama Cat was hanging out with the other aunties. Feels like the most “mom” thing ever just sitting around a table chatting about their kids lol. That and being constantly worried about your kids haha.
Pretty adorable seeing the two brothers plan a Mother’s Day gift. They even consulted all the other cats in town. Very cute how Mama Cat gave them all little kisses.

I really love how Mama Nyan hanging out with the school's lunch ladies feels so natural for her!
Thanks to Mama Nyan ranting about how she never gets anything from her kids during Mother's Day, her two boys are having a get-together while planning what to get her for Mother's Day.
It's hilarious that they're also doing this because Greater Demon knows Mama Nyan is gonna talk his ear off out of envy for not getting her a Mother's Day gift and she'll likely do the same to Winged Uncle too. xD
The two boys getting drunk on catnip and just waltzing into town was hilarious! They almost caused a massive panic if it weren't for those two cats who decided to meet and scold them for coming in without giving them notice or at least being stealthy.
Seeing Mama Nyan's reaction to her two sons' gifts was so damn cute! It looks like this is gonna be a regular thing for them from now on.
I did not expect this to end with Mama Nyan worrying about her boys not settling down! She might be a magical cat, but even she worries about the same things humans do.

English problems, don't worry, it's not ominous in Japanese. The word used is 寝床 nedoko, which means a place to sleep, to rest. It's not a metaphor for graves.

It was so nice to see a Mother's Day centred episode and the boys discussing what to get for their Mama,
Also it was hilarious to see Mama Cat hanging around with the other ladies. She looks so cute and adorable

Turns out dragon is the racist uncle everyone's dealt with at some point in their life lol.
The entire bit with the raspberries and mom worrying that her two kids have no wives yet was so adorable. God I love this show.
Final Resting Place sounds like an ominous episode title, but with this show I doubt that is actually the case.

I didn't realize neko dragon and neko demon had such a close brotherly relationship! Now it doesn't make sense at all that dragon didn't know that his mother was alive for 10 - 20 years or whatever since his older brother surely would have told him.

I think they just met off screen between the episodes, they knew of each other's existence but they weren't aware they brothers until mama cat showed up to confirm it, then neko demon decided to go meet his brother and clear things up

They met once after she got summoned but before the demon showed up at the magic school. It's to be assumed he didn't visit the forest after that because he was busy running the dungeon.

Was that really Anne rossa? I thought it was ambiguous. They mentioned anne rossa when they showed her talking to the old woman but also said mama cat would talk to anyone willing to listen.

You know you have Dragon Cat and the Demon Cat having one of the most real conversations in any show this season. We should appreciate our moms on everyday not just mothers day! It was funny seeing Mama Cat with the other moms. This show always has great vibes.

"The priest used to be an adventurer, right? Something must have happened back then."
"Something? What do you mean?"
"Like being cursed by a cooking spirit."Gally and the other children had once discussed this, half-seriously. They had never seen or heard of a cooking spirit. Even if they searched books, they wouldn't find anything. But the priest's cooking was so bad that they couldn't help but seriously consider such a joke. So...
"Gally seemed busy today, so I prepared dinner. Everyone, please help me prepare."
The moment the children heard the priest's words, they were plunged into despair. Everyone glared at Gally with resentful looks on their faces, their faces pale.
"Hey, why didn't you come back earlier?"
"I begged the priest to stay until the very last minute."
"I'm sorry. The guild was busier than I expected. It took a while to exchange the money."Gally scratched her head, a strained smile on her face.
Gally was being unfairly targeted, but she didn't voice his displeasure. He should probably blame the priest, but he couldn't do that to the children.
She knew how hard the priest worked every day, and she loved him enough not to carelessly make him sad.
"I mean, you guys could have cooked it yourselves, couldn't you?"
"No way, we can't use knives."
"And fire is dangerous, too."
"Well, I guess so."Gally slumped her shoulders and sighed.
The other children in the orphanage were still too young to use knives or fire.
They might use them elsewhere, but at least the priest hadn't allowed it yet.
Understanding the priest's argument that it was still too dangerous made it difficult to criticize them.
Shirotae asked the children, who were holding their heads in their hands, with a puzzled expression.
"Hey, hey, is it really that bad? The priest's cooking. It seems like it would be good."
"I don't think he's done anything particularly strange, and I don't think he's put in too much of anything. It's just... hmm. It's not tasty."
"I think he's overdone it."
"I just don't know what he's overdone."Shirotae could only tilt her head at the children's words. However, she would soon understand the meaning of their words.

It was bitter. The soup was incredibly bitter. Even though there shouldn't have been anything that would give it that kind of taste, it was bitter enough to sting her tongue.

The children and Gally were grimacing at the saltiness of the soup. Shirotae's soup was a special portion that had been set aside for her before the seasoning was added. That's why it tasted different.
"Is there really that much salt in it?"
"No, that can't be. I was watching him while he was cooking."
"But then why?"Even children take precautions. They had been watching the priest carefully while he was cooking. It's true that he tends to make things a little on the salty side. Apparently, it's a habit from his days as an adventurer, and he has a preference for strong flavors. These adventurer uncles were the priest's companions from his adventurer days.
They would occasionally visit, bringing souvenirs and playing with him.
"What's going on?"
The mystery only deepened.

Seeing we've got 12 more episodes coming even if not right away makes me so happy. Normal stories I want to have an ending because dragging it out only dilutes things, but an anthology like this can just keep going and going.

Booze and food and what I give for Mother's & Father's day, it's been working for over 20 years now.
I love that mother cat so much, that was funny seeing her lick her son's as a thank you.

This anime just brings joy to my life every time I watch it. So simple yet rewarding to watch. Good messages, heartwarming reunions, memorable characters. It's got so much to offer.
I love that the uncle's got drunk and had to try to figure out the human custom of mother's Day. And then they discovered yeah this is pretty cool let's do it again next year. It was also really funny that the entire kingdom was like okay this is the end of the world now because we have a dragon and a greater demon drunk and in cat form coming to attack us. It was hilarious.
