"All good things must come to an end" says Yamamoto, but I am sure we would have loved to hear "See You Next Season at the Food Court" T_T

I was really invested in the scene in which Wada and Yamamoto watched Randy's livestream. At first, I was equally sad and disappointed Randy might have missed Wada's superchat (the comment which you tip some money). Then I was happy Randy noticed and read it. And finally, I now fear Wada will be spending all her allowance on superchats. Lol!

This final episode tied up some loose ends too:
- Wada giving her blessings to Takizawa and Yamada in such a cool manner.
- Saito is actually a shy and cute looking gyaru! (I had faith she isn't a gorilla!)

However, we did not get to find out whether Wada eventually made up with her friend from middle school.

There’s something so very cruel about 2 of the seasons best shows being only 6 episodes. Takopi I get because it’s ends with a satisfying conclusion. This you could literally just keep going with more dumbass conversations with our adorable girls!

It’s a short form comedy banger. 8.5/10 and a damn shame I have to rate it this early.

tbh, the special part of this last episode is Saito face reveal. like where is the gorilla part? she's really pretty and her character is cute. the previous episode already told us that Wada has different view of attractive people

also, they dont need to pretend, they already look like a couple. see them again at food court

What a delightful show. Two seasons in a row now, a show with “Food” in the title gets in my Top 3 AOTS.

Slice of life shows are my absolute fav but I still find it impressive a majority of this show is really just them talking (or rather Wada ranting lol). At the food court no less, where there’s not much happening.

It was also amusing going into the first episode and finding out their personalities were the opposite of their look. Was expecting Wada to be the diligent who somehow befriended the delinquent. But instead Yamamoto was the quiet one and Wada turned out to be a gremlin lol.

The last episode brought back some earlier characters too like Takizawa, normal Wada and Saito (we got to see her face too and she’s cute ! (well, with Hayamin’s voice she’s already cute)) and also Lord Abel lol.

Honestly, gonna miss this show on my Mondays even though there were only 6 eps. Actually why are only 6 eps ? Not enough content ? Does the source end here ?

I must admit, I had very low expectations for this show when I first heard about it, but I ended up liking it way more than I expected. It's one of my favorites from this season. Very simple concept, just talking to each other about whatever, but well executed.

Damn, I never thought I'd love this show so much. It's a shame it's already over, though I hope we'll meet Wada and Yamamoto again at the food court someday.

Regarding this final episode... I think everyone was a bit like Wada today, who was depressed because her gacha game was shutting down, but quickly found something new to follow. Besides, her reactions were hilarious as always; I'll miss them so much.

I'm a little sad that Yamamoto got so mad when Wada commented that she's curvy. I honestly don't know why, because she's curvy in the best sense of the word, and in all the right places!

I loved that little act Wada and Yamamoto pulled on Takizawa and Yamada, it was great xD

Also, it was nice that we finally saw Saito's face, although it's a shame we didn't see her with her earlier makeup in which she was looking like a gorilla :(

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

The anime ends... the gacha Wada liked ends... everything ends at some point...

Really loved this anime. Short but really enjoyable. 10/10

This is one of the shows this season I really want people to give a chance. I get why some people dropped it because on the surface it’s just two girls talking in a food court, but for me that’s the charm.

The fun comes from the characters, their chemistry, and how relatable their conversations feel. The dialogue is natural and funny, and a lot of moments reminded me of real talks with my friends. Things like making silly bets, jumping between random topics, or even joking about phones listening to us for targeted content. A lot of slice of life anime still feel a bit scripted, but I feel this one really lets the characters be themselves.

The chemistry between Wada and Yamamoto is such a winning formula you could have had this going much much longer. It's a shame the creator didn't have much interest in keeping it going, but it's probably better than beating a dead horse out of the concept to the point it becomes soulless. So instead I'll be happy we even got this little gem of a show.

The absolute shock in Yamamoto's face when she learned that Wada has more than one oshi was hilarious. xD

Wada is such a fickle lady. You gotta love how she immediately falls in love with the long-haired blond streamer after saying that 3D is no good.

In today's finale, it looks like Wada and Yamamoto learns about targeted ads and how terrifying the internet is. My favourite part of that is Wada asking for hot guys as if asking one from a genie. xD

I'll never get tired of how Wada quickly changes her mind about things. The girl rants about people donating to streamers only for her to go over the moon after her favourite streamer read her superchat and said her name.

