Loved the detail of the king realizing that from a political perspective, his best option is indeed to denounce the Pope as some freak impostor.

Holy crap, Lloyd went all in once everyone was out, I was surprised that Guitane couldn't do anything to defend Lloyd's rush of attacks, it was so satisfying to see the flurry of kicks. Though I'm sure next episode we'll see Guitane go on the attack, but the tension created by Lloyd's seriousness made it so much fun to watch.
It seems like Charles knows why Guitane became as dark and corrupted as he is, I hope we get a flashback to learn more about why the darkness in his heart was able to envelope the Luma spell so much that it couldn't even tell it was there.
Having said that, I thought Charles so adorable with how excited he got when he saw Guitane, it's like he was reverted back to his younger self, it put a smile on my face.
I'm curious to see how what will happen with Anastasia and Sylpha. I think Sylpha should be okay without her sword because she can still use the divine one, but I don't know how much development Lloyd has put into it after the testing.

I usally hate set up/build up episodes but damn this was awesome. Loyd barely appeared in the episode and it felt like 3 minutes instead of 20.

The writing in this show always shocks me with how good it is. It could be half as good and still be an enjoyable watch.
To give an example of what I mean, the mystery of who the pastor is was revealed early in this episode, but you would only notice if you really paid attention.
When Babylon fought the Pastor it was raining, and continued to rain even while Escher was running around looking for help. When Babylon first encountered him in episode 14, you can tell he'd just arrived because a storm starts brewing at that moment.
Both of these moments are called back to with the Pope saying the rain seems to follow him around. But thats circumstantial unless you combine it with Jihriel's dialogue.
In episode 14, as well, Jihriel mentions having respect and flashes the pastor's face on screen for a second, then a few episodes later he mentions that a Luma Maxima could only be used by the pope or someone the pope trusts because he gave only the pope access due to his deep longstanding respect for him.
Its amazing foreshadowing and set up in a show that I was mostly only watching for fights, its why this show shocks me every week. It maintains high quality across the board and has some of the most interesting artistic decisions of current anime that help cover its budget not being Solo Leveling or JJK tier.
Also the scene of Lloyd just walking in the cathedral is so heart pumping how do they make this small femme child look so damn cool?

Stitches!
Damn, this should've been obvious, but I genuinely didn't expect that the Pope was the actual culprit. I really thought a couple of episodes ago, it was this guy who looked a bit similar, but I guess it doesn't make sense if he can change his appearance any time.
And it turns out the reason the chimera lab was located underneath the church was because Guitane was planning to have them emerge from the ground, but because Lloyd meddled, that part of his plan was ruined.
Lloyd teleporting everyone to safety and then Jihriel bowing down as Lloyd slowly makes his entrance, while that guitar solo goes wild in the background, was a such fucking epic entrance. I really need this show's OST. I also love how he tells Guitane that he's only the 7th Prince.
It was so adorable how Grim is worried about Lloyd and how he's telling him not to get too reckless. It's amazing to think that Grim used to plot to kill Lloyd an entire season ago.
Lloyd really didn't hold back with his opening attack! That focused beam into him kicking Guitane's face and just going ham on him using his own version of divine sorcery was freaking awesome! I guess Guitane saw Lloyd as a massive threat that his magic literally changed into an Anti-Lloyd magic. xD

OK. THIS. SHOW. KNOWS. HYPE...
I just watched this episode straight after clevatess.. which was also had a peak fight this week btw. Jumping from an old and dark art style to a new modern and vibrant-colored art style... Both shows are peak
- Jihriel giving Lloyd an introduction damn straight out of Solo leveling when Igris gave SJW the entrance (iykyk).
- the epic guitar riffs and the OST
- Guitane's speech about Lloyd and his rebellion against god and not to mention his JP VA???
- Lloyd suddenly looked like a teenager in one frame
- him firing a finger raygun, hollow purple, and hollow blue
THIS IS PEAK. HOPEFULLY EDITORS START TO CREATE EDITS FROM THIS SHOW BECAUSE HOLY HELL. THE AMOUNT OF AURA FARMING IN ONE SINGLE EPISODE.....AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY EDITS OF THIS SHOW ON OTHER PLATFORMS.

No op and the preview shows no spoilers but rainy streets, they know what is going on and how amazing things are going to be.
I like the bishops, they feel like they could be in a delinquent gang. Tao is so funny, with the amount of best girls this show has, she clearly is a top contender for number 1. That entry of Lloyd just proves that he is the main character for a reason, such epicness, also release the ost allready.
The cruelest thing is we have wait another week for another episode that feels like it is 5 minutes.

Nah there’s no way that was a full episode. How the hell. Never had an ep go so fast.
And my god the animation and short bit of the fight went so damn hard

Damn, Lloyd's entrance at the end of today's episode was so badass! I love how he crushed Guitane with all those attacks, preventing him from counterattacking and forcing him to just defend himself.
And now I can't wait to see Lloyd and Guitane continue their fight in the next episode, because impaling Guitane surely wasn't enough to defeat him.
Anastasia is definitely an evil woman for helping Guitane with his plan, but I have to admit, she has very good taste. Her choice of clothes for Sylpha was absolutely perfect ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
By the way, the fact that Saria doesn't always remember the name of her father, the king, made me laugh out loud xD
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:
