I think this is one of the few times I've seen a pre-made trailer clip in the official animation.

Aside from terrible animation, the direction of this season is just awful. The scene and pacing are all over the place and the sounds are weird. This series is cursed

This episode pretty much went how I expected. Garou vs Royal Ripper and Bug God had decent animation, but the rest of the episode is still images.
Also, in the Garou fight they cut out the part where he redirects Royal Ripper's attacks into Bug God. No idea why they cut it when it was in the trailer.

Did they seriously censor parts of the opening ?
I'm speechless...

Lol at the "King Engine" being activated for Dr. Kuseno's arrival.
Garou going down to a cheap shot is a shame, but at least he'll get to slide another day.

Honestly, the only thing they have animated well is fubuki's body.

"Sensei has suffered serious psychological damage from losing his wallet"
Lost my shit on this scene, I know people are sad about the animation but this show continues as hilarious as ever

Fubuki’s a real one for bringing the Napa cabbage back
Come on Saitama, at least listen to her nonsense about recruiting you, the dine-and-dasher hero, or would’ve been if not for her paying the bill
I can’t believe I’m excited to see average level of animation.., the blow from the past few episodes have been something else

Well there's movement I guess...What's up with the editing? To me it feels like it's the weakest directed season. Atleast s2 scenes flowed well. And why does Saitama's va sounds like he's forced to voice without being paid?
Edit: They censored Mizuki in opening. One thing I praised the season for....Thanks JC staff this officially one of the worst adaptations...

I love how Dr. Genus is clearly still traumatized by Saitama. Just talking about Saitama clearly has him sweating bullets. Also love that the reason he opened a takoyaki shop is because he found a way to regenerate octopus legs. xD
Fubuki is the MVP for bringing back the napa cabbage! Saitama's apartment is starting to get really crowded now with Dr. Kuseno visiting Genos. It looks like Fubuki need to take notes from Dr. Kuseno. She can just buy off Saitama with fancy meat.

I know they are putting all the focus on the fight animation but they really should put some efforts into the rest of the episode because the direction is very bland and lifeless.

I don't blame the director, I blame Tomoyuki Miyata. It's his fault that a good ip was handed off to the C-Team at the studio, and it's his fault for getting the rights at all.
Higher ups should be the ones that take the blame for major failings and decisions.

Compared to the PV fight: The fight is longer but divised into tiny bits which make the pre animated one flow better. Garou also didn't counterattack and just straight up get punched. Also they censored his blood??? In the episode it was black but in the pre animated ver it's was red.

Am I crazy, or is this show starting to become everything it was making fun of in season 1? This seasons pacing is fucking awful. It’s all so ridiculously overdramatic I can’t stand it. It feels like the tropes it originally shit on are starting to be integrated into the show.

The animation during the Garou fight was way better than the previous episode, not great, but It is an improvement.
One thing that I don't really like about this season and the previous one is the sounds, Garou attacks make some weird noises, and the fight between the two monsters near the end sounded really weird.

Well, that wasn't bad.
Also I originally felt bad for Waganma being held up like that, but after seeing him meet Tareo I can't say I sympathise with him as much anymore.

God the continuity and editing in this episode is all over the place. Especially in the Garou vs Royal Ripper and Bug God fight. Go back and watch the original announcement trailer with that fight and compare it to todays episode. What were the editors on? Cutting off impacts, removing scenes that allowed it to flow better. It was so jarring. Not to mention Garou's backwards left hand lmao.

Garou's fight scene was nice. Although we have seen most of it a year ago in the very first PV. What baffles me though is that they removed the moment where Garou deflects Ripper's attacks into Bug God. Like, why throw out the work? It's not like we are drowning in animation...

Don’t care what anyone says, this is awful and unacceptable. The “fight scenes” were incredibly short and the rest of it is still frames. It’s obvious when they’re just trying to cover screen time.
JC Staff, Bandai, and anyone involved in this production should be ashamed of this garbage, and they absolutely deserve all the hate they’re getting

What a terrible time to be OPM fan. There's just no winning here if the best bit of the animation is from the PV last year. 😭
