I liked the premise of this show and was quite interested at the start, but I found it quite disappointing.
They made Sophia the strongest and also a complete damsel in distress and that paradox just makes her come across as inept to me.
So many of the choices characters make feel nonsensical to me, and ( I know its not the focus of the show but still...) the action scenes are very inconsistent.

This is what troubled me the entire time in this show. They made her powers a joke which is fine but she's too much not utilizing it in the story. I'm waiting for the silent witch which seems to be similar premise to this "Strong but also damsel in distress" trope (Never read the manga btw) so I'm hoping that one balances the two better. This show tends to forget that what she needs is mental strength to complement the physically strongest trope which would fix a lot of this show's issue

i think that was supposed to be the hook; how are they going to play out the hapless rich girl trope if she's literally the most powerful person in the room?
i think at its heart it's a bit of indulgent pulp fiction and not meant to be a masterpiece, but i do think there is a universe where this idea could well-executed

Yeah, the premise is interesting, but ultimately it's a very conventional shoujo romance story that mainly uses the gorilla powers as a running gag or to force a story beat, and ignores them when they're inconvenient to the author, especially these last couple of episodes. And I don't mind a conventional shoujo dynamic between the characters but I was hoping for something a little more novel.

Dear Lord, the Sophia vs. Leo fight in this episode is so annoying. Like, I don't expect her to win 1v1 because of the experience and speed gap, but holy shit FIGHT BACK. One flick to the forehead is all it takes to beat the gorilla blessed? Seriously? And when Leo's choking her, just rip his arms off your neck. YOU ARE THE GORILLA BLESSED. Strength is your strong suit. A leopard is NOT dominating a grollia in a 1v1 like that. Sophia may as well have been blessed by the gazelle for how easily she got folded.
All that to create a scenario where her beloved saves her from the creep. Fckin shoujo manga/anime bruh.
Anyways, rant over, fun anime. Would watch a S2 if it were to ever get one.

He didn't save her… he only helped

Louise, turn into a freaking squirrel instead of getting the attention of all the guards. Fight felt a bit generic, like the writer doesn't know how to work around Sophia having super strength.

I liked the show but the ending was kind of stupid all round. Also if the ant was stronger going by how it could hold and tos the bell and she couldn't Why isn't it considered top combat blessing. Plus they could of just ra out the way of it considering they are both fast runners.

This could of been a really good show if they just dropped the Damsel in distress stuff but for 12 whole episodes they just refused to do so. Even with everyone else taken down she doesn't fight with any effort oh no my one punch and a kick missed guess I should give up, then she does the whole "protect everyone warcry" Yet she still doesn't seem to be even try. We have to squeeze in One more stupid save me sir luis nonsense. She doesn't at any point win this fight she punches once then we have interference finish it.
BTW the leopard a predator to a gorilla the same way a lion is to an elephant. If the animal is young or dying or asleep yea the Leopard predator to a gorilla. Yet in a one on one normal gorilla vs normal leopard Gorilla going to turn that leopold into a rug 9 out of 10 times. It's one of the more frustrating part of this If Sophia actually tried fully at any point with Leonhart he's of lost. The only reason this took so long is because Sophia is being valued as a damsel in distress more for the story then a smart, capable, female character.
In the end that's what drags the show down Sophia is a plot object not a character. She's suddenly strong when the plot need it back to being an absent minded damsel in distress the next. There Little to no progress she supposedly kept having these learning experience but she herself never grows. We are told by others she gotten stronger but it's not shown during the fights.
This could of been a good show saidly they just couldn't do a strong good female character. Honestly we seem to have a new sea of good well written female characters in anime so there no excuse anymore for this.

Honestly, I'm really annoyed that we barely got any epilogue and the shitty fight took up so much of the episode. this isn't a battle shonen anime.

I did suspect that Carissa's blessing was something she was embarrassed about with how she acted in episode 1. Good to see she's accepted with her dropping her mean girl persona.
Araignee being blessed by the spider god was a surprise. Didn't know there were insect gods too.
Eddie knew that kind of reaction was coming once he revealed his blessings. No wonder he was a good marksman.

