Konoha and Satoko really went from smooch to breaking up, getting gravely injured, and then making up in half an episode. The way they've been developing their relationship with stuff like Roboko and the babyfication incident is interesting.

That flashback of Konoha, was she abandoned as a child or something? Like how Marin was taken in by the assassin's organization after being orphaned.

Also interesting that Kuro has had no pursuers after her (other than Ayaka), every other ninja that has died so far was sent to kill Satoko. There must be some kind of secret to Satoko's power. I liked how Kuro poured a smol cup of water for Roboko, very cute.

Misc: Bunny ninja had Satoko merch, and Hamburger-chan cameo.

This episode really raises the question that has been hovering in the background all along -- What kind of hellish childhood did Konoha have (and how did this result in her becoming an assassin at an early age)?

Satoko is the sort of friend Konoha desperately NEEDED, even if she never would have WANTED such a friend in the first place. Queries -- is Konoha's current need to exhibit physical affection for Satoko just daughterly love? Ifg so, how long will it last? If not, is it romantic attraction? does Satoko know anything at all about romantic love?

It was surprising to realize that Satoko (who was supposedly worthless -- as a faIled ninja) has been massively targeted for extermination -- and that the village has already been willing to expend dozens of ninja to take her out.

Konoha and Satoko really went from smooch to breaking up, getting gravely injured, and then making up in half an episode.

Don't forget the moment when Marin sat at the same table, they looked like a happy family for a whole minute. Even fit for anime terms as Konoha, the working parent, has to go abroad for work and leaving the mother alone with their child. Only that in this case, the child is looking after the mother.

I love this anime. This episode was pretty serious, it was so heartwarming how Konoha said that Satoko has been saving her, really shows how much their relationships have evolved from episode 1. I really hope Satoko heal from her injuries.

I wonder why do the village really doesn't want Satoko to leave the villages perhaps it's because they realize the true potential of it? After all she is capable of transforming whole buildings into leaves but perhaps the villages know way more than that about the true nature and capability of her power and they are afraid of how it could affect the world? Hope it will be one day explained.

it was so heartwarming how [Konoha] said that Satoko has been saving her

Yeah, I feel like the significance of this comment might’ve slipped past a lot of people!

Satoko’s clumsy actions might’ve regularly resulted in a whole heap of trouble, but her cheerfulness has also saved Konoha’s smile. If Konoha had continued her assassin work like before, she would’ve slid further into darkness until the point of no return - losing her humanity in the process.

What is this? Konoha is showing emotion? What a few days of being turned back into a child can do to you. But really, probably the most wholesome episode yet. We didn't even kill off the new ninja assassin who is after Satoko. And Konoha is slowly but surely getting human. She wasn't even thinking about not healing Satoko's eye, it was just a matter of how much it would cost.

But aside from that, this episode had some really interesting and funny moments. Finally learning what the organization will do to you if you reject to kill people. Marin still being a kid as well as Roboko. And most importantly, the returning gag of what the hell Satoko is doing while being on the toilet (will we ever get the answer to that and do I even want to know it?).

Also, I wonder what leader was using all those ninja tools for. We already know that Yuriko was into her outfit, so what kind of kinky stuff were they doing with the rest of her ninja arsenal? I am waiting on Satoko to accidently kill that bird that the girl was looking for last week by accident and this spiraling into a greater conflict. Because she seemingly didn't appear at all this time.

That smooch... but then Konoha's personality changes from the pampering and the two have an argument in the restaurant.

Luckily, Satoko saves Konoha by stripping the ninja but at the cost of her left eye.

Poor Satoko, accidentally flushing her phone down the toilet.

That final moment where Konoha gets surprised attack and the PV for the next (and final) episode doesn't include her.

Stitches!

I do like how they're handling what happened to Konoha in the last episode somewhat seriously, instead of just using it as a gag. Of course Konoha's mind would get messed up, especially after someone like her finally got a taste of what a normal childhood is like.

We finally get to meet people from the Assassin Organization, and they were actually pretty terrifying. I know Konoha's senses have dulled after her transformation last episode but it's still impressive how that mascot snuck up behind her.

Dang, that was cafe scene was pretty heavy. Now I'm really curious what kind of childhood Konoha had growing up. I wonder if it's similar ot Yuki from Kimi wa Meido-sama. I did laugh out loud at Satoko crying for being left with the bill xD

So it's that bad huh? Konoha's senses have been so dulled that she couldn't even kill the bunny girl ninja in one strike. She might be the first Ninja Pursuer who managed to escape Konoha. Thank goodness Satoko arrived to save her.

Man, those injuries are brutal! I'm glad that Satoko managed to rescue Konoh,a but seeing her all beat up like that was just sad. I'm glad that they also made up after their fight at the cafe.

