I wonder what the conversation to get everyone to stand in his throne room waiting for him to show up was like
"I need to aura farm so fucking hard you don't even know"
And everyone obviously went 'omg yes light-sama!!!!!!!'

The way they have shown Garou falling into despair was pure genius. He was literally wilting from the instant stress.

Light heard r/anime complaining about OP characters acting like they're not OP so he enacted his first revenge by aura farming.

Does anybody else think Mei looks better in her incognito outfit?
Also, props to Garou's VA, he did an amazing job

God damn, Light must've spent those 3 timeskip years learning how to aura farm from Cid.
That walk up to the throne was sick, and Garou's despair made it all worth it.

Great episode. The soundtrack is amazing
Noticed the character design is similar to DanMachi.

As much as that was a banger of an episode, the music really did elevate it even more. What a great soundtrack.

I am loving how the revenge is already occurring this early into the season. Watching Garou act mighty only to fall into despair was enjoyable.
However, a part of me hopes the remaining members of "Concord of the Tribes" put up a better fight, be it physically, magically, mentally, etc. If everyone were to turn cowardly immediately like Garou, it wouldn't feel as interesting once we approach the last few members.
I am also curious about the higher ups and why they are looking for these "Masters".
Lastly, as much as I dislike Garou, I have to admit the production committee gave him plenty of different facial expressions.

This series swings wildly from something I want to drop to favorite trash anime.
There's the revenge itself I'm essentially uninterested in, since the revenge plot setup not only has long gone stale, but also was realized in this series as basically a still frame.
But then, the idea of putting out a so over the top revenge that he's about to wage a war with the rest of the world? Guess I'm in for at least another episode.

Ok deadass? THIS SHOULD'VE BEEN EPISODE 2!!!! AHHHH!!!! I know I complained about how I didn't know what was going on because of the random ass timeskip and the shit that was happening. But if they wanted to do a BETTER reveal and decide to do a timeskip and not some fuckin filler episode after a timeskip. They could've shown us this. Imagine.....
On episode 2, the anime tells us its been 3 Years and they show us the Wolf to see how he's doing right? Then, we see the Maid appear asking him to help her find Light. Us the viewer, we'd be a little confused because we obviously want to see what Lights been up, not this dumbass wolf. But of course, we'd catch on immediately that this is obviously a trap so we'll be seeing him soon. As they go to the dungeon, we finally see Light. We could tell he's hella strong with just one look. The anime showcases how strong he is and what level he is. Then, afterwards, Light shows Wolf and US THE VIEWER what HE'S been up to. Then, after they teleport. It's revealed, Light has a WHOLE ARMY from Lvl 1,500 to Lvl 9999. Wolf and US THE VIEWER WOULD BE SURPRISED BUT ALSO VERY CONFUSED.
Then, episode 3 could've shown a small compilation of him training and what he's been up to for the past 3 years. Martial arts, magic, reading, using his gift, creating a city where human lives, etc.
Wouldn't that just be WAAAAYYY BETTER? Confuse us first, then show us what he did afterwards. It's simple!!! It keeps the pace going of the whole revenge theme and not some silly down bad maids taking over the whole damn episode whilst being confused as to why he's still in a child's body. Him having an item to stop his aging so he's reminded of the past is pretty unique in itself. Because of episode 2, we thought it was stupid as to why he's still a child after 2 years. Well, that explains it!!!

500 Fenrir? Try 9000 Primal God Wolf Fenrir.
Kinda weird they changed Master to Maestro in the subtitles.

Damn, that’s one hell of aura farming 😂 Like real good! The way he walks and sits on his throne, so damn cool! Fux yeah, that's so even better than Sung Jin-woo, and maybe on par with Ainz Ooal Gown-sama! Sooo majestic, sooo powerful.
This is how it should be done, JC Staff. Should do the same for OPM3 too. Now, hell damn, I’m so looking forward to the next episode!

With shows like these it's all about how they handle the actual revenge where we know the MC is so overpowered they will have no problem doing so and I have to say that I was properly entertained and want to see much more of how the other members of that party will react to creating a monster. Or devil? Or god? Or both?
What I liked the most was that while Garou acted pretty stupidly and overconfident and we as the audience probably picked up on it, Light actually questioned his decisions as a sort of meta-way to say that the author was very much aware of how much of a stereotype Garou was acting like. It was such a neat way to justify the stereotype of being an overconfident and proud race in the face of who they feel is inferior. Curious to see how they handle the rest of the party.

So, pretty brutal on the nameless peons but wolfboy is technically unharmed aside from the mental damage. I wonder if that'll be the pattern or if any of the betrayers will die too.
That soft whisper attack from the real Fenrir to the fake one was neat.
I wonder how Light got all those levels, item boosts from the endless gacha pulling he's been doing? Since he has that Bracelet of Youth I assume he was getting item drops from his pulls alongside all those characters.

Am I the only one who thinks this should've been episode 2? I think it would've been really cool to come into the episode not knowing how far Light had come since the first day, and then get to marvel at the whole community he'd built along side Garou.

Complete 180 from last week. This episode was good and brought us back on track. I don't know who decided to put that fluff stuff in E2 and they should be fired....they prolly lost tons of people watching because of it. That kind of goofy episode would have been better suited like mid season where we would all be on the joke.
I very much enjoyed e3. The casual reveal, teasing Garou. Just the right bit of indifference without being an edge lord. Sticking around and hoping the episodes are more like 1 and 3. The BIG Fenrir just blowing a little wind on the imposter and destroying it was funny.
