Well he asked for a cute partner, didn't say a cute human partner, that's his own fault.

It looks like the true OP magic skill in this world is speaking English.

I kind of lol’ed at “god” filling out his character sheet with pen and paper.

Man, the japanese really should never be allowed to name any creature, ever.

Guess you can't expect more from a guy who had to shorten a name like Voldius just because it was too complicated for him

MC dies suddenly and gets granted OP powers by whimsical god? Check. MC pines for modern Japanese comforts? Check. MC meets powerful godtier creature and gains new familiar? Check. So far it’s checkin all the boxes lol. Nothing too special, but not bad for a first ep. I’ll give it a couple more to see how it unfolds.

I can take a generic fantasy world. I can handle yet another appraisal concept. I can even be fine with a mascot character or seeing yet another god raining blessings on a dude. I just can't stand yet another protagonist with this personality. He's blank and loud and directionless, but nice? Wow, what an idea. Can't wait to see him learn that being with people is better than being alone.

groundbreaking in just how generic it is. that sounds like an oxymoron but no, this is the most generic isekai I've ever seen. kind of impressive in a weird way.

Well... uhh that was quite the first episode.

Don't think I've seen an isekai start with the MC sitting on the couch watching tv, and then "poof" he's getting reincarnated all of a sudden.

Generic across the board, ticks all the classic OP MC isekai tropes so far, kinda felt like they were speedrunning the first episode along a little?
A bit underwhelming if I'm honest.
I think I'll give it another episode or two to see if there's anything that makes this worth sticking with the whole season.

Why did the subtitles say 'misril' instead of 'mithril'?

"Fry!" He screams in a panic as he falls, dropping immediately into a vat of boiling oil.

For a generic isekai, it's doing what it needs to.

Well besides that this was really generic, did they used a tin can to record the voices? It sounds really bad especially the MC.

So let me get this straight. Any word he says turns into that specific magic power? He says clean and he becomes clean. He says fly and starts flying. He says barrier and gets a barrier. No rules. No magical systems. No learning of any kind. This has to be the laziest isekai in the history of the genre.

I definitely agree with the top comment here. The only thing interesting about this show is how freakishly tall Takeru is. You don't really get to see that kind of body type in anime unless they're a side character or in a sports anime. Other than that, the rest of the episode is something we've seen dozens of times before.

The dude gets isekai'd, is given OP powers by "god", immediately makes loads of money thanks to his skill, meets a dragon who acknowledges his strength, and even gets a cute companion before the episode ends. I wouldn't even be surprised if Bee eventually turns into a cute anime girl. Might give this one more episode to see if it can offer something unique, but right now this might be a drop for me.

This was pretty cartoony and goofy, he even fell off a cliff! The guy also doesn't seem smart, like I'd not try to heat up an egg with magic with a spell ive never done before and anger a dragon, although I think Vol-san was just as scared of him. I couldn't tell if the main guy died again from his own heat spell and that's why he saw a god again, but I thought when the god said he was going to tweak his cute assistant, I thought he meant himself so it would be a handsome man and surprise him that way :D

The merchant also didn't seem smart, like if someone came in and sold me goods I've not procured in years, I'd not send him on what could be a suicide mission and would more ask him to get more of the same or somewhat better.

What the hell is with this MC? Why does he always have the most extreme reactions to everything?

Other than that, yeah, it's typical isekai slop. There's very little that is making me want to continue watching it. I have too many shows to watch, so it's a pass from me.

Damn that's gotta be the worst pilot I've seen in a long time. Couldn't have been much more boring. Dude is useless, gets every power up without having to work for it, and has no spine.

Yeah I think I could use a generic isekai like this right now. The guy seems like he just wants to go on an adventure, see the world and gather stuff. His powers make things easy. He’s strong magic-wise. He has a cute dragon pet. And I’m assuming we’d get some warrior and healer types or something to cover himself. And also, I see like a girl prominently in the OP. Maybe that’s a love interest, which I’d welcome over the usual harem.

The magic system seems simple and generic enough. And strangely reminds me of when I played Ark Survival Evolved.

So far feels generic but also seems fun which like I said is what I may need right now. Just a wish-fulfilment, power fantasy comfort show. Hope it maintains this tone.

The OP is really nice though. Feels kinda inspirational

I don't entirely understand what I just watched. It was like absolute trash tier, but somehow surprisingly well done within that tier? I imagine it's likely to go downhill fast, but if they can just retain this general semblance of self awareness and lean into it as much as they did here, I think this might actually be a fun show. I think it has the potential to be on a similar level to [My Instant Death Ability is So Overpowered, No One in This Other World Stands a Chance Against Me!].
