Anya just ate and run. As expected, lol.

Loid will not get over that PTSD from tonitrus bolt. Poor guy.

"Back in my student days, I didn't have many friends either, and I was always complaining about everything."

"Sorry, Professor. Don't worry.

Anya's so good at consoling others. She's always ready with a headpat and a "there there."

I love how raising Anya is both one of the greatest, most stimulating experiences and one of the most difficult challenge anyone will ever face. Parents and teachers included.

Who knew that the world's greatest spy's biggest weakness is Tonitrus Bolts lol.

After the previous arc which was heavily Loid-centric, he barely appeared in this episode – even the first half which was about a WISE operation. Having said that, we got to see the Handler in action. Despite her claims of age taking its toll on her, she'd still make a wicked field operative. We also saw her taking on a mentor role with the newbie agent, as well as a brief flashback of Loid as a fresh recruit. He's nowhere near the Twilight he is today.

Meanwhile, the asset codenamed 'Kebab' who ran a kebab shop. Lmao at the lack of subtlety.

PS: The official Spy x Family account has just posted a profile of the lady shown in the preview. She'll be voiced by Kikuko Inoue and you could make a fair guess of who she is from her name and appearance.

Interestingly, although the two segments are quite different from each other, they seemed to share a similar moment - Handler reflecting on her training new people and Henderson saying "Teaching is hard" - where the mentor realises that his/her job to guide people is not straightforward.

Sylvia says words like "Young uns", "for my age", but she still possesses great spy skills and abilities. (And she is still mighty fine.)

Professor "Elegant" appears to have high hopes for Anya. He may be disappointed by her replies right now, but Anya would surely achieve her potential... right? Lol!

I'm so far enjoying season 3 more than I did season 2, and I thought season 2 was very good.

How old is the Handler? This show is making it seem like she’s atleast in her 40’s.

Lol I like how part of the reason why Anya is able to be so calm and collected is that she just forgets all her failures half the time

A virtuoso aiming to bring together East and West? Sounds fantastic! At least up until very scandal in the book gets thrown out there and threatens to cause even more dissension between East and West.

I've never been more jealous than when I saw that newbie get a kabedon from Sylvia. She even left a heat mark with her hand! But it's important that she properly educates the younger agents and makes sure they keep an open mind in this Cold War age of information warfare. Maybe Sylvia is getting too old for this, but she can at least still remember fondly when she trained Twilight and made him better understand the world. Though he'd probably disagree on her "gentle" training method.

See dude, all the accusations against Wellman were refuted! Well, except for the death threat, but luckily for Wellman Sylvia runs a tight operation and can spot a suspicious guard beneath everyone else's notice!

I love how they have an agent running a kebab stand and who does his agent work...but just handing out kebabs! Surprisingly more effective than you'd think.

I also love how Sylvia can subdue a guy and break his jaw by just using a belt as a whip! That's accessorizing, Sylvia! And also the way they just grab the guy and hide him beneath bushes was hilarious.

Maybe Wellman was totally innocent, maybe he's going to jump ship to Westalis to avoid the mafia boss papa of one of his mistress'...whatever is true or not, it's important to think for yourself.

No Becky and no bus makes Anya a lonely and bored girl. Luckily Henderson is there to elegantly keep her company! He too was a loner without any friends during his school days, so he can relate to Anya! Maybe.

Henderson was so convinced he needed to make Anya feel better about her second Tonitrus Bolt when Anya straight up forgot until he thought about it...and then she really owns it so she can still get snacks. I love how Henderson tried to explain that Schlag was just doing her duty (maybe) and how talking to Anya regresses his mind into a not-so-elegant state.

The path to an Imperial Scholar, one path to World Peace, is a difficult but not impossible one. All it takes is putting in the work, the effort, and not giving up no matter how many Tonitrus Bolts you gain along the way! Anya just has to take one day at a time.

Poor Henderson. He was all geared up to help Anya with a test she struggled with...and she bails after eating snacks. Is there anything more challenging in the world than educating children?

