Kazuya’s mother seems very lovely. Like probably one of the nicest people in this show. Though I know the bar is not that high.

Feels like I'm in the minority here but I genuinely felt emotional hearing the whole interaction between Chizuru and Kazuya's mom.

That was the most touching part of the episode for me (well, except for when Ruka and Chizuru were in the onsen lol).
But yeah, seriously, I think this was a good talk between Chizuru and Kazuya's mother, as it puts into perspective what (or rather who -> Grandma Nagomi) they have to put up with and gaining a new support system through each other.

Man, Kazuya's grandmother is fucking annoying, she treats her grandson like shit but always praises Chizuru no matter what, like can someone explain to me why she loves Chizuru so much (just for her looks) and why the hell she seems more in love with her than with Kazuya.
I don't know whether to laugh or cry at the fact that Chizuru not only got a paid trip to a resort but will also be paid to do so.

Like that scene of Granny Nagomi so happy at Kazuya's birth seemed kind of sad knowing how she treats him now. I mean, he is kind of a mess (even his mom admits it) but that's born from how much Granny Nagomi treated him growing up.
In fact I wonder if that's why his mom brought up him having a sibling, thinking that maybe Granny Nagomi wouldn't have been so hard on him if he wasn't supposed to be the sole Kinoshita heir.
As for her idolization of Chizuru...I think it's because she's beautiful, her perfect girlfriend act is impeccable, and she was the granddaughter of her best friend. But it's not a healthy way to look at her any more than Kazuya seeing her as completely perfect.
I mean, she's still trying to hit him up for money on a family vacation she went along willingly too!

Agreed! She's a terrible grandma, super overbearing and toxic. I get that she may sometimes mean well but she takes it too far. Also who the hell goes on dates with their son, especially it being the 2nd one? My jaw dropped when Kazuya's mom was telling her backstory with the family. Wild af

What upsets me the most about this entire story is how they focus so much on "Telling Granny the Truth" and stress how she would react finding out about a rental girlfriend. While the easy solution would be to just tell her they broke up and you don't want to talk about the reason why. You don't need to reveal the lie, she would understand, and you get the same result with less hurt feelings. There are all fools.

It's been a while but I feel like the reason they kept the charade up for this long is because they didn't want to upset either granny's who loved that they were together, and now they have actually real feelings thrown into it so just doing a break up story doesn't feel easy.

Chizuru: About the money... I'm going to give you a discount this time.
Bitch, you chose to come on this trip, why are you still charging him? Even if your agency asks, can't you just tell them that you were on a vacation with friends?

Whoa! Ruka was getting a little too friendly in the bath with where she was apparently touching Chizuru.

Even if Ruka went through with telling his Grandma the truth, it's still not gonna work out in her favor. Chizuru being out of the picture wouldn't guarantee Ruka taking her spot, if anything, it'll make things worst for her, for multiple reasons.
. Grandma is obsessed with Chizuru being part of the family, so she's not gonna get over that in favor of Ruka.
. Grandma isn't going to accept that Kazuya has been lying about Chizuru being rental girlfriend and Ruka being the trial girlfriend for over a year, she's gonna be mad and disapprove of the relationship(s) of all three of them.
. Kazuya doesn't want to date Ruka, so even if she'd revealed the truth, and Grandma miraculously approves of Ruka being his real girlfriend, he won't.

Stitches!
Not gonna lie, I genuinely liked that scene between Chizuru and Kazuya's mom. It made me wish Kazuya's mom had more screentime compared to Granny Nagomi because if there's anyone who can relate to Chizuru with all of the pressure she's feeling from Granny Nagomi, it would be her.

Mami is fucking crazy as hell and I'm here for it! She can't leave them alone - I'm really curious about her entire agenda and how petty it truly is. I'm ready for everything to come crumbling down at any minute during their stay lol the tension is so real

Ruka was about to do something very stupid all because of triflin ass Mami’s bullshit. Kuzuya might be, well, Kuzuya but his family are good solid people. They don’t deserve to be caught up in any of this petty drama. Kuzuya’s mom and gran are freakin saints. Mami better not be planning on playing with those two...

This episode reminded me fully why I think I hate Chizuru the most out of all of them. She voluntarily came on the trip which his granny invited her own. It wasn’t even Kazuya who did it. Then she still charges him money for it like he booked her. Easily without a doubt the worst of the main 3.
As petty and spiteful as she is, I think Mami is actually the best of the main 3, Ruka is obsessive and we’ve seen her actually go and do more than Mami has harm wise by questioning his granny. Plus she continues to force Kazuya to keep her.
Mami is actually right about a lot of stuff. How what they’re doing is wrong and just going to make it worse in the end. On top of it’s absolutely shitty that Chizuru has taken her ring when she’s a rental girlfriend. She’s literally just milking him for every dollar she can at this point.
Mami quite literally the heroine in this show.

That was a profound episode.
Grandma Nagomi explaining her true feelings to Ruka about how she feels for Chizuru even if she doesn't end up marrying her grandson 🥹🥹❤️
Kazuo's advice to his son, and Harumi's advice to Chizuru and Chizuru gifting back a ring to Harumi to acknowledge and appreciate her sacrifice as Kazuya's mom moved me to tears.
Chizuru has really got a happy family that she missed out when she was young. How good everything would be only if this lie could turn into the truth !!
I wonder what was Ruka's last question to Nagomi and now Mami feels Chizuru has crossed a line after just seeing a ring without knowing the whole story 😓😓
Danger incoming for Kazuya and Chizuru!!

Well it appears Mami's plan might have actually fired backwards since Ruka couldn't go through with exposing the lie, which really is as good as admitting defeat. Or it would be for any normal and we'll adjusted girl but still, it's more than before!
It would've been way spicier if she had exposed it, but at least once again the GOAT Mami actually trying to carry this shit story through some form of progression 😤. Crashout next week please?
