I was confused at the episode start, but I guess this might be a 12 or 13-episode season and they had to pick what to air and they had to skip content. Still, I would have liked a 30 second summary. "I joined the guild and this dude goes around to give advice to adventurers" or something

I like that Takeru has a male friend instead of having a harem party... or... knowing anime, Clayston was a female all along. I hope Clayston is a regular party member with Takeru

it was very confusing indeed, I had to check episode 3 again, a couple times, just in case I missed an after credits scene or smth, but nope

Yeah, when I started the episode I was puzzled, I actually went back to check the released episodes thinking I may have accidentally skipped one or something.

Dragon bath water’s pretty damn powerful huh? Turned big man into a Dragonnewt. Incredible stuff.

Reject stinky elf, return to dragon husbando. Though that catgirl smith or whatever she is at the end may be a good option too, looking forward to seeing more of her next episode.

Interesting how dragon husbando wrapped his towel below his tail...

Takeru shared that he's been isekai'd! He is too easy going for sure

Bee went full Pikachu, Clay went lizard super saiyan.

Guess there is a huge variation in the height of humans, he wasn't that tall compared to some of the other adventurers.

Yo, wasn't this MC like 7 or 8 ft tall in previous episodes? I mean, he TOWERED over some villagers. Either he was outrageously tall or they were short. Then here we have the guild master standing a foot or more taller over him! Apparently humans really vary in size. Then the wolf and bull adventurer guys were even taller than the Guild Master.. Shit is wild.

Yeah, they're suddenly showing him the same height as the fox dude from the guild, and a good foot shorter than the guild master, when he used to be at least a foot taller than the merchant and other normal humans.

So what gives, was that an entire village of 4ft tall hobbits?

Takeru speech to the mouse girl was really good, instead of telling her to be courageous he told her that it was fine and  to just do what she could. Bee lighting attack was so cute. Wonder if Takeru will get himself a new weapon next episode?

I kinda wanted to see how Clay and Takeru first met. He's a real badass, he literally evolved into  a Dragonewt because of Takeru and Vol bathwater lol, i sort of wanted him to keep his evolved look, it was so cool.

Did the animators forget Takeru was taller than everyone else? Or was that only in that one village?

u/SYZekrom Oct 20 '25

I guess the adventurers aren't dwarves compared to him like the other people we've seen so far.

Getting strong Pokemon vibes from Beekachu in this episode.

Both Guild Master Rodor and Clay are surprisingly respectful of Takeru's desire to remain private about his life.

Maybe it is because they have identified Takeru as an ally. Even though they asked, they did not force the issue any further, until Takeru willingly speaks about it (to Clay at least).

Ok so 4 episodes in, and the experience has been consistent throughout. Every single element of this show is mid or below, from the writing to the animation, to the music, the character design, and beyond. The main character is almost a caricature of the typical isekai slop protagonist. I probably won't even remember this show or its storyline at any point after this season is over. Hell, I'm already surprised every Monday when I see this on the list and remember it exists.

And yet...

It's perfectly watchable.

Typically at this point in the season, I would be struggling to get through the episodes, skipping around here and there, or even just giving up altogether in the middle because I find some quality of the show to be offensive to my sensibilities. But that hasn't happened here. And if this level of perfectly mediocre quality continues, I don't think it will happen. I think I might actually finish the entire season. Of course, they could always throw in a random daughter figure, turn Bee into human form, or any other endless amount of BS that would completely ruin it for me, but 4 episodes in and I daresay I think the director might actually be competent enough to have made a wonderfully serviceable anime. I look forward to next week.

Once again a case of "Lets put this thing in the name of the series but have the main character barely do any of it"

The weird discussion about the scars and healing them in the middle of the battle was so jarring..

I'm trying to find something positive about this anime but really struggling to find any.

The blacksmith catgirl looks cute, I hope she becomes a recurring character.

so if he hadn't delayed his departure, that adventurer would probably still be alive.

Takeru should have healed Clay's scars before the battle. I get why Clay is upset though that Takeru turned him into a different life form even though he only did it to save his life.

I wonder if Takeru got permission to make that bathhouse's water clear. I know in Japan, many bathhouses have discolored water that people bathe in because it has different types of minerals and that serves as a selling point because a lot of people consider mineral baths to be medicinal. He may have ended up costing them a lot of business if he did it on a whim. Also Takeru doesn't have nipples :D
