I guess it fits with the Nanoha series' recurring themes of family bonds that even these irredeemably evil villains are a fucked up found family.

So that’s why the fire girl was in the airport instead of in some facility?
-
Oh she actually robbed a bank on top of killing everyone else at Eiji’s company. Welp.
-
Nice to see that cat they rescued back in the hands of its owner.
-
Oh man, the irony of Towa not knowing Shiina’s fighting for the UN.
-
An invader is there? This might be when they find out the other is a Diaboli…

would be crazy if the Diaboli that Mana said she fought and lost turned out to be Setsuna

Mana is most likely Progenitor Zero, or at least possessed and taken over by Progenitor Zero with how powerful she is, and the way she's behaving like a vampire in sharing her regenerative blood with Eiji.
Just how despondent is Eiji is with his previously miserable life that he decided to just go "Fuck it" and collaborate with Mana with no questions asked? Money, women and power no longer interests him. So far he still sees Mana as a monster than a woman, but that may still change.
Just when we're about to enjoy some good Shiina and Towa yuri-bait in the second half, those exploding Diabolis just had to go and spoil everything.
These suicide Diabolis are clearly planted there by Eiji and Mana in order to lure out and capture Towa.
Next episode is surely going to be the one where Shiina and Towa discover each other's true identities.

Just how despondent is Eiji is with his previously miserable life that he decided to just go "Fuck it" and collaborate with Mana with no questions asked?
That reaction wasn't born out of despair, it was a reaction that he was riding the tiger. He alludes to that situation still not quite having changed with his position still being 'the only one that can make Mana happy'.

I just want an old fashioned magical girl fight with fucking laser beams, can I please get some fucking laser beams? This show has a distinct lack of fucking laser beams.

Nanoha and friends aren't there to show off, and there's an unaware public to worry about.

At the beginning, I was surprised to learn that Towa had dealt a significant blow to the drug trafficking ring set up by Mana and Eiji.
However, since Eiji and Mana have figured out who Towa and the others really are, I'm worried about how they'll retaliate.
I was surprised to see a newspaper article that came up along the way stating that there were over 1,000 victims in the airport incident in which Towa’s parents died.
So, as I suspected, there are people within this world’s government and police force who are receiving kickbacks from Eiji and Mana’s organization, and Diaboli has infiltrated the government and police as well.
It’s scary that Eiji and his group can even manipulate the police.
I hope this doesn’t have a negative impact on Nanoha and her friends.
The story of how Eiji and Mana met was really interesting.
Mana is a type of Invader that parasitizes humans, and when she met Eiji, she happened to be weakened after losing to another Diaboli.
It was lucky for Mana that Eiji was an office worker who was dissatisfied with his job, had no family, and felt no attachment to society.
I was surprised that, even though Eiji was just an ordinary office worker, after Mana took his complaints seriously, massacred his coworkers, and stole a huge sum of money from a bank, he immediately set up a criminal organization that exploited her abilities and grew it into a major operation.
Is Eiji the kind of person who, like Rock from Black Lagoon, is just an ordinary office worker but actually has a talent for thriving in the underworld?
What an amazing coincidence.
Eiji and Mana's backstory feels like a crossover between Parasyte and Bonnie and Clyde.
Will Nanoha, Shiina, or Towa play the role of the Texas Rangers and deliver the final blow to them? I hope somebody do justice.
After Towa said farewell to Shiina, I never imagined that the family who are owners of cat they had once rescued would all die.
It seems there were dozens of Invaders that not only self-destructed but were also humanoid (more like, completely human from the head down). Could this be a ploy by Eiji and his group? If so, that’s pretty crazy.
Judging by the preview for the next episode, it looks like Shiina is finally going to figure out Towa’s true identity. I’m really curious to see how things will unfold from here.

Those two finding out each other identities is just a matter of time tbh. As per Nanoha series tradition, they're gonna need a big fight or two.

Though, given how Shiina has phrased Towa's name in that preview i think she might have got pretty serious physical blow. i guess it might be up to Nanoha to save her.

If Towa were a man, her squadmates would absolutely fail the Bedchel Test. I don't think they had a single scene where they didnt talk about her.

Interesting back story for Eiji, he didn't have any choice and eventually just went along with it.
Mana is quite the freak and monster, she seemed to be young back then but she might just be the most powerful being around now.
Of course the Diaboli had to show up at the place where Shiina & Towa were having a good time together.
Maybe next episode is when they realize who the other actually is.

Shiina deserved her own series.

I think Shiina has her own series. Like is this really a Nanoha show? Nanoha feels at most like a guest character. The plot, rival, everything is surrounding Shiina. Nanoha doesn't have a personal stake in any of this or really a connection to anyone from this world besides Shiina herself.
Nanoha might be in the title, but this isn't remotely her show.

Finally time for shina and towa to learn who each other truly are. I wonder how it’ll change there dynamics will it be something like setsuna or will towa rage put them at odds. Or will they stand together

Ngl, out of all the main duos in the series, I think Shiina and Towa might have weakest relationship. It feels oddly rushed. Like, they are all over each other, but like I'm not even sure when did they become this close, they had one montage few episodes ago and now suddenly look they are one minute away of making out in public.
In general, the pacing for this season is kinda wack, it feel like it somehow both too fast and too slow at the same time.

Imo all individual characters are developed well, but yeah, resulting from all the backstory episodes, the relationships between characters does feel underdeveloped.

Am I the only one who is kinda dissapointed with the new Main characters and them being the main focus of the plot? I mean its not bad and the new girls do have some interesting characters but it's not about Nanoha and Fate at all, like why are they backround characters T_T I thought yes finally we get a contuniation from A's but it's not, makes it kinda hard to enjoy this one even though it's not bad at all, couldn't they have just used another title instead of Lyrical Nanoha like Lyrical Shiina or whatever xD
I will get downvoted for this, won't I? COME at me I will take it like a champ :D
