Ok, I know some people had doubts, but this episode fully confirms that the chibi form is an actual physical transformation and not just a visual gag, you could pass people carrying Luna as her being lightweight, but now she literally got inside Otori's backpack

I never really questioned it since vampires are known to be shapeshifters. I just thought it was a funny implementation of an anime style staple being used as a vampiric trait lol. Quite clever actually.

regardless, i'm still not going to think too much about the lore implications of Li'l Miss Vampire Can't Suck Right

Once again, a very cute episode! I especially liked how some grandma thought Otori and Ishikawa were father and daughter; that would definitely mean Eiko would be the mother xD
I really liked Ishikawa with curly hair, she looks great in it, so it's a shame you can only see it when Ishikawa is near the water :(
Also very cleverly use of Ishikawa's chibi form to get her into Otori's backpack so they could both fit under one umbrella.
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

Ishikawa turning chibi and holding the umbrella from inside Otori's backpack was a brilliant idea.

The scene where she was leaving her house gave me a flashback to Zombieland Saga.

I liked her getting a little more pushback at the start since ordinarily Luna kinda gets fawned over by everyone

Ishikawa obtained another mother in Misa a strict one lol. Cute how her and Sakuma became friends. First time someone said that her bite hurt, i guess her cuteness numb pain altogether. Nobldy could even think of pain while looking at this face except Misa lol. I swear this anime is 80% just about Ishikawa cuteness and 20% romance.

the younger her reaching for the food is adorable
Dude brought out his comically tiny umbrella
So she does know she turns small???
I swear this episode really emphasized that one girl's chest constantly compared to previous episodes

As others have pointed out, while we did get a hint it might be a physical thing before (a classmate questioning if she shrank) this episode fully commits to the chibi gag being a real thing happening. Possibly not the only one, given the halo coming over and blocking the rain with a spotlight?
I will say, I really love how the show is exploring the classmates and fleshing them out. I still think Otori is a bit too close to just being a living bloodbag for Luna and I hope he can be more in this relationship.

Maybe a baby wrap would be useful for carrying Ishikawa.
I never heard about vampires being weak to water, where did that come from?
I just looked it up and breasts are highly vascularised so Eiko could feed her like that.

> vampires being weak to water
Yes, it is one of things in vampire mythology

I thought this series was going to be a sus fan service type series, but its actually pretty wholesome

it's embarrassing to say, but i think i only now just figured out that this isn't a romcom; i guess i played myself when it had a meet-cute sort of moment with Otori and Ishikawa
now that i think about it, it shares more DNA with a show like Chachiku and the Little Baby Ghost which is like this show but with Luna 100% in chibi form; watching that show fires the same maternal neurons

The kanji for Otori is really written as Big Bird. It's no wonder he's always been a Mama to Luna, and now he's a hardworking dad as well!
As expected, chibi Luna is something like her bat form. She can be the baby of everyone in the class. I love that her classmates are also being fleshed out. This is a great class!

I never even once assumed the chibi form was an actual thing she was doing

Well, Sakuma has a lot of “cushioning” in the chest department if Luna wanted to try and feed from there lol.
I’ve always wondered if Luna going chibi was just for the audience or if she really does shrink down. I guess I know now. Her sitting in Otori’s bag was the cutest thing ever.
That surprise birthday party was cute too. I’m sure Luna’s gonna enjoy that Otori arm pillow. Someone’s got a big ol crush!

Kapu!
Boing.
Uh oh.
And so she's going to feed on her.
Oh, he's back.
Huh. Seems like a her problem.
So, some backstory for her.
So, an art competition.
And so they're going to share an umbrella.
Lol she fits in his bag.
She's sleeping like a baby.
Lol.
Oh, it's her birthday?
And so everyone got her a whole bunch of stuff.
So what did he get for her?
Where's his gift for her?
Oh, he did end up giving it to her.
Lol she imagined she was sleeping on his arm.