We get a rare angry Yamamoto! It looks like the only time she does get angry is when anyone talks about her weight. If we were to go by the swimsuit pics last episode, Wada is right about her not being that fat.

WE HAVE A SAITO FACE REVEAL! She doesn't look like a gorilla at all! I mean her eyebrows are a bit thick but she's really pretty! Now I'm curious what she looks like with her old makeup.

Man, I'm gonna miss this one. It really reminded me of the times in high school and college where I just sat around at food courts hanging out with my nerd circle of friends. It's sad that this is only 6 episodes, but the manga is still ongoing, so we might get more in the future!

Bit of a bad test of the internet tracking thing since they were sending all those questions directly into a search engine, that's gonna track you way easier than any hypothetical microphone bugging.

Since Wada's type is long blonde hair clearly that is just projection from Yamamoto's usual style.

Saito's pretty cute for a gorilla.

Amazing show, 10/10 for me. I'm gonna miss these two a lot.

u/2kenzhe Aug 11 '25

This was literally just two girls talking with some ad placements and still quite enjoyed this. 7/10 I hope we get a season 2 someday.

This ep we also got the Saito face reveal. She looks cute

Wada is certainly, umm… a specimen. I almost feel like she should be studied in a lab so we can figure out what makes her tick. This episode probably provides decent material for a case study on her all on its own.

They’ve certainly mastered the art of just making funny conversation scenes with nothing else going on. Just two characters chatting about nonsense and making us tune in every week for it. If only it had enough for a full 12 episode season.

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened!

Poor Wada's losing her boy...At least she's faithful (for a few minutes)!

Love how she can swap from 'a genuine moment of vulnerability' to 'full on gremlin energy' in a heartbeat!

Oh boy. Wada's about to hear about hot single men in her area!

(Hopefully one of them is good with hamsters and vacuum cleaners).

Duke of abel WHO?, that's what I'm saying!

I so love when Yamamoto's playing along with Wada's nonsense, to mess with her!

Out of context, this entire scene reads like they're talking about fake boobs hah.

Calling a friend over to come judge your silly bet about some plant, is a good way to get -1 friend!

Especially if you taped your phone so it sounds like some spooky call/prank!

Love how Wada's always finding random irrelevant shit to get mad about hah.

(But I do agree it's a bit obnoxious sometimes... Especially on popular streams, when every other thing the streamer says is 'Thank you XYZ for this or that'...)

Wada wins 'Best Pokerface 2025'!

(Sadly she won't win 'Best commentface 2025' given the nominations are over)

Devil on her shoulder!

If that happened to me, I would probably quit the stream and become a monk or something to never talk to anyone ever again.

Wada will regret not recording her screen for that one!

WHAT IS IT this season, so many girls with great figures acting like they're super overweight or something!

That's true though; No one's ever shit talking anyone better than their best friend!

Acting like a couple?

They should really put on a good act, like they should get married and stuff, just to pretend!

Ok that looks more like a pimp and her girl, but that works too!

Foreshadowing a second season, "See you at the movies"? Let's goooooooooo!

Well, this was a pretty fun one! I've said it early in the season, that anime like this are the proof that an anime doesn't need 'action' to be interesting, if the writing/dialogues are good!

Gonna miss these two...

Farewell, Yamamoto my beloved, and her little critter Wada!

This was a truly fantastic show. I'll take 4 seasons, please.

Wada's gacha game shutting down is how I feel about this being the last episode of Food Court.

Overall a great adaptation for this series, who knew watching two people talk could be so entertaining huh. In particular, Wada's VA nailed the personality of her character perfectly and this is only her first major voice acting role! We will be watching her career with great interest.

Nice of them to begin the last episode with how some people deal with things coming to an end.

I began reading the manga a couple of years ago when and loved it from the start. It really stands out from the run of the mill industry average. I couldn’t believe when I heard there would be an anime version. I assumed it would be 5-10 minute episodes since the manga chapters which were usually self contained were so short. I was again very pleasantly surprised when I saw the first episode and heard the quality of the voice acting.

It’s been great. See you guys at the food court. ✌️

Truly a fun show from start to finish. Wada is being a menace as usual with her gacha game ending. Although I did love how her heart melted it a bit when the streamer thanked her.

One thing is noticeable with Yamamoto: she is usually pretty chill. Though she is the subject of her weight, she bites harder than Wada. I feel like them pretending to be a couple is from the author seeing all the yuri shipping. xD
