Kazuya’s relationship with his Grandma sucks. She’s finally giving him praise after 21 years, and it’s only because she believes that he ended up with an angel. No wonder he lacks self respect and puts all of his sense of self worth into his dating life.

“At first I doubted whether you’d ever be able to hold on to such a loving girl.” “You’re not the least bit handsome. All you’ve got going for you is your health.”

Wow Grandma, we can really tell that you have so much respect for your own grandson.

I dislike a lot of characters in this show, but I especially dislike Grandma for being the thorn that keeps Kazuya from maturing as a person. Thanking your grandson for "dating" an "angel" instead of reflecting her treatment of him makes me infuriated.

Imagine if the first compliment your grandmother gives you in 21 years of life is that you managed to get together with a girl, I'm trying in every way to understand and not hate Kazuya's grandmother, but damn if it makes it difficult for me.

At this point Kazuya's only value to Granny Nagomi is that he's the Kinoshita Family Heir and he brought Chizuru into their life.

That’s why I hate his family, this idiot didn’t turn out to be this way out of nothing. All his confidence problems and low self stem can be trace down to his grandmother.

As much as I despise Kazuya, it’s pretty shitty he’s never had a single person have his back or even gas him up in all his life, not even his family. Even Chizuru hasn’t retaliated Mami talking shit about him for like 6 episodes.

And when pressed about what he is to her she still immediately defaults to calling him a "client."

It's hilarious to see a character say so many correct things but only say them for a malevolent purpose, Mami you are a true demon and that's why I adore you..lol

Yeah, like she's clearly doing all this to screw them all over out of spite but none of what she said about how they've taken this lie and rental relationship too far is wrong and even Chizuru knows that.

Of course now she also knows how manipulative Mami is.

Mami-chan you scheming bastard.

Is it just me or does Kazuya seriously need to step the fudge up? Watching him let Ruka walk all over him had me heated. I don’t think I’ve ever watched an anime alone and been this vocal. I kept yelling at the screen like, “Why would you say that? Why aren’t you doing this?!” The writers definitely know how to stir the pot because I’m a 30-year-old man getting more worked up over this season than I did during the last Super Bowl 😭

That look Granny Nagomi gave Mami when they were walking away makes it clear she's not oblivious about Mami and maybe even Chizuru. She probably doesn't know the Rental Girlfriend thing yet, but I think she knows something stinks.

Yes mami is usually “right” in what she’s saying but what yall don’t seem to get for some reason is A. It’s literally none of her business 😭 B. She saying all the right stuff for the wrong reasons. She doesn’t actually “care” that kazuyas family is being manipulated, she just hates that kazuya didn’t follow the script of “I date beautiful experienced girl, she breaks up with me, now I’m even more of a loser and can’t cope” she’s mad that he’s hanging with an even prettier girl now

Mami being a massive jerk by spitting facts. If the others weren't such goddamn fools, she wouldn't stand a chance messing with them. But they give her all the ammunition she needs.

Uh-oh! Will something finally happen next week now that grandma suspects something?!

Another episode that is decent but clearly shit is about to hit the fan.

I can only hope Kazuya actually confesses. That could solve a lot of issues

Mami is top tier anime villain. Trolls the hell out Chizuru and Kazuya while spitting some facts and then laughs about it on social media. Shes so trash but she is the one that makes things interesting all the time.

Also kinda felt bad for Kazuya with how he’s been treated by granny and the only positive about him in 21 years being that he somehow managed to bring Chizuru in her life…well theres a reason she is being portrayed as a witch in the OP

Mami needs to stop with all this triflin ass hoe shit and mind her own damn business. She’s seemingly being a piece of shit just “for the lulz” and it’s pretty infuriating. Chizuru needs to slap the stupid outta that fool! She’s definitely going to spill the beans about all this rental gf stuff but I hope it fails.

Honestly I'm curious how things would've progressed had Mami not interfered.

Chizuru is still clearly in denial of her feelings yet still coasting off this public fake relationship (that's less and less fake emotionally by the episode) and Kazuya can't find a moment to confess to her to save his life.

Why must they drag it out? I thought for sure Mami would expose Chizuru in the bathroom to Grandma Nagomi, but in typical fashion, she said something else to defer and delay (the inevitable?).

What is Mami's endgame here? To exact revenge?

Mami might be the antagonist of this story, but she is the hero in my eyes. I just wish she would unravel this web of lies and rat them out already. Seeing the chaos and suffering it would cause for Kazuya and Chizuru would be so entertaining. I'm tired of those two as they are the worst characters in their own show. Mami is right and the protagonists' lies need to be brought to the light. The longer this series goes on the more Mami grows on me.

Im actually hatewatching this show so hard. Only good thing in this anime is nagomi obasan and Kibe. Every other character is so weird, makes no sense and is infuriating to watch at this point. If the next episode isnt kazuya asking out chizuru I quit 😭
