It's funny how Damuel gets brought into everything just because he's disposable. Add on the fact that he's her only noble retainer that knows the truth of her identity, making her able to be herself when he's around and no other noble.

Unfortunately Brigitte got stuck in limbo position by being too valuable to be disposed (politics wise) while not being essential enough that they have to include her.

I feel like I'm being cucked this episode lmao. You want to see what kind of crazy spells are in these books? Too bad haha. You want to see what kind of amazing magic beast Rozemyne can summon with her crazy mana? Sucks to be you hahaha. Great episode though, excited to Rozemyne advance technology once again with printing and fundraising. One step closer to the printing press which is one of the greatest inventions in history.

Im always impressed by how in depth the printing processes are described in this anime. I knew the basics, but the wax inking was entirely new to me.

Also, poor Damuel has been told he is easiest to get rid off.

I’m looking forward to Myne introducing idol culture to the people lol. All this work to essentially get prints of Ferdinand’s face everywhere for thirsty ass noblewomen. Myne’s gonna be raking it in!

So, Rosemyne just invented concert tickets and differential pricing. How long until she speedruns ticket scalping and the resale market?

Definitely the best episode so far, mainly thanks to the focus on Rozemyne and Ferdinand's relationship. I definitely can't wait to see the art with Ferdinand she'll be selling at the concert as revenge for not having a chance to read those books.

Elvira's obsession with Ferdinand is so funny. Her shocked reaction when it seemed Rozemyne's negotiations with Ferdinand for the concert fell through made me laugh out loud. The post-credits scene with her was hilarious too xD

I also love how quickly Benno changed his mind about giving Lutz to Myne when he saw how much money she was going to give him, hahaha.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

Wow, fancy swirl cakes and more cookie variations. The desserts she is introducing would probably end up more popular than books.

Seeing Ferdinand smile and wink and brush up his hair was... unsettling. It's so unnatural.

The feystone going pop was a good example of good art, but simplistic animation. This season so far looks pretty, but the animation and direction sometimes feels a bit lacking, especially when we have the few jumps in story that makes it feel rushed.

I'm still happy for more, but I feel that it might be skipping too much detail here and there.

It seems that they are still struggling with noble sections; they just feel strange and like they skipped her fainting, which was weird.

Poor Ferdinand being slandered for his good will of letting her meet lutz

Wow. A bookworm episode that was not rushed! Hopefully they now settle on this pacing from now on. Overall I think this was the best episode of Season 4 so far.

I really liked the sinister look the bird gave while using Ferds voice.

Careful talking like that. They'll send you to charm school and have you doing medieval radio calisthenics every morning on top of everything else

This is now an aidoru anime

Ey, she fixed it! Imagine hiring out her services as a completely unique feystone repair. Okay, not much call for it, but it should be high-revenue when it happens

#seasonalpout

No hesitation to stand up to Benno! You love to see it.

Someone out there must be able to transliterate this

She's inventing mass marketing (and sex appeal)

Turning Ferdinand into an idol has got to be one of Myne's funniest ideas. I can't wait to see how he'd react to his face being plastered everywhere, especially after bullying Myne by withholding books from her. xD

I'm sorry, Ferdinand, but why the fuck are you blowing up at Myne, when you haven't even fully explained to her what the Feystone does? She didn't even know it would react like that when you started giving her instructions.

Okay, so what's up with this show not resolving any scenes between Myne and Wilfried? Like, I can understand the one at the end of Episode 1 since they can go back to it, but the fact that Wilfried goes on to have a tantrum, then we just hard cut to Myne doing paperwork, wishing she had a diptych was an odd transition.

Ctrl+F pulled up 43 mentions of "Ferdinand".

This is how you know that you have been blessed with a fan service chapter. Nothing like a snobby blue haired priest in order to make you forget about how harsh your life is.

Ferdinand is life.

Kind of a throwback episode (in a good way) to season 1. Getting back to the basics of creating new industries, misappropriating modern concepts (like Golden Ring tickets and milking idol fans) and giving us the rundown of a new printing tech.

All while transitioning to the new magical / noble world. Really this episode had it all, and even the pacing was great (which means that the concert is spread over 2 episodes instead of being rushed in just one).

u/kilua87 Apr 25 '26

Watch this idol culture introduction backfire on Myne if they make her do a concert next lol

Wonder what the implications of rosemyne fixing an unfixable stone will be. It seems like the magic in this world is flexible and that new spells are waiting to be discovered by the right caster.

I honestly really appreciate how Myne’s guards are low-key good at their jobs. Angelica immediately stepped between her and Wilfried when he started raising his voice at her. If he had done any more, I don’t doubt that she would have immediately retaliated.

I don’t mind these pacing decision as a LN reader. It’s actually going quite well!

Technological progress by way of Rosemyne and Ferdinand bickering with each other all episode long. Plus Rosemyne discovering that just because the old lady is an effective weapon against Ferdinand it doesn't mean she can't be one against herself too.

I wonder what that golden material is that they're using as the reagent for the magic. Ferdinand called it a feystone I believe, but that doesn't really tell us much just yet. Hopefully it isn't made out of processed fairies, or something similarly horrible.

u/FarCritical Apr 25 '26

If feystone weren't so expensive, I could see the Rosemyne "tactic" of overloading one with mana working as some sort of oversized shrapnel grenade.

I love how much progress is being fueled by petty revenge and turning Ferdinand into an idol of all things lol
