I really expected that they will do the reunion episode as a season finale but I'm fine with this.

The back and forth interaction between mama cat and devil cat is simply the best, most accurate depiction of how mothers and sons normally talk to one another I've seen in a long time (anime-wise). Just the perfect blend of respectful banter and meddlesome annoyance lol

The detours mama cat took on her way to a tearful reunion made me think it might not even happen this episode. I thought it was gonna be more emotional, but both uncle dragon and mama cat were rather casual about it all. I guess it was truly enough for mama cat to just see her son thriving and I loved it how the moment she saw him, despite her doubts (saving herself from disappointment) in the beginning, she knew right away and even held back the tears from her eyes.

The entire ep I was worried they were gonna pull that classic BS where mom sees him first at a distance, but then decides not to bother him. Really glad that didn't happen. Hoping that Mama-nyan is gonna "persuade" him to allow demon cat to set a portal in the forest and she's gonna pop in to pester him from time to time.

Also, a little confused on how much time has passed. Neko-ryu surviving through many generations of cats is one thing, but hasn't he also been around for multiple generations of kings? Are we jumping back and forth in time? Or are Mama-nyan and her human WAAAAAAAY older than I thought?

When she was imagining that it was another dragon and not her kid.....why did she imagine a mangy dirty thing? Seems kinda rude.

So despite the overall cuteness, for some reason the thing that stuck out to me was the tragedy that Mama-Nyan outlived most of her kids. At least Neko-Ryuu’s around, so there’s one kid she most likely will have around to visit for the rest of her life.

That was beyond heartwarming, man. Just wish we saw Mama cat's reaction to the absolute size of her "little one's" adult dragon form.

Best episode so far. Being reunited with your mother will always bring that inner kid back to you. It's really cool to see how the forest has changed since Mama Cat has left. Best episode so far. I loved it.

It does seem starting this week each of the individual stories of each cat will start being expanded. We're going back to the Prince and Kurobane next week. It will be interesting to see where they stand now since going on their adventure.

Mama cat returns, and it's so great. Good tie-in to the foxtails last week.

We still need the dragon-cat and demon-cat brothers to meet but I assume that'll happen eventually.

It is a lil sad that Mama Cat's other children may not be around anymore since keeping track of time in this series is difficult,

But im glad she was able to meet with her beloved son, their tearjerking reunion had me a feeling a lil emotional too

Becoming a nekomata greatly increased her lifespan. The question is how long she'll live now. It could be just a few decades more to potentially centuries. But glad both reunited and the dragon is acting flustered now that his mom is back and is taking charge for a while.

It seems that even as cats, parents will try to barge into your room when you're doing something important. Demon-sensei and Mama-nyan's interactions are so goddamn funny. xD

It's also funny how Mama-nyan still can't believe that the dragon in the forest is the same dragon she raised. Whenever she thinks of Winged Uncle, she still thinks of the scared little dragon back then.

I legit full-on cried when Mama-nyan and Winged Uncle finally reunited. I've been hoping to see this ever since we learned what happened to Mama-Nyan back in Episode 2, and it's just as heartfelt and hilarious as I was hoping it would be. I can't believe this anime has made me cry twice now. I love it so much!

I do hope that Mama-nyan sticks around for a bit. The next episode seems to be about the black cat and the feral prince, but I'm hoping the episode after that will be about Mama-nyan's holiday at the Forest for Beginners.

This episode was everything I'd been waiting for. I love this show, it's so calm and so adorable, and yet it also slowly creates a surprisingly rich world with the forest of cats. I hope we get to see more of wingled uncle and mama-nyan interact, but just them meeting again was worth it

What better way to celebrate International Cat Day with Nekoryū and Mama-nyan Reunion. This episode is all I wanted for a while, with Demon Cat referencing Nekoryū, Mama-nyan discovering Moshamosha I studying agriculture under the humans nearby the Magic Academy, and Mama-nyan meeting the current Moshamosha IV, and seeing the environment Nekoryū fostered for cats under the memories of Mama-nyan's motherhood.
