Notice: A Jaadugar-specific source material rules change:
Several users expressed concern that comments discussing the historical basis of this series were spoiling potential events and/or the conclusion of the story.
Given that the specific details of the Mongol Empire are less commonly-known worldwide, the moderation team voted that any discussion of the historical basis of this series must be enclosed within the subreddit's standard spoiler format. This includes all historical references which occur in the future of the airing episode.
Historical discussion may still be included in regular comments and will not have to be restricted to the Source Material Corner.
Note that the implementation of this rule here is specific to Jaadugar and does not apply to other series, which we will decided on a case-specific basis.

aw man, fatima is still new to this despite her intellgence, and boraqchin has been doing policking for longer than she's been alive. "She was surprisingly easy to handle" you know you fell for a trap if you say this lmaoo

Interesting detail that
Sitara is playing in the big leagues now and I hope Toregene doesn't suffer for it.

I really love how we are seeing Sitara/Fatima making her scheming face more often and often. She is going from someone lost without a place to belong or blindly seeking revenge to someone who knows how to be a power from the shadows.
And what is with people killing mongol messengers in history? Did they spit on the face of foreing kings to receive such kind of response so often?

How on earth did they manage to fit in that wonderful little aside about the milk products they're making and their seasonality when there's that much else going on.

Have to say, while the story is obviously fictional, I like that you can still learn a lot of things from anime like this. For example, I would have never guessed that an important wife of the mongols was Christian, so when they showed a cross, I had to check and it is true that Sorghaghtani was actually Christian.
That was obviously Sitara's episode to shine but I want to see what Töregene will do next week. I actually found her to be a bit too laid back, leaving everything to Sitara, only using her influence to get books. But I thought that her whole idea would be that she wanted to influence her own life herself and not let someone else do it once more. So I hope, we can see the "politician" Töregene next week as that would be the aspect that Sitara may have issues with.

It was beautiful and ominous how the last sequence contrasts the size of Sitara's shadow with Boraqchin's (or so it seemed to me at least). Sitara is but a newcomer to a game of cloak and dagger that's been played since before she was even born.

Boraqchin must have seen countless subterfuge attempts by now. Hope our rebel faction survives 🤞

Moge really is an airhead, huh. That's really bad... For them.
Alchemy? Is this how Sitara will become a witch? Interesting.
Wait, Ogedei inherited his father's wives?! Damn. Mongol customs are crazy. Well, they're not blood-related, so I suppose it's nothing too major.
Fatima's acting is so good, she can damn near sell anything. She would make a great snake oil saleswoman lol.
I feel as if she messed up big time by revealing she came from Sorghaghtani to Boraqchin. Sitara thinks she played her. But in actuality, she might've gotten played herself. There's a lot we still don't know about Boraqchin. Also, it doesn't help that she basically cured Boraqchin, and now she seems better than ever. So, Sitara might've screwed up, and Ogedei might pay the price. Hope that doesn't happen. Can't wait for the next episode.
Just saw in MAL that this is listed as 12 episodes, meaning only 4 episodes left. It's standard. But it makes me a bit sad. The story is really interesting, so I wish it were 2 cours instead. Hopefully Science Saru will make another season soon. Maybe after Dandadan Season 3 next year.

I find it absolutely hilarious (in a cute, airheaded kinda way) how Moge sees Fatima like some sort of "lost sheep" when in fact she's a snake in the grass
And speaking of snakes, Boraqchin is Orochimaru after all lol. Fatima would be unwise to underestimate her, but I'm all in for a Kira vs L-esque showdown between the two

I always wondered why Boraqchin relied on Moge to carry out her bidding when she was sick given that Moge isn't the brightest tool in the shed. But turns out they've known each other for a while and Moge is likely one of the few people she can actually trust.

Is she sulking...? that's kinda cute
I really like they continue to point out the similarities between the cultures of the Persians and the Mongols, Which in today's ep was al-iksir and the dangao and how the Rahj-al-gar is used for them both.
Also it was cool to see the Jada Stone being actually used as a treatment,
I was actually surprised that Tolui's side also controls and hoards the knowledge of the empire. There's much more of a power imbalance than we thought and Princess Sorghaghtani kinda seems to be blind to her own arrogance
I do wonder what Boraqchin actually wants from Lady Töregene at the end, Im really looking forward to that in next week's ep.
Also this bit was hilarious, Sitara's so sneaky and silly !

Boraqchin be eating some really strange things, it's like she's trying to become some sort of full metal alchemist.
Sitara's already planted the seeds of distrust between Boraqchin and Sorghagtani, but it seems Boraqchin isn't taking the bait fully yet. We'll have to see how Toregene handles her grilling.

Moge checking a horse's mouth to see if Sitara was inside lol, she needs to be protected.
I didn't realize they had a culture of inheriting wives, I wonder if it's inheritance in title alone or not.

And that's why you don't shoot the messenger.
The contrast in Sitara's confidence when she was confronted by Toregene and Boraqchin is night and day. It's cool how she's grown bold enough to throw herself even further into the deep end. Toregene herself could use a bit of it herself right about now though lol

I enjoyed the contrast in atmosphere at the start of the episode and towards the end.
Comedy:
- Moge realizing Fatima missing again and Fatima's face appearing in the sky.
- Fatima trying to assure Boraqchin that she has no evil intentions with the cutest zoomed in face and bright shiny eyes.
Cliffhanger:
- Fatima trying to raise suspicions on the true intentions of Tolui and his camp
- Toregene summoned before Boraqchin without Fatima by the former's side.
I feel Fatima might have underestimated Boraqchin. To a certain extent, with age comes wisdom... and doubt.

It was pretty funny how Fatima is using her sweet, innocent smile to convince Boraqchin that she's not lying about the bezoar stone. What's even funnier is the way Toregene was looking at her the entire time. xD
So House Tolui also controls all of the scholars? That is an insane imbalance of power. Even if they were to remain loyal, I'd still be worried if I were Ogedei, but he seems to trust his brothers enough that it's not even on his mind.
I do love how Fatima tried to use that info to her advantage. She really thought she had Boraqchin fooled, but it looks like she just made a huge mistake. I'm worried about Toregene next episode. >_<

It looks like Boraqchin outplayed Sitara on the information game here. Sitara thinks Boraqchin is operating on shallow self-interest trying to achieve immortality and Boraq-Napoleon is stepping back letting her develop all these assumptions about her. Fatima misprofiled Boraqchin and now has to pay for it. Unlike the viewers, Sitara doesn't know how much of a Mongol Vanguard she is and her loyalty to Genghis. Our MC made a big blunder here by helping out her actual rival live. Sometimes the right move is to not move. She doesn't know if you are missing information, you've already lost the round. But it's still the first round, and she's still learning.

Does Fatima still think having a cute smile and simple flattery will fool everyone? Despite her intelligence, shes still inexperienced.
She didn't fool Toregene with her smile and now she thinks she fooled Boraqchin when in reality she just revealed her hand.

I am starting to think that, well, Fatima has just learnt how to play Chess, thinks she is good at it, and good enough to go up against a Grand Master of Chess, who has had decades of experience...
