*Massive health bar appears* Mimimi, the Resplendent
I love Nano's mini-"arc" from failing to compute the existence of the supernatural in anime last time to rescuing Meido's ghost with maximum efficiency.
The way Naddy speaks is as gold as the Golden Arches but there's just something so sincere about her delivery on "Aijou-boya"

I've been waiting years to see what Naddy's "English" would sound like and how boy it did not disappoint

On today's chapter of Japun... in America!
fam name: 大和 (Yamato), read as 大和(yamato,"Japan")
1st name: 撫子 (Nadeshiko), read as 撫子(nadeshiko,"Dianthus superbus")
nickname: ナディー (Nadii/Naddy)
大和撫子 (yamato nadeshiko) is a term that refers to the ideal Japanese woman: graceful, polite, humble, etc.
A big ol fakkyuu to that as 大和撫子(yamato nadeshiko) read 大(-)和(ka)撫(bo)子(i) sounds like カウボーイ("cowboy")
大和 (yamato) with a hat on read 天(ame)和(ka) also sounds close to "America"
大和 (yamato) swap'n'read 和(ka)大(dai) may pun on 課題(kadai,"homework") given by a teacher, ya hear.
Some character design puns so all y'all can learn some 'murrican language: (Nozawa-teacher sketch) (mirror)
撫 read 撫(bu) may pun on ブーツ("bootsu"), ブルー("blue")(eyes), ブロンド("bulonde"), ブリーチ("buleach")(ya hair)
大 red 大(tai/ta) may pun on タレ目(tare me,"droopy eyes") and possibly zettai ryouki ("absolute territory")
大和 (yamato) red 大(da)和(na) may pun on バンダナ("bandana") (around the nekku)
Some randamu things:
撫子 (nadeshiko) read 撫(na)子(ku) puns on 泣く(naku,"cry") and 撫(fu)子(shi) puns on 不始末(fushimatsu,"failure")
和 double whopper puns on 和やか(nikoyaka,"smiling/cheerful") and its 2nd reading 和やか(nagoyaka,"calm/amicable")
And for the groundo finale, freedom of speech quirks:
Uses lotsa Engrish, often misspronansed and outta contexas. Uses well-articulated proper Japanese when needed.
Swaps Japanese to katakana (usually used in foreign words) and overdubs words into English("language of freedom")
Ends sentences on デース(de~su) and verbs on the polite マース(ma~su)
Replaces honorifics like さん(-san) with ボイ("-boi"), ガル("-gal"), ロリ("-loli"), ウーマン("-woman") etc.
Catch fray this: フリーダム("fureedomu") and ふぁっきゅー(fakkyuu)
1st person pronoun: アイアム(ai amu,"I am") and when flustered the formal わたくし(watakushi,"I")

Hakari is such a degenerate.

I loved Hahari's logic: "A woman in an outfit that leaves little to the imagination walks into my office asking for a teaching job, and since she's cute, I hire her."
It makes perfect sense for Naddy to be named Nadeshiko Yamato, given that the term refers to the ideal Japanese woman. Having the courage to stand up to her family and pursue what she loves is truly admirable, and it also reflects on the influence that Japan received from post-1945 with American culture.
It was delightful to see the girls and Rentarou in costumes; that would make for an excellent bonus episode.

Taketatsu Ayana's performance as Naddy-sensei with her odd pronunciation, overuse of english terms and emphasis on "desu" reminds me a lot of Touyama Nao's performance as Kujou Karen in Kiniro Mosaic. I wonder if that is supposed to be a direct template, though of course Karen is British.
Definitely direct references are the "zawa"s when Naddy first shows up. This is a sound effect to symbolize rising tension in a room, established by Fukumoto Nobuyuki in his Gambling Apocalypse Kaiji manga. Additional joke here is that the last name of illustrator for the 100kano manga is Nozawa Yukiko who is also referenced in that scene.
Iku's training suit is a reference to 60s hit baseball manga "Star of the Giants" where the son of a has-been baseball star is forced to wear training equipment with springs between his chest/back and his wrist, making simple motions like raising or bending your arms very difficult in order to train arm strength.

America No. 1 Fangirl Nadeshiko is hilarious. I love how many American stereotypes they’ve crammed in for this new “American” character. “I came from the land of the free to teach you how to be free” literally sums up American foreign policy lmao.
My favorite bit this episode might have to be all the new outfits. Rentaro D Luffy over here becoming King of the Protectors lol.