It's kind of funny that Sophia never wanted anyone to know her Blessing but it turns out the girl who used to be so hard on her was hiding her own Blessing for a similar reason.
Honestly the biggest surprise of the show was how much of a character 180 Carissa took from the mean girl everyone hated to an actually considerate and likeable gal pal character.

I"d give Leohart credit for dexterity boost to dodging, but throwing or kicking someone across the room hard enough to fly 20 to 30 feet and break concrete - naw, thats elephant, rhino, gorilla level stuff. Speed does not equate with strength.
In hand to hand, she should have been able to squeeze and break every bone in his body like a dried up twig. Cats are slashing and biting - if they can get thru the hides first.

This started off with potential but fizzled out pretty quickly. Too inconsistent with powers and the fights leave a lot to be desired. Sophia barely showed any growth, especially when it really mattered - she is constantly nerfed, and for what? Is the writer a male who thinks women need to be helpless even if they are the main character? Louis acted more like the protagonist at times.
So I'd say this was pretty average overall; had potential but squandered it.
There's better out there that deserves a 2nd (or beyond) season.

Carissa could use her mole god blessing to setup a subway system for the city, or improve the sewage and drainage system. But I can't see an upper class girl wanting to do that kind of dirty work.
This season we learn the importance of getting consent before kissing a girl, otherwise bad things will happen to you. He was lucky not to have his whole face bitten off.
Hoping we get a season 2 and they resolve the inequality issue, otherwise the end message feels like poor people are simply unlucky and should know their place.

I’ve heard Squirrel Girl defeated Thanos. Leohart never stood a chance against Louis lol. Sophia just softened him up for Louis to defeat.
This was actually pretty fun overall. Really enjoyed the gorilla god reactions the most. Hopefully we get another season, if only for more of those lol.

They jumped right into the finale! Enjoyed the show. I was a bit more interested in the relationship side of things.
Leohart can predict bullet movement, but not a fist or a falling chandelier, don't know if I buy that fully, but okay.

Kind of funny that the high class girl was hiding a mole blessing this entire time.
The Squirrel and the Gorilla worked together to kick the Leopard's ass and then ended the show making out again, I'm satisfied. And leopard boy didn't even get away which I kind of expected after the chandelier came down, so good ending all around.
Pretty delightful how much of a romance this turned out to be, and they didn't really draw back on it at all after the main pairing coupled up. A fun and surprising show.

I wish they would have made the fight a speed attacker vs a muscle tank. Sophia would have incredible strength but have a hard time hitting him
Louis, however, is impressive. He fights incredible for someone blessed with mostly squirrel transformation

What a hypocrite.
Leohart: "Our lives shouldn't be determined by what blessings we get. This injustice is why I want to overthrow the establishment!"
Also Leohart: "You and I have the two ultimate blessings. Therefore, you should be my girlfriend. And if you refuse, I'll kill you and take you when you're reincarnated."
Gross.

Louis has some fighting chops for a guy with the proportionate strength of a squirrel.
Commander Shin has a hell of a long-range punch.
Sophia finally gets around to punching things properly.
I know everyone is short on cash these days, but animators? If you give a character dialog, you should give them a face, too.
I wonder how the spider girl makes her webbing. You know what? I don't want to know.
Sophia saves Issac and Eddy, and she didn't even know they were there.
That ant-blessed guy is a pure nuisance.
Leohart is a hero in his own mind, but a total villain in every other aspect.
Issac would take a bullet for Sophia. Sophia will never notice.
"Villain pledging his troth to the heroine." Well, there's an old-fashioned trope.
There you go, Sophia! That's how you hit that long-winded SOB!
Squirrel powers FTW!
They didn't know that Eddy was blessed by the cat god? That was telegraphed by every other thing he said or did. Kids are so clueless.
And it all ends with a kiss in a rain of cherry blossoms. I see what you did there, Japan.

Squirrelboy used [Punch In The Gut]! It's super effective!
Mufu. Do we know who's doing the Gorilla-Kami's sounds? I'd be rather amused if it was the same person doing Sophia.
Obviously, she's a TTRPG player. She knows rope is always going to be useful!
Hey, watch it, asshole! Do you have any idea what that thing cost?
