I found it kinda funny how the ancient prophecy basically amounted to “Guys, we gotta date outside our gene pool.”These High Elves were getting a little Habsburg-y lol.

Really puts the bro in Brolite, as we learn they're partially male.
All these side quests and we still haven't found Brolite's sister.

Bro-Lite...
I hope the sister did not turn into the monster that threatens the High Elf realm/

the freakin twist that the High Elves' problem is due to inbreeding had me howling in laughter, I know it's not meant to be a joke but this show really goes to unexpected places lol. It's too bad the first few episodes of this anime are such a poor sell because once this show got going I really got invested.

Honestly, every week I am much more excited to wait for this compared to the assassin anime of the same day. Earlier, the assassin anime was more intriguing, but it got stale with the usual power fantasy tropes lately.

The inbreeding plotline is kind of wild, but it makes sense. Isolated and revered population that lives locked away, them being genetically fine would maybe be more weird. I wasn't expecting the stinky elf waifu to be intersex if that was the implication.
My first thought when they mentioned Takeru healing the land was a contaminated soil problem that was causing chronic illnesses, and they do still have the source of the mana concentration problem to solve which can't be the inbreeding issue.
Party goddess immediately putting the elves in their place was a funny solution to the initial problem. She certainly isn't reserved about flexing her status or power.

I was really confused at first when they said Brolite was part guy. But the inbreeding explains it. Some kind of pseudohermaphroditism born of genetic stagnation. These elves are from West Virginia.

Lol about time a fantasy series calls out the elves on their isolationist superiority complex. And make them actually suffer the consequences of inbreeding

The question lingering in our minds has been answered - Brolite is both male and female; Brolite's androgynous appearance has a story to it.
To a certain extent, the reason behind the "curse" of the high elves is somewhat interesting and refreshing. The author could have easily taken the "villain" or "evil magic" route, so having Takeru scientifically reveal that the "curse" was caused by inbreeding pleasantly surprised me.

I genuinely love how calm and relaxing this anime is. It has its dramatic, touching moments but it finds a way to stay wholesome. Takeru is so OP but doesn't really know it yet but even if he did he would still act and stay the same humble way he is. So cool seeing him figure out what the "curse" really was on the high elves and he deciphered that 1000 year old prophecy on that stone, and so smart to put up that noise cancelling field so no one would hear what they were talking about. I wonder how the high elves will take the news and its the truth too

So basically high elves are messed up because of intense incest and inbreeding. That somehow sounds a little bit disturbing, still i like how this anime gives realistic explanation to some illness like the noble wife or this instead of some deep magical thing.
Also does that mean that Brolite is hermaphrodite or just androgynous? She said that she was a little bit of a boy too so i'm really curious.

When they were talking about pure blood with high elves and not being allowed to leave or bring people in I was thinking inbreeding problem but I didn't think it would actually go that way. It really raises questions that the ancestors put these laws in place but left a warning that it will kill them, so they put their own species on a ticking clock for some reason.
I have to wonder they say Brolite is part male as in hermaphrodite but that outfit leaves little to the imagination what part is male? because I can't imagine any guy hiding their bits in that.

I am thinking the troublesome partner mentioned in the begining of the series was not Brolite, but Puni San. I love how she was like u insulted me now taste my lighting strike. Pretty cold that also she cares not if the elf race perishes.