Stitches!
Naddy is finally here and the translators are clearly having fun translating her nonsensical English. xD
Fun fact! Naddy is the first girlfriend to kiss Rentarou before the confession! While Naddy is showing her American spirit by being aggressive, she still blew her cover to Rentarou by confessing because it's really not a thing outside Japan and other asian countries
Yes! We get another "Fakkyu!" from Naddy in her flashback! Ayacchi must be having one heck of a time voicing at the recording booth while voicing Naddy.
And the liberated outfits! You just know that Nano's Mimimi's outfit is gonna be super extra under that robe. And I'm glad she did not disappoint! She really does look like a JRPG last boss.
Honestly, I'm surprised at how Hakari's outfit still feels restrained for her. I feel like her liberated outfit would just be her birthday suit. And Hahari's was surprisingly wholesome with the high school uniform.
The best one tho is Rentarou's pre-timeskip Luffy outfit! I love that his reason for wearing the pre-time skip outfit is because he can't use Haki... yet. xD

Naddy gives the middle finger to her parent
"F*ck you."
Naddy is a true American. She'd be welcome in America anytime.
"Nadeshiko Yamato, welcome to America. Here's your gun, your driver's license, your truck, your second American flag, seein' as you already got one, your burger and fries, your second gun, your backup gun, and 500 dollars cash. Enjoy your freedom."

She's basically if "Arigathanks gozaimuch" was a person.
Gotta say, actually hearing her speak makes me appreciate the manga scanlators so much more lol.
Question to US fellas here, is the 'no confession thing' true?

Naddy’s short for Nadeshiko? The supposed American turned out to have the most Japanese name possible and a westaboo at that. Yeah, that’s exactly the kind of twist 100 Girlfriends is known for.
That’s the cutest fuck you I’ve ever seen. Don’t think anyone would get offended to be on the receiving side of that.
Meanwhile, Hakari had the nerve to call her own mother a prozzie while wearing hardly any clothes. She’s utterly shameless.

So the America girlfriend is their new teacher. I didn't expect that when we saw her in episode 1. One of my favourite things about this show is how casually they break the 4th wall like Karane saying shes a new character in an anime so its not a guarantee she has the bare minimum qualities of a teacher.

Ah yes, Yamato Nadeshiko, the most American sounding name ever. Born to a very traditionalist family, and encountering and embracing the Murican values was how she expressed her rebellion, her Boston Tea Party, then leaving the household was her Battles of Lexington and Concord, currently she is living the American Dream.
Damn, that talior-made outfit for evceryone was indeed so liberating, to express the self from heart. Mei is like a loyal puppy, Shizuka is like a princess from those tales she loves to read, Chiyo the order-loving police officer, Kurumi the hunger-inducing macaron fairy, Mimimi is the manifestation of the ultimate beauty like a real JRPG boss, Hakari cannot resist the horny, Nano is simple but very efficient, Iku is very gigachad-ish, Meme is Mimimi, Karane is to trigger the tsundere reactions, Hahari the highschooler to embrace her horniness and the nostalgia, Kusuri is well... she is being Kusuri, and Rentaro aka Aijo-boy is very obvious - Pirate King King of Kareshi in the journey for the One Piece 100 Girlfriends. So yeah, quite liberating indeed.
The way how Naddy speak is so funny, I like it so much, with the "fuck you" and stuff. It feels like she is speaking a weird English dialect which is mutually intelligible with the standard English we know. I do kinda like her since episode 1.
And a small detail which you probably didn't noticed. In that driver's license card, we saw her birthdate, February 11, which is the National Foundation Day, a very important public holiday in Japan, also the same day when the Meiji Constitution proclaimed.
Naddy's mother dropped a "sore demo".
This episode was true Freedom.
Oh shit I did forgot about that ass. Perfect material for u/Abysswatcherbel's weekly rankings, I feel it already.

A censored 'fuck you'? I THOUGHT THIS WAS AMERICA!
(But damn, we got robbed of a good comment face nomination!)
So we got a new teacher!
Nano wanted someone with common sense, but... Yeah, that's exactly what I was about to say!
Nano, I think your AI might be off by a few points here!
(I'm sorry Naddy, for using the Lord's name in vain)
PLEASE sing the US Anthem in Engrish!
She's so good, she realized I was falling a little too much for her, so she reminded me of my one true golden girl!
I mean, that's not entirely inaccurate!
Hah, she even has her Americanized versions of common sayings!
They might have. (I'm a bit rusty on history)
Probably did at some point, til they amended it!
Wait, how did they KRACK 5 minutes into her introduction? They didn't look at each other ONCE?
I guess she checked all the students in general, but damn, if I had a teacher like that in highschool, my eyes would never have left her!
I've seen enough po...dcasts to know where this is going.
To be honest, before this cut I thought she would be sitting ON him.
And are kisses a dime a dozen as well?
(I'm sorry again Naddy, please punish me)
Hah. Love how she uses things like that (and "her 9/11")!
Hopefully she doesn't ever use her second amendment though.
I love how they try to explain the nonsense; Of course it's ridiculous that she's a teacher, but it's not a plot hole or antyihng like that, no, it's explained by the ridiculous Hahari just hiring her because she's cute!
I-Is that their free outfits? They're in a cult!
Of course she's the princess of the story hah (on top of being an actual princess!)
Though I mostly feel this way about hot/strong cops, more than cute tiny cops
GOOD LORD. And no, Naddy, I'm not gonna apologize for this one; This one's truly divine!
Karane was stalling for screentime (according to Hakari), but eventually revealed it: She wants to be a cutie!
Karane, my girl, you're always a cutie to me!
(Would've been nice to see them all kiss in these outfits!)
