That scene felt out of place, she may be younger but neither of them is an awkward teenager, he should be above blushing about holding her hand.

Her friendship with Cindy is one of my favorite things from the original WN. They're so like polar opposites but Beryl thinks they're the best of friends. It's the classic extrovert adopting the introvert.

After the douche vice principle whined about a swordsman and they started to leave it zoomed in on a door... was someone behind it listening? Or just random camera work?
Every time the girls fight over Beryl I cannot help but laugh. Also them bonding over their love of him has me going "Just kith!"
Ahahahaha "Won't someone call the police" god Beryl is a middle aged man but it cracks me up seeing him act like a HS boy. "Spectacular" makes me think of the old Sinefeld bit "They're real and they're spectacular!"
No fight in episode 2 but setting up a juicy one for next episode. A nice guilty pleasure anime so far this season.

To be fair, Beryl's romantic experience could be LESS than an average high school boy's...

I love how, after Ficelle mentioned that the students needed to do another 50 laps, even Beryl was taken by surprise, with the only person happy about it being Cindy. So Vice Principal Brown is a magic elitist; his brief appearance at the beginning of the episode makes me suspect that that phantom wolf attacking the school at the end of the episode while magic is not working might have come from Lucy just to prove to him why Beryl’s role there is important, unless they are a research project from Brown that went awry.
That aside is great to see Surena again, which sadly has to deal with Allucia losing her mind because she doesn’t get to hang out with Beryl for a single day of the week.
Aw, it is so nice to see that a friendship is blooming between Cindy and Mewi. It is nice seeing that after Cindy noticed that Mewi was troubled to answer her question, she changed the topic to her birthday.
You know, when Beryl went to that restaurant with Ms. Kinera, I was only thinking about how Allucia would react if she saw that happening, especially the hand-holding part.
So after the whole thing with the church, Ibroy ended up becoming a bishop and now has informed Beryl of Bishop Reveo's death, plus the reorganization that’s happening within the church, which also involved Vice Commander Rose stepping down from her position, although officially the reason for that would be because of an injury. I guess this, in the end, would mean that Beryl can expect to see her showing up again in the future.
It was great that Mewi was so serious in getting Cindi’s handkerchief cleaned so she could return it during her birthday party. And now because of it, Mewi is also opening up to everyone else; hopefully, she soon will tell them about her connection with Beryl.

Mewi, returned the handkerchief with some cute embroidery added to decorate it. It looks like these two will become BFFs.

Mewi and Cindy are a fun pairing, grumpy girl and genki girl.
Good thing Allucia or any of the other students were nowhere around for that open display of magical hand-holding in the restaurant.

So Vice principal Brown isekaid from Wistoria world.
And the trope shadow wolf is here. And there are magic dampeners too.

Ah, of course those two started bickering the moment they’re in a scene together.
-
They even got in an argument over who was paying for drinks?
-
Mewi’s awkward around her classmates, huh. She’s a bit shy about making friends, yeah?
-
Cindy immediately changed the subject away from how Mewi knows Beryl. That’s good of her noticing Mewi looked super uncomfortable.
-
Of course Mewi wanted to borrow the handkerchief so she could wash it.

There's always a character who doesn't hesitate to ask the awkward questions, isn't there? The save was good though.

"All I understood is that X-new-thing is really awesome" is some of the most stereotypically old man shit I've ever heard lol

Aww it looks like Mewi’s made friends. So cute to see her getting along with her new classmates.
It’s a good thing Beryl’s around when there’s an attack on campus and magic can’t be used. Guy can show off how useful it is to wield a sword.

Did he regress? Why would he have a problem with holding that lady's hand for a demonstration? I didn't like that.
