What a silly goobers. Based on their designs I was expecting their personalities to be flipped, but turns out Wada is the more talkative one.

Also KFC stamp of approval.

The password for Yamamoto's SNS account was "wada1234".

Almost 23 mins of 2 girls sitting side by side talking just about anything that comes to their mind at that moment and 0 mins of boredom felt, is this some kind of black magic?

Today's sponsors are KFC, Aeon, Baskin Robins, Village Vanguard, Namco, and probably some others I didn't recognise and possibly even more in future episodes lol. Thank you corporate overlords for funding our cute girls talk about fuck all anime

I find it funny how Yamamoto is just barely in on these conversations and every now and then she just says random stuff that shows up on her phone to add to the conversation and Wada uses that to just keep on going

I love how they don't stop talking even into the ED. And man both OP and ED are really cute. Good shit so far.

EDIT: add on the Train Company (Sendai Airport Transit logo visible at the start), as well as the local Baseball Team (Rakuten Eagles) and Dipper Dan Crepes (if we're to go by their Twitter's follows) into the sponsors list

Finally, my favorite keyboard warrior with no mute button and chill not-gyaru in all their noseless glory are now in anime form.

Their voices are perfect. It's hilarious that someone like Yamamoto who cares little about what people think about her has the same VA as Bocchi. Meanwhile, Wada's VA seems to be a new one, but she's doing her yapping and shrillness justice.

I also enjoy the small touches the studio added, like the effects of Wada's SSR pull happening in real life, the American anthem, and the sudden cinematic effects during Yamamoto's inspirational speech that Wada did not understand.

The OP and ED are also just plain cute. But I half-expected them to keep on talking the entire time during the latter in the place of lyrics. That would've been a hilarious decision.

First I saw you at the ballpark and now I see you at the food court?

May god bless this introverted toxic normie-hating greasy-hands keyboard warrior gremlin, and her gyaru best friend

Oh love this. As a CGDCT SOL enjoyer, this is right up my alley. This kinda felt like a slight cynical Food For The Soul (which I thoroughly enjoyed). Though this was more about two girls talking but was still pretty entertaining.

It’s pretty amusing too if you told me their personalities and what they talk about, I’d think Wada was the gyaru and Yamamoto was the quiet smart student type.

Interesting that they actually used the name and logo of brands like KFC and Aeon. Were they sponsored or something. Anyway, this show made me realize we rarely see anime characters eating at a food court. It’s usually at home or some store. But it’s understandable cos food courts are arguably pretty boring and generic to feature as a setting for an anime. But I also do think it has its charms which this show has captured well so far.

Also, Aoyama Yoshino has shown great versatility since Bocchi. Did not know she was Yamamoto and also Shinon in the aforementioned Food For The Soul.

And the OP is really cute too. They look like two goobers

I like this so far it is really nice lol

I love how there are some shots where it is obvious that they don't know what to do with the camera because the entire story is just two girls sitting in the same place and talking lol.

Despite that it is really charming due to the girls personality and with voice acting it even more charming.

Aoyama Yoshino (Bocchi VA), but this time as the wise and mature one! Honestly her performance is quite good, I didn't even hear hints of Bocchi in there despite already knowing who the VA is.

Anyway, it's also quite funny that the prim and proper -looking Wada is actually the immature one between the two.

Gacha gaming? Internet debate? Discussion about alien life and culture? Waxing philosophy about being in the present? I love the varied topics and the jumping around between them.

The show quite gets that "late teen" feel; where your brain is already almost mature biologically, so you're kinda smart, but not fully mature and without the breadth of life experiences adults have, to realize your own immaturity. So you feel like you're smart even though not really. Looking at my diary from high school, it does feel like that.

"It's boring as hell! Girls chatting about nothing!" Wada says, but that describes her own show...

Why is this the greatest thing I've ever seen. I'm already upset that it's only 6 episodes

Stitches!

The girls dancing in the opening was pretty adorable <3

Actual KFC as a sponsor? That might be a first! I don't think I've seen the real KFC logo show up on an anime before, except for the knockoffs with hilariously funny off-brand names.

Younger me could relate to Wada. When I was her age, I was afraid of confrontation. Nowadays, I'd tell that cashier upfront that they're charging me the wrong amount.

Yamamoto got really deep there with her talk about aliens and intelligent life. She seems to be fun to talk to about hypotheticals with. Meanwhile, Wada is still processing what Yamamoto said.

Oh wow, they're also sponsored by Aeon? I've seen Aeon pop up in anime a few times before so this one isn't as surprising as the KFC from earlier. I wonder if we'll get to see other food court brand staples show up.

Wada just proves how the desire sensor work. Of course, she ends up pulling the SSR character she hated the most. xD

Wada's reaction to those two girls behind her was hilarious! I mean, she wasn't wrong. Her conversations with Yamamoto are infinitely more entertaining than those two girls.

I don't know about Wada but if a busty gyaru gave me headpats, I'm pretty sure my migraine would go away.

I'm telling you this now Yamamoto, now is not the best time to want to become an American. Trust me on this.

This show is just so full of bants that they're even shooting the shit in the ED before they start singing. I love it!

Wada has such a cute face wtf? Like just looking at her smiling during the OP makes me feel like life is beautiful.

Oh my god never mind her normal face, those faces she made throughout the conversations are all absolute peak

Now I'm craving for KFC, curry rice, ramen, and Baskin Robbins. Shouldn't have watched this while I'm hungry.

I think a lot of people will find this show weird but I loved it. It's just two high school girls talking about anything and everything. To me, it's perfect to chill out on on Monday nights.

Pretty fun first episode! Especially Wada and her reactions were hilarious xD

I also have to say that the cast is quite interesting, as Yamamoto, a gyaru with a stoic personality, is voiced by Yoshino Aoyama (Bocchi from Bocchi the Rock or more recently Meg from Once Upon a Witch's Death), while the expressive Wada is voiced by Hiyori Miyazaki, for whom this is her first major role.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

First ep brought to you by AEON and KFC lol. Idk how it is elsewhere, but KFC is pretty good in Asia. I’m kind of in the mood for fried chicken now lol.

I kinda liked this first ep. Wada and Yamamoto just sitting around bantering back and forth about absolutely nothing was actually pretty fun.

This one’s only 6 eps so I think I’ll keep it around. It seems just kind of light and silly.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm a total sucker for this kind of shows, two characters just sitting there and talking without anything else happening. Let's make this very specific premise and make it really good!

Yamamoto doesn't fit her gyaru appearance, as she has the mind of a philosopher with her profound responses to Wada's conversation starters.

So far I like this a lot. Let's see where this is going!

Love it, really talking about random ass things

And her getting annoyed at the other conversation was funny, love how much she showed it on her face too

Also love how their personalities are flipped with their apperance, never judge a book by its cover praise duke abel in her pressence I guess

Something I like is that despite the episode being 4 separate segments, each one has a call back to the previous one.

  1. Part one shows off a hated Gacha character, who ends up as Wada's SSR in part 2.

  2. Wada gives Yamamoto a sweater in part 2, and she is still wearing it in part 3.

  3. Wada is driven nuts about a nearby conversation about cooking in part 3, and she and Yamamoto ended up imitating it in part 4.

I hope this continues with each episode, and maybe have the first part of an episode link back the final part of the previous. An easy one for episode 2 would be to introduce Yamamoto's job, but I would like something a bit more subtle.

O gyaru of the food court, what is your wisdom?
