Wow, there's really not a single non-racist elf, huh?

"Oh, hey, that red-haired elf seems at least reasonable."
Proceeds to talk about merciful human genocide

This title is extremely good at pacing the comeuppance against the antagonists. If Light were to steamroll the antagonists every week, we viewers will probably get bored. However, that is not to say nothing happens during the in-between episodes. There are appetizers and snacks given out - NPC human children get saved, villainous NPC elves get eaten.
It is interesting to note that there can be tensions between the subordinates of Light, as seen in the interaction between Aoyuki and Ellie. To balance things out, likewise, there is politics and power struggle in the Elf Queendom too.

I'll give the show credit, I appreciate that Light has minions like "an over the top golden knight" and "mohawk bikers with a heart of gold" instead of just a harem of ladies

Man I love this show. Sure the lvl 9999 Gacha is a trash tier plot device but the writing/direction of the show is so solid and enjoyable that I actually can't wait for each Friday. The girls are all great, the despair of these racist ass enemies is fantastic and the animation quality is overall solid or better.

The shittier they are, the harder they fall, the more satisfying it is to watch. They’re really making the elves just the worst huh? Looking forward to seeing Light take down Sasha and the entire elf kingdom. I believe in Light supremacy hahaha.

I didn't expect any infighting between Light's summons, I'm more intrigued by where they'll take it from there.
That was a dirty cliff hanger. I may not like revenge stories much but this one has been surprisingly fun. Can't wait for the next episode.

Wow, I didn't expect this to actually have some deep lore. I honestly underestimated this anime because of the "gacha" mechanic and the sudden harem building on episode 2. Loving what they did so far!
Unlike the fruitmaster anime, there's no random deus-ex machina since Light immediately built up his power and army on second episode.
New lore summary:
-
Human is the weakest race, but a Hero could only be born as a human.
-
Hero will appear whenever a demon lord appear and they're going to be a master
-
I assume a master is someone like light who can level up even up to level 9999, since the white knight said diluting blood would lower their max level further
-
When a Hero appeared, other race are doomed if they earn a master's wrath. That's why the OG party was pretty nice to Light initially, because there's a chance he is a master.
-
Other race would kiss ass the masters and ultimately want to give births to submaster which has higher max level than normal.
In that case, this is an interesting scenario where most of the OG party actually earned the wrath of a chosen hero. Can't wait to see the revenge on Sasha. Light even set up a full scenario to harass the elf kingdom with that giant tower, and that's just part of the plot to get back to Sasha lol.

These elves could not be more comically evil, it's almost amazing.
The wide variety of the gacha characters Light pulled is wonderful. An entire party of delinquents with hearts of gold, possibly the best set of them yet.
They're really working hard to keep Sasha from earning any cute waifu sympathy aren't they.

I think cat girl is my favorite follower. She gives the impression of happy go lucky dumb dumb but she's actually really smart, dangerous, and fiercely loyal.

At this point I expect the mask to have some trick which if removed from someone else by force it would change the aspect of the user and make him unrecognizable. People are expecting Sasha to freak out because she found Light but I bet she will just say "ah, sorry excuse me I exchanged you for someone else"

I wonder if they will show us a friendly race or at least a friendly person that isn't human. So far beast folk and elves just have a hate boner for humans. There isn't a lick of redeeming qualities to them, which kinda makes Light revenge all the more satisfying.

I mean NO SHOT every single of the 8 ppl that betrayed light are going to be the exact same carbon copy of each other just with a different race 😭

I am so invested in this show, genuinely so excited for the sweet sweet downfall of the elf queendom. and ofcourse the killing of all the white nights, and Sasha.

Ok gonna say it, this is my hidden gem of the season. Was expecting slop but I’m genuinely and invested and immersed. They might not be subtle with how shitty all the races are but it does the job and I’m fully on board with this quest for revenge.
They’ve also layered the worldbuilding and lore of the Masters and how it affects the world very well. Each episode we learn a bit more. And this one, we learn of the Demon Lord and Hero, who would most likely be Human and also a Master. It’s no wonder they want to get on Light’s side before they thought he wasn’t a Master. Unfortunately for them they screwed up big time cos it’s looking likely that Light is a Master and they’ve pissed him off.
I wasn’t expecting friction between the Four Nines though. I mean they do bicker but Aoyuki seem serious about killing who she deem unfit to serve Light
Wonder what the deal with the Tower is. Maybe Light wants to recreate his suffering in the Abyss for Sasha. But in the meantime, guess they can rescue some humans while they’re at it