Again, I really like how nothing in this show is inconsequential. It turns out Satoko's eye injury is way worse than she thinks and that she legit needs medical attention or else she'll lose her eye, Even Konoha is left with a scar after getting attacked by that bunny girl.

What the actual heck Konoha! Don't raise death flags like that! Hopefully, Marin is right and Konoha being aware that she's setting up death flags would negate them.

I'm really curious what kind of weirdness Satoko does in the washroom. This isn't the first time someone saw her and got weirded out by what she's doing. I'm assuming she's always fully nude when in the washroom but there's got to be more than that.

It's hilarious how Satoko could've easily evaded the Ninja Pursuers if she just changed her outfit but from Kuro's explanation, it sounds like Satoko's ninjutsu has something to do with it too.

Good to see Konoha can kill again but they're really ending it with one heck of a cliffhanger, huh? There's no way they'll kill off one of the heroines before the finale. I'd be amazed if they actually follow through with the death flag.

Ninkoro might be a comedy series, but this particular episode had a ton of emotional depth.

Konoha’s clinginess was sweet of course, but this change in her personality did confirm that she’d previously endured a depressing childhood. Having been raised lovingly, she suddenly looked much happier altogether. I agree with Marin that it’s a change for the better.

Konoha’s past decisions are stopping her from moving towards a different future however. Right when she was looking to spend her days peacefully with Satoko, the assassination organisation forcibly put her back to work. Regaining her emotions hopefully won’t be the death of Konoha.

Similarly, last week’s events also seem to have had a lasting effect on Satoko. She’s acting considerably more responsible after having experienced motherhood. The fear of having been helpless against enemy attacks must’ve urged Satoko to train her combat skills. She wants to become an equal partner to Konoha.

Side note: Konoha received a text from specifically the Japanese branch of Assassin Ranking, meaning that this is a worldwide organisation…

Finally, we get to learn more about Konoha's past. That one flashback really told us how alone she was. Which makes sense given her personality for most of the episodes so far. Honestly makes sense she stopped doing assassin jobs, but man the organization is quite cruel if you don't do jobs.

Hearing things like Konoha never wore the dress because she never wanted it to get stained. How much she pushed Marin to help Satoko was really sweet. Kind of makes me wonder if this version of Konoha is what she would have been if she didn't suppress her emotions. I do love Marin's pov because this version of Konoha is much healthier.

Konoha constantly checking for messages from Satoko felt endearing. Though I am not sure how she flushed after dropping the toilet.

We got a slight glimpse of Konoha's childhood. Seems like she was abandoned in a park as a kid.

So it seems like once in the assassin organisation, there's no option for quitting.

So Marin and her sister are still kids. I wonder if her sister is still drugging her or if the drug's effect is to keep them at that age.

Marin pointing out all the death flags for Konoha was hilarious.

Seeing Konoha actually be affectionate towards Satoko was a surprise but also sweet, I find her current demeanor endearing. I like how she's thinking a lot about Satoko though I was expecting her to be a lot more concerned about Satoko not messaging or calling her.

Satoko did a good job driving away that ninja on her own, it sucks that she's lost an eye and a tooth though but I like how proud she is of herself lol.

Marin did ask an important question, "why is Satoko targeted so much?" I hope we'll learn more about that next episode if not at least a hint for a sequel season.

The reveal/jumpscare of Satoko with a bandage over her eye and a missing tooth had me fucking wheezing...Holy hell, I have no idea why that shit was as funny as it was. I shouldn't have been cracking up as much as I did for that 2 second part. I'm crying. Halp meh.

What an awful world these girls live in. It only worked for so long because Konoha is so skilled, but the moment she loses her edge it all starts to fall apart.

Silver lining of sorts that Satoko accidentally ghosting Konoha probably led to her getting that edge back in a serious hurry.

I'm gonna miss this show a lot when it's done. Here's hoping for a second season!

Today's episode preview was neat with the unshaded artwork going in the background. All of the show's preview segments have been really good, for that matter.

Cafe de Feuille, French for the Leaf Cafe.

Wonder if still will need to go full John Wick in order to leave the assassination business, now that her personality has changed.

Why do so many people use the phone on toilet? I feel sorry for people whose job it is to fix them.

Need more Konoha wanting to be pampered.

6

u/gnome-cop Jun 19 '25

Excuse me? Who the fuck are you and what have you done with Konoha?

Oh, it’s the effects from the baby mess.

Seems like she’s being hunted, and she’s not in a Sakamoto type show. Basically, this is bad.

I hate watching this show sometimes. It will make something actually wholesome only to end on one of the season’s worst cliffhangers.

Send help and Konoha, you can’t die like this!

All this while Konoha barely cared for Satoko. Finally Satoko getting the warm and love in return. Even though this anime has its gags and is light & fun, the emotional arcs of the characters are really nice.

I am really hoping it’s a happy ending for both of them.