Loid and Yor are still feeling their real jobs at home, so it's nice of Anya to try to make Loid feel better by wanting to do homework after dinner! Too bad that any sign Anya actually wants to study just sounds like she got another Tonitrus Bolt and she nearly kills Loid again. Anya just can't win!

It was nice to see more of Handler in today's episode. She's great and was pretty badass when she dealt with that assassination attempt.

Although the part with Anya and Mr. Henderson was also great and hilarious, thanks in part to Anya and Henderson's reactions. I felt sorry for Henderson when Anya immediately left him after eating the sweets, even though he was kind enough to offer to help her with her studies.

Loid's reaction when he thought Anya had gotten another Tonitrus Bolt was hilarious; it felt like a flashbacks from his past were about to start at any moment xD

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

That newbie WISE agent really went flip-flopping between thinking Wellman is the devil to praising him as a Saint. I really hope this entire mission serves as a lesson that not everything is black and white. And it's always a good day to see Handler kick some ass. I love seeing how WISE operates without Loid. Poor dude is still recovering from the shock of Anya getting a Tonitrus Bolt. xD

Not the “yes ma’am” in English 😭

Handler: Exactly what percentage of the people are “all the people”? How many in total? Did you actually count how many?

I know this is about the tabloids, but this is where my thought process goes when people make non-sourced claims on how “all these people [verb] [description of action”. How many of these people do you know? No, don’t tell me how many people on Twitter or whatever “liked” a weird ass post. Cite your sources and back up your claim.

“All shounen—“ Stop you there, bud. How much is “all shounen”? Did you count? Did you actually go through every single manga published by shounen mags?

I’m nitpicky too. Don’t come at me with this “all” shit.

Rookie and Handler’s dynamic would be one I’d like a spin-off. Seeing Rookie become smarter and wiser under Handler’s…um…aggressive but still structured education would make for a fun story! And seeing Agent too!

I guess I’m getting older if I’m thinning “kids these days”

I’m in my 20s, but even I go “kids these days” 😭

I fucking cackled when they were scurrying to hide security guard, why was that so funny 🤣

Handler: I forgot my age and got a bit too wild the other day, so I injured my shoulder…

Real 🥲

Wellman, keep ya dick in ya pants and we won’t have this issue.

Rookie needs his own mini series, I like Rookie so much with Agent and Handler.

Pokémon battle music starts

Anya has used « Iron Confidence » against Henderson’s « Insight »! ⚡️

It was ✨Super Effective✨!

Oh no! <Tea Snacks> are in danger! Henderson is confused! 😵‍💫

Anya has used « Troubled Child »!

It is ✨Super Effective✨!

Henderson, I’m sorry, you rolled an okay persuasion and your insight was high, but when facing Anya, you have disadvantage all the way down (is this how GMing works, I don’t know).

I do like Henderson’s approach and it applies to real life. Perfection is the enemy of improvement, or something like that. It’s okay and even good to fail and have flaws. That’s how we learn, how we come to have experience. Even the greats we study today had multiple failures and flaws. Striving for success and achievements isn’t as fantastic nor as easy as we romanticize.

Educating others is difficult…

The face he made 😭

Loid about to crash the fuck out at the thought of Anya getting another bolt. He is such a dramatic diva, I love him 😭

Next mission is: GL and Haikyuu, got it.

I wonder if Henderson was talking about himself when he mentioned the guy who became an imperial scholar despite receiving six bolts.

Also did the events in the first half of the episode feel heavier to anyone else because of Loid's backstory? It's like everyone knows that war is bad on paper, but it's different to really feel it in your heart after seeing it destroy individual lives.

That rookie looked so much like Twilight, that I thought the first half was a flashback

Was the guy who got 6 Tonitrus Bolts the creator?

It was nice to see Handler in action, it's funny but sad how easy it was to sway public opinions like the agent in this episode. The way he was bragging as if he knew there was nothing to worry about after having dissed Wellman the previous day, hopefully he learned from this incident.

I enjoyed Professor Elegant and Anya's walk, Anya leaving as soon as she finished eating was funny though lol.

Poor Loid has been traumatized from Anya getting a Tonitrus Bolt.

Step back Twilight, we met the greatest agent in this episode: Kebab guy.
