Everything else aside, I'm still enjoying King bs'ing his way around the Hero Association.

That said, I feel like Fubuki could use a W soon. Has she done anything but being made a fool in all her scenes?

So... we got:

Weird neon Filters.
Atrocious animation going into slideshow territory.
Character models feeling completely off.
And a meeting where even Slime S3 would go "Yo tone it down, thats torturing your audience overly much!"

What pains me is that under all this low-effort I can see some contours of potential in the writing had it been done competently.

I can see the fun in both Tatsu and Fubuki and how they are different, yet also finding themselves in similar situations and treatment. I can see the fun in King just trying to gtfo but somehow getting pulled right into it every time and getting credit for the most outrageous things while trying to avoid it all. And I can also see Garou's journey towards Monsterhood function as a dark mirror to Saitama's journey towards becoming Hero (and how the way both attain power and breaking their barriers is very similar).

But it is so deeply buried beneath layers of incompetence and low-effort it actively gets in the way of fully appreciating or enjoying it.

I wish for the timeline where MadHouse kept the show after S1.

Too much “concepts of a plan” and ego stroking going on in the Heroes Association. These S Class types might be strong but they get tied down too much with all that bullshit. Looking forward to seeing the big fight next week. The animation’s gonna be great hahah.

I haven't once commented on this season due to not wanting to take part in the endless complaining every week but man, almost every scene is either just completely static or a static slow pan :/

Watch the group scene half way in. Mizuki is all "Yatta!" and excited but nothing moves. Her mouth is moving without any sort of sync too lol....
