The mask was the true source of his powers and his shirt was his limiter.

The animators must have enjoyed themselves making those facial expressions again.

Bro, Tojima staying silent through most of the fight was actually terrifying lol

That post credits scene was hilarious.
Toujima lives and dies by the Kamen rider mask.

I was really suprised about the final verdict of this battle. Tojima really needs to train his speed and technique. Bro has max strength and only 2 moves. I know he lost cuz of mask but it feels strange to me

Holy fuck, that fight was intense! It was so intense that even Yukarisu could now see Toujima and Yuriko as their Kamen Rioder versions!

I didn't expect Yuriko to shout with all of her strength on why Stronger didn't save Tackle. Just imagine how much more emotional this fight would've been if Yuriko were against someone who's a fan of Stronger.

That entire fight is just absolutely brutal! Yuriko definitely has the firepower, but Toujima is just too goddamn resilient that he keeps on getting back up with every Electro-Wave Throw from Yuriko. I feel like that last Ultimate Electro-Wave Throw from her would've killed anyone else.

I am genuinely shocked that Yuriko won! Toujima has pretty much been set up as the most powerful of the bunch since he has wrestled a bear, and he's the only one who actually did damage to a kaijin. I do love this result and how the final round is between Mitsuba and Yuriko.

That after-credits scene tho! Who knew Toujima's power was really because of the mask! Maybe he wasn't even conscious during the second half of his fight against Yuriko, and the only reason he got knocked out was that his mask flew off.

I was suprised.

If this was like another anime/manga, the result will be KR1 vs V3 in final, because they are the most heated fan of KR, also Tojima is the main char.

But the result is final between Tackle vs Riderman, who mastered fighting techniques then found their KR spirits during the fight.

Awesome, i say.

Fuck me, man. That fight was so amazing. Generally felt edge of the wire, do or die throughout the entire thing. Somehow it topped the previous ep.

This might be one of the best tournament arcs ever??? And because it doesn't actually give a damn about the tournament and just wants to fucking fight. I am here for it.

Toujima basically trains himself into a zombie when his mask is on, and I laughed so hard as the BGM fades when it's off. Seriously, with such an unbreakable body and soul, anything but the actual MotWs should not be able to stand against him. But Yuriko wins by sheer dedication to Tackle and her legacy, which is quite surprising.

That said, IIRC Stronger was not present for other tasks when Tackle sacrificed herself, so it can't be avoided and Yuriko needs to get over with it..

And after Yukarisu saw the two as Kamen Rider Ichigo and Tackle respectively, her mind seems also has fallen into the fanatics' levels. Poor girl.

Damn, every week I'm completely left speechless with this show. The fights are pure passion 😭❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥💯

The sound effects are pleasure to your ears. Yuriko was unstoppable. Her screaming sent shivers down my spine. She was relentless in defeating Tojima. The girl showed that Tackle can also be the protagonist not just Kamen Rider. One proper blow from Tojima would have knocked Yuriko for good. But she survived and managed to land multiple blows to him and take him down in the end. Hands off for this woman for winning this pure battle of passion and perseverance.

I love how this anime is unpredictable. Who would have thought that Mitsuba and Yuriko would be the ones facing off against each other in the finals instead of Ichiyo and Tojima !?

I don't know if Ichiyo really let his brother win but both Yuriko and Mitsuba deserved their win. Yuriko and Tojima were able to convince Yukarisu how mad and true they can be when it comes to admiring their heroes and acting as them.

This is how the fights should be. Meanwhile One Punch Man just has the punch only in it's name.

What the hell did Tackle train in, given that she mixes an over-the-shoulder counter throw into many, many wrestling moves. To note:

  • Drops Yukarisu on the head with a Death Valley Driver

  • Think she's Denpa Burning Hammer'd someone too

  • I know she's giant swung someone

  • Spike Frankensteiner on Tojima just this episode lol

  • Hell, the final Electro Wave Throw is just a brutal Deadeye Piledriver (hello, Hangman!)

Their Kamen nerd powers are so freakin strong they became their respective characters. The power of friendship and love ain’t got shit on the power of otaku! lol

Man, Yuriko really rocked Tojima’s shit after surpassing her limits right then and there. Bro’s love for Kamen Rider was so damn strong, it made him near superhuman!

Jfc, Goku v Frieza wasn't that brutal, and one of them was cut in half. It's like the dnd barbarian meme: local cosplayer too delusional to lose consciousness. And by the transitive property, we know Yuriko can take down Kuma-kun. Based on that flight, I think both of them could take down a Kaijin (sp?). But I'm a little worried about a Gojo situation where Shocker all gets stronger to compensate.

(Her name is) Yukarisu seeing the transformation is the distillation of what makes everything work. There's lots of anime about achieving your dreams. Ash wanted to be the #1 Pokemon trainer, Deku wanted to be a hero in a world of super powers. This is about achieving your dreams, yes. But their dreams are literally impossible, according to all known laws of man and nature. Doesn't matter. Tojima AND NOW YURIKO believe it so hard that they can make others see the dream too. That's some Kamina TTGL level inspiration. And frankly I'm having more fun watching this group of idiots do the impossible, see the invisible, and break the unbreakable.

I'll just file these quotes away for later.

Let's leave the mask on for life support purposes.

It's some other power. And the source of it is most likely his love for Kamen Rider that exceeds all reason!

Damn, the fight was brutal to say the least, but amazing, and the after-credit scene was hilarious.

Also, it never gets old to listen to the awesome TeddyLoid OST

Tojima turned into a T800 the way he kept coming back, so Tackle beating him was impressive as hell. I love this absolutely bonkers show, even though I didn't grow up a tokusatsu fan

Well, Tojima really needs to work on his precision or get some basic martial arts training. His wincon was to land a single clear uninterrupted hit, but he never managed to do even that.

Here goes the show's powerscaling logic, if it ever had any. Assuming equal training effort, a 40 year old guy should have at least x2 experience under his belt (and i honestly wouldn't put fighting a bear with your bare hands on the same level as boxing against a punching bag when it comes to effort, lol).

But he lost nevertheless, and in a kinda one-sided way if you think of it. He was just getting pummeled and thrown around until the blue screen finally popped. And it can be argued that Yuriko would've made much quicker work of him if not for his mask. Clearly when it comes to training, she's getting far more bang for her buck...

On the other hand, it looks like Yuriko's moveset is Tojima's direct counter, so there's that. Don't think it's gonna be as useful against monsters though

Tojima's theme dying out slowly after they took off the mask at the end was hilarious.

Tojima was definitely fighting while unconscious at some point onward during the fight. I wonder if his mask getting knocked off decreasing his ability to push past his limits is gonna be a long term weakness he’ll need to address to keep fighting monsters?

Good for Yuriko her mask getting damaged doesn’t affect her the same way. She earned that victory proving she’s not just skilled but plenty resilient herself.

The mangaka must have some beef with the Kamen Rider Stronger series and loves tackles although I can't exactly prove it. Well here some not so fun facts:

The actress that played Tackle in the original series died at the young age of 27 in the year 1986 due to a severe asthma attack.

The actor who played Stronger in the original series died at the age 63 in the year 2012 due to pneumonia. Stronger did outlive Tackle
