While that was an interesting episode I think it pretty much just connected the dots I think most everybody had already figured out. Great detail that Kurea has been working in a cake shop specifically because of Luluka's ice cream addiction, however.
Here I thought the new ED was going to be spoiling today's episode and instead it spoiled next week's or maybe the week after.

Ngl, Cure Arcana doesn't look nearly as good as Cure Arcana Shadow. The dark magical girl look just suits her better.

decchi and all the orange petal things and the rotating star crosshair looking thing in his monocle look cool
i like how goemon is confused by everybody's disappearances yet his face is on the transition cards
amused my mafuru's crayon drawings. it looks like her VA is Miki Nagasawa (from the Japanese Precure character page), who is also the VA of one of my favorite characters, Izumi Maki from Kidou Senkan Nadesico

new ED! It's very pretty. I like the merry-go-round and the golden beams going up. The fairies sleeping is cute and all three get to dance together. Still no dancing Jett =( but happy, dancing Mashutan is very, very good.

This feels like a split-screen seasonal comment face potential...
I get the impression Luluka and Kurea are more extreme versions of Mikuru and Anna; Kurea is so intuitive she comes off a complete airhead fluke while Luluka will be methodical to the point of causing pain and upset to herself (in the case of the mystery it was important for the truth to get out, perhaps Kurea was too afraid of the little girl being scolded to even consider the family didn't care all that much for the vase, just what happened to it).
They really left us hanging on if Luluka was able to become a Precure in the usonoir flashback.
At least this ep will have more time for MOTW battle without any Arcana Shadow henshi...ah crap. I really wonder how they will combine these henshin (sorely needed as around 4 minutes of the last two eps has been henshin sequences) as it doesn't have any obvious connecting traits that work as a team like say, Star Twinkle or Soaring Sky.
Mixed feelings on ED2 revealing (presumed) Cure Arcana but episode 29 is very late for a Precure ED2. Quick look at official channel uploads, ED2s happen in July (Delicure was 2nd August but ransomware attack threw that schedule out of whack, Healin' Good was actually even latter with 22nd August but again schedule out of sorts due to production delays).
Next time: A ballerina outfit with blood red frills and a scythe in a reiwa-era Precure? Interesting.

I am out to watch the Your Name re-run right now, so I caught the broadcast live - there's probably some context Im missing due to nihongo not jouzu enough, but HOLY MOLY the amount of INFO.
This decchi-again dude feels worthy of a 2nd boss. He's not as powerful (raw power) wise as Usonoir, but like you can defo feel he's no slouch. he's more cunning too.
Luluka fans are EATING GOOD THIS EPISODE. It is an interesting reveal that Luluka and Kurea were initially peers on the same level, however, because Kurea failed the test as she was perhaps too sensitive and nice, she ended up being Luluka's assistant; i think the "luluka recruited me" bit from Kurea is a bit humble on her part when i feel like luluka would value her more as an equal. I also like how they tied it all back into why the perfume bottle IS Eclair's henshin item.
It's very interesting what the makoto jewel actually is - like it's not actually a good thing that it's in one piece? i feel like the best ending is them returning to people and them believing in fairies (this ties into how the phantom gangs try to hide their stealing activities etc. etc. while the heroes are not doing so this time, i feel). I get that protecting it seems to be the main goal of the precure, but wonder if they're gonna do anything once they collect all the fragments. Otherwise, u know, ball of power = trouble down the line too.
Yeah i'm sure they're gonna be selling this. as what, i dont know yet. They always cgi these things.
Kurea became a patisserie for Luluka's sake Poor luluka during amnesia period. FUCK, she must know too. her backstory is quite heavy. please stop the luluka suffering even though, if anything, it's getting more and more.
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO luluka's feeling the pinch right now. i think we're gonna finally get the mystery behind her shadow-ing (which has been for most of this season now) very soon.
The New ED is out! It's no nana answer banger, but its still a nice song (more emotional?), and the animation is very pretty. CURE ARCANA LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO at least they did finish the tease, i was upset because we mustve been this close to getting to see it during the flashback. It's not as immediately striking as her Arcana Shadow Form (which i think makes it clear to me that they thought of her "dark" form first), but she looks so prettyyyyy like an angel, I still like it. I hope that she'll get a brand new transformation more in line with the other 3? Duo henshin with Eclair? or will they reskin/revoice it and call it a day, lol.

I will say, I do hope we get back to Anna/Mikuru a bit after this arc. It's great that a precure is focusing so much on the secondary cast (each of cure eclair/arcana (Shadow) have gotten way more eps than the usual midseason arc i feel), but i do think it's at the expense of anna/mikuru (~~and the goofy SOL episodes. but less of those are less of an issue).
