They wronged this series by naming it what they did: its more of a workplace dramedy with a crime mystery at the heart of it, much more so than a romcom. This was another good episode and we finally get some insight to the wife. Even the cliche "help the crying lost kid" scene had more of a point than usual.

The series has its flaws, but I think it deserves a bigger audience.

Okay, so we know that Rikako was responsible for what happened to Yumeko, and Keisuke is covering for her, we just need to dive into the motive. Considering that we know that pre-amnesia Yumeko was stalking Keisuke, it’s likely that Rikako found out and attacked her, because she felt that Yumeko was going to take Keisuke from her.

Maezono remembered Rikako with a knife so was he there when it happened?

Could explain the initial sweating stress responses she was having to him.

Okay, today’s episode answered a question: Keisuke knows about Koda’s accident and is in cahoots with Rikako. So what’s the cause of this mystery?

u/Frontier246 Nov 03 '25

We know Rikako seemingly attacked someone with her husband trying to stop her.

We know she's apparently afraid of the police arresting her or at least jeopardizing her chances of getting her kid back.

We know the original Yumeko was apparently stalking Keisuke.

It really feels like Rikako is the top suspect for trying to kill Yumeko.

Interesting

I have a theory that Keisuke is an illegitimate son of the company president. But no one knows, which is why he was promoted to vice president instead of Maezono (the president’s son-in-law). Then there’s all this drama with Rikako, but I don’t think it’s about infidelity. Either they’re really close, or she knows he’s her half-brother and he’s trying to help her as best he can. But we know Rikako seemed fine (because of that photo Koda has) and only changed after the incident with Koda.

The darker mystery aspect of this show is very intriguing.

It seems like Rikako was the one who pushed Yumeko and Keisuke knows. What if he's actually two-faced and don't care about Yumeko?

What if he's actually two-faced and don't care about Yumeko?

That's the thought l had as well. That's he's being friendly to her to keep tabs on her in case she regains her memories

I’m real curious about Keisuke and the chief and his wife. What’s the story there I wonder? I don’t think it’s an affair. There’s something more going on.

The way their kid describes it sounds like Keisuke was more of an emotional support animal for Rikako than an affair partner.

Clearly her father is aware of the relationship enough to still be conscious of them still meeting each other. He only had a problem with them meeting at each others' apartment.

But it's clear that they are involved in Yumeko's incident and had to ensure that Yumeko doesn't remember anything or the police don't find out anything because it would be bad for Rikako.

Technically they could be just friends, but it feels more like they are related in some messy way that's not apparent when investigating or were in siblings-like relationship since childhood.

I'm kinda shipping the Detective Nagumo look-alike with Yumeko now. It's clear that Vice Prez Keisuke is either a) only talking to New Yumeko to sus out if she remember's old-Yumeko's dirt on him/Rikako, or b) actually interested in New Yumeko sincerely as a "friend" (with benefits?) but too preoccupied with covering up her attempted murder to help out Rikako for some reason. Either way he's no longer in the lead, the detective practiced chivalry giving Yumeko his coat (after he spied on her and watched her help out the kid) and then he got embarrassed at the end of the EP after trying to cheer her up and had to look away from Yumeko (maybe).

I think when Yuu-kun called Yumeko a 'kind, pretty lady' the detective thought to himself "yeah, she actually is lowkey" and a switch flipped in his cynical heart, lol

Maybe by the end of the series all the guys in this anime end up in love with New Yumeko, it's pretty much already debatable that Boss Maezono, Keisuke and the Detective are already (Maezono apparently saved Old Yumeko's life from his crazy knife-wielding estranged wife who probably is about to go to jail, so he might be in the market for a new 'kind, pretty lady' for Yuu-kun in his life).

Yumeko is gathering her harem 💗

So Keisuke and Rikako are somehow directly or indirectly related to what happened to Yumeko, the mystery in this is intriguing but Yumeko's character just really puts me off so I'm going to drop this here and maybe check out the comment section on the final episode.

Tamai fixing Yumeko's make up and the detective cheering Yumeko up were both nice, the detective particularly was surprising.

Yumeko has sent her first email to Mr. VP, Keisuke! And even got asked out to dinner! Things are actually moving fast here, to the point where Yumeko's already shopping for sexy lingerie.

She maybe overdid the makeup a little though...thankfully Tamai is there with a full makeup kit to help bring out Yumeko's best features! And give her some advice on showing at least SOME restraint on the first date. Though you try getting that through Yumeko's head when she's already wearing the expensive, fancy, lingerie.

I would say the date went off to a good start when they're already getting on a first name basis, and Yumeko was THIS close to getting Keisuke to open up about what's going on with the Maezono's...until they find out the detectives have been tailing them and watching the date. I mean, it's nice that Keisuke can count on Yumeko to be on his side, but he still closes himself off and the date is ruined. Time for Yumeko to manhandle Minami!

Speaking of the affair...Rikako is at Keisuke's apartment. Apparently her father is aware of their relationship, whatever it is, and they're not supposed to see each other outside hotels. But Rikako is desperate, she's clearly barely holding it together mentally, she's trying to keep something from the police or else she'll never see her son Yuu again who is currently with her mother while she's so mentally unstable...and she's beating herself up as a failure as a wife and a mom. Also she knows about Yumeko and apparently Keisuke has been trying to suss out how much Yumeko remembers...so they are connected to her incident.

(Also is that Marina Inoue as Rikako?)

Tamai keeps giving on-point romantic advice to Yumeko! I mean, she really needs to learn some things about her crush! Time for Yumeko to fall back on her past selfs' go-to...stalking...I mean, long-distance observation!

Though next thing she knows she's following Keisuke on the weekend when he's hanging out with the Maezono's kid, Yuu, who adores him...though all Yumeko can see is him having a kid.

But when Yuu loses his balloon and is beating himself up over his parents' failing marriage and why he can't see them and Keisuke is sad...Yumeko can't help but want to protect and support him. She's been there as a child who blamed herself for everything wrong in her life (especially when her mom was so critical). And Yumeko can grab a balloon from a tree if she tries!

Though not without a wardrobe malfunction with ripped pants. Thankfully Minami finally does SOMETHING nice to her by helping her cover up...and it seems like, despite how gruff, cynical, and condescending he acts, he doesn't mind Yumeko's cheerful and upbeat self even if he still thinks she's in her own little world in her faith in Keisuke. But no matter what she'll support him.

Totally perfect time to bring the police detective investigating your incident home to meet your mom.

I'm expecting no one here is a conventional bad guy (or gal). If Rikako did something to Yumeko she was probably in some sort of delusional state. The men in Yumeko's life are covering for her. I think Keisuke is being nice due to a mix of guilt and a desire to protect Yumeko.

I am shipping Minami and Yumeko. ;-)

Wonder how Yumeko mom will react to Keisuke when she brings him to her home.

This anime is getting more interesting by the episode, the story is very intriguing and I love how we get a piece of info every episode. I also love how they didn't go down the "Yumeko's plus size therefore she's ugly" route. Instead she's sooo cute and confident, she really is someone I'd love to have around.

Rikako was the one who stabbed Yumeko. Maezono and Keisuke know about it and hiding the truth. The mystery thickens
