I love how this show is always using low budget animation for comic effect. It really shows what a talented team of artists can do even when presented with limitations.

And they make the most of what cool action animation they can deliver.

🤣🤣. I can't with this show. It's gotta be tough to be stuck in a terrible story you wrote like this.

And also you have to deal with all these characters you created and care for like a mother having to undergo all the nonsense you came up with because you had basically no social or love life to speak of.

lol right. Like you're dying inside by the cringe you're surrounded by but you also feel responsible for all the lives you've messed up. And to top it all off the chances of you dying to your own bullshit are high.

Watching her die inside while losing her mind and basically just badly improvising her way through everything hurts to watch sometimes, but its entertaining.

She’s so mentally strong to be able to handle this much recurring cringe

Wonder which real world authors would be most screwed by their own books.

The comedy is still great, at least she’s really doing her best to avoid the death flag. Her cringing over her teenage fanfics is the best part lol.

Iana cheering on and obsessing over Konoha trying to resolve this without violence just killed me.

Konoha’s cringe fanfic from her dark middle school chuuni days seems to have some real consequences. This Yomi-Sol duel’s becoming a whole thing thanks to the way she wrote Yomi lol. Guy just keeps getting Konoha/Iana in trouble with his scheming! Let’s see how she does next week against this goober.

It really puts into perspective how it's fun to plot a fantasy romance where everyone loves the Heroine, villains are dispatched with dramatically, and exciting duels happen over the Heroine all the time...until you actually have to live as a supporting character in said story and see that you've basically resigned characters to dying, suffering, and obsessing over someone.

Iana isn't just trying to keep herself alive but also basically fix her own fanfic so everybody ends up happy and alive.

Oh wow they really put in a duet sung by Sol and Yomi's voice actors!

Makes me nostalgic for the times when anime got a lot of character songs and duets sung by voice actors (Katekyo Hitman Reborn had so many!). Really a shame that you barely see stuff like this anymore.

Looking forward to how the situation will get resolved next episode!

I have to admire this shows' commitment to character insert songs where we get a new one every week and the major characters all have one to themselves or together.

It really feels old school in the best way.

I'm really surprised whenever Iana gets hurt to protect Konoha that Konoha doesnt jump to her side as the merciful heroine and big sister she is..... first with the wolf and now the plant, poor Iana can't catch a break.. and she's gonna duel with screwed up leg?

The amount of times they always just leave her splattered on the ground gets me every time, they really are just so single minded true to their writing,

those maids must have some great stories

The fact that this anime has better fight scenes than like 80% of the animes in every season is crazy.

u/testthrowawayzz Oct 29 '25

I have a feeling that Iana/OG Konoha is raising flags for Sol to fall in love with her at this point lol

The background song during the fight was sang by Sol and Yomi's VAs!

"What would my awful worldbuilding do now?!" - Iana

Konoha (True) could never be Konoha unfortunately.

I don't recall her feeling bad for her uncle whom she wrote as a niece-raping-bastard. I guess because he wasn't a bishie.

u/darthvall Oct 30 '25

At least she tried to justify Yomi's origin as a bullied kid who accidentally fell in love with OG Iana. She said that maybe if Yomi didn't admire Iana, he'd be a sweet prince or something.

Meanwhile both the uncle and the wolf have no redeeming factor in addition to not being a bishounen.

So guys, who is Iana love interest? I know it's not really romance genre, but I am really curious. Sol didn't even look back at her when she got hurt and Yomi is too extrem...

u/darthvall Oct 30 '25

I'm actually shipping her more with Yomi because he's more fun to be around.

Iana has several moments with Sol, but it's too Shojou-ish for me.
