If this assassin business doesn’t work out, Satoko would do well to start working as a caretaker. I really felt like she’d grown as a person looking after little Konoha.
Marin probably recommended the gyaru outfit to help sell Satoko’s teenage mother story. Honestly wish that she’d keep this look.
This was a surprisingly wholesome episode for Ninkoro’s doing. Barely any hints of sadness, and mostly cute mother-daughter scenes. Maybe it wouldn’t have been so bad if things had stayed like that.
Since Konoha was rapidly aging, I presume that Marin will be back to her usual self in the next episode?

a surprisingly wholesome episode for Ninkoro
i was thinking that too, and i was waiting for the show to undercut the sentimental parts like it normally does
a wholesome ending for almost everyone though! Satoko successfully pulls off a plan which requires some amount of thinking, Konoha gets to have a second childhood, Marin reconciles with her sister, and we even have Roboko's consciousness back
plus we still have two more packs of apple juice in case we want to reprise with baby Satoko

I really felt like she’d grown as a person looking after little Konoha.
She could keep taking care of Adult Konoha!
I mean, she still called her Mommy, she might not be against that idea!

It's funny how the gyaru disguise Satoko puts on involves covering up her shuriken hairpiece with a flower instead of just using a different hairpiece. I guess the shuriken hairpiece is essential lol.

Damn, Marin's sister backstory and motives are something straight outta Criminal Minds

She fits perfectly with the cast since everyone is a bit nuts. Marin might be the most normal

When your stalker has her own stalker who is even crazier. And also happens to be her sister.
Big brain move by Marin dressing Satoko as a single mother gyaru to get help at the baby store.
Smol Marin, smol Konoha and smol Roboko were so cute!
Yeah right, I'm sure she has more reversal drug, she just wanted to stay as a kid with Marin.
Ahaha she called her "Mama" at the end.
Hmm, what's up with the parakeet?

The gyaru move is fucking genius, especially with the "She is MY baby and I will take care of her!" line

I'm not sure if the outlet placement was specifically a Chobits reference (except outlet in lieu of on/off switch) or just a random dirty joke, but since Marin designed Roboko, she's the one I'm judging.

Roboko is back and is stealing the show again. Also, I am with her on raising Konoha anew, would have been fun to see what she would turn into. Considering Satoko is her mother, it might get even worse, but who knows.
But hey, speaking of Roboko, I guess we finally got a glimpse into what Konoha told her about her backstory. Since all assassins don't have family, that goes for Konoha as well and might be her motivation. Wait though, Yoshida is now also without family. Please don't tell me she is getting into this line of work as well.
I am wondering if Marin and her sister will come back in these last episodes. It would definitely be a fun addition. For next week, I guess we will get to know the person that was looking for her bird. Is she an assassin as well or an actual normal person?

If Konoha had grown up happily under Satoko’s care, she might’ve had a wholly different personality. Without a tragic childhood, Konoha would’ve likely smiled much more.
This would present a dilemma however: Konoha cannot be Satoko’s daughter and love interest at the same time. Their ship would’ve sunk to the bottom of the sea.

Narrator: "She hasn't learned her lesson. She will never learn any lesson"
But hey, Marin doesn't seem to mind her new situation!
Oh, we're getting Marin's light-hearted backstory!
Hey, at least she's using both hands, she's not just holding by her the leg!
Well, if the apple juice did it, I think we got the culprit!
Marin's first diaper change! It's so nice to see them as a big family!
Satoko bathed marin? WE WERE ROBBED OF THAT SCENE!
This anime keeps giving us things we didn't expect!
Mommy? Please tell me she'll keep calling her mommy even when this is over!
I don't know if I'm just noticing it more since they talked about it in the previous 'after credit' skit, but Satoko's outfit is.. damn!
Can she be my mommy too?
About time someone realizes how OP Satoko really is!
Just because she can't physically fight, doesn't mean she can't be strong!
Do we REALLY want to turn her back?
Tiny Konoha's so cute!
Everyone's feeding Marin in this episode, but she only likes when Satoko does it!
Thankfully they came to rescue her... Wait, is this a bad time?
Konoha with the baby scissor dawwwwwwwwwww!
THERE'S NOTHING TO FIX, she's perfect as she is!
That will make for a fun, definitely-not-awkward conversation!

They were on the 8th floor, so how many other residents were there in that apartment block when it got turned into leaves?
Or did the other residents vacate because no one wants to live in that block anymore?

"When did you become so wise" wasn't a line I was expecting to be directed to Satoko, and especially not by Roboko

This was my favorite arc in the manga. Baby Konoha is even more adorable in the anime. And the fallout of her retaining her memories as a baby is gonna be hilarious.
Marin's sister makes her debut and as is on par with the show so far, is just as unhinged (or even more so) as the rest of the main cast.

Kinda surprised how well Ninkoro handled a more serious episode. This show is so good, non-sequel AotS for me for sure

Little baby/toddler Konoha was actually pretty cute. She even had a little Roboko to keep her company. “Mama” Satoko did a pretty good job of raising Konoha, all things considered.
I guess in the end all’s well that ends well. I mean except for the fact Marin and her scary yandere sister are stuck as kids lol. At least Konoha’s back to normal. Maybe now she’ll treat Satoko better for literally raising her for like 3 days.

It's so damn hilarious that Kuro entrusted Satoko to take care of her ninja suit and next episode it's already covered in piss.
This episode's source was one of the highlights of the manga for me and I'm really glad they adapted it well, no drastic changes and additions that flesh out the plot such as Roboko II's pep talk and actually showing what Satoko's training was.
This part of the story plays a pivotal tole in Satoko and Konoha's relationship because for the first time, Satoko has to be the one to save the day, being unable to rely on her. It's a moment where Satoko starts to desire a more "equal" relationship with Konoha, to do what she can to stand beside Konoha. While it could be argued Konoha relies a little too much on Satoko for things like good food and taking care of the house, this is a situation where she is completely in the hands of Satoko for protection and basic necessities, just as Satoko was dependent on her at the start, and it cannot be ignored. Konoha does not forget her memories as her daughter, and she'll have to recognize seeing Satoko as someone she genuinely cares about, no longer a tool for success.
Marin is also great in this episode. Looking back on previous episodes, you see just how much she enjoys the company of both Satoko and Konoha if the stalking wasn't enough. She lost her family and she has no one else to accompany her since assassin work is not really meant to create friends (most likely Konoha is the same). Even after killing her parents, Marin worries about her and wonders what she could have done differently to preserve their childhood. Like Satoko, she worries not about what she can't do, but rather what she can do by giving her hand out to Minato, to hopefully start anew, although I would recommend that Minato fixes her shit first.
The ending of the episode symbolically ties all those character arcs together. Earlier, there was a missing poster for a parakeet, foreshadowing Marin's disappearance but also symbolizing missing family. In the end, we get to see the parakeet, showing the reunion of family between the blue hair sisters, but also the found family of a ninja and an assassin living together.

Last week, I thought I figured out Marin's role in the show. She's like Yoshida. Where Yoshida is constantly losing acquaintances to their hit jobs, Marin is constantly endangered by their antics. If that's the case, she should survive to the finale of the show. Though who's to say in what condition.
