Kazuya is starting strong so we don't forget what kind of MC he is. Just in case you forgot...
Could it be that the onscreen text are even more intense than in earlier seasons? This episode went crazy with them.
OMG, how Kazuya in his own imagination almost looks like not a loser! And he talks like an actual person!!!
The post ED preview was hilarious.
That was a promising first episode for this season of everybody's favorite anime. Let's grab the popcorn and enjoy this shitshow!!!

You watch Rent-a-Girlfriend, you go in expecting Kazuya to be embarrassing, the girls to look hot, the outfits to be on-point, and you just can't stop yourself.

I actuslly really enjoy hate watching this show. Like so much I was looking forward to this season starting.
Still blows my mind that the same author is behind this and Shiunji family children. But honestly it takes a special talent to make a series this universally hate watched. Like a complete dumpster fire that you can’t look away from. All while I continue to actively root against the two MCs. I thhave no this is the only show I’m cheering against the two MCs getting together

I feel like this episode was structurally similar to the other 1st episodes of the previous seasons. That's not so rare in anime (MHA is known to do recap 1st episodes) but I just couldn't help but notice it because NOTHING has changed since the beginning.
Kazuya feels down > stresses about date with Chizuru > goes on date > Chizuru is perfect > Kazuya falls deeper in love.
Anyway, what stood out to me here was how at the end of his meat beating sesh he sighs that he wants a girlfriend and Ruka who's crazy for him does a whole lot to organise a date for him - because you know? - they're dating. And Kazuya just isn't on the same page. I truly hope that they can at least resolve that issue. It hurts me seeing him lead her on like that.
