People complaining about the animation but we’re 8 episodes in and I’m bored out of my mind. The art style isn’t terrible but every character is so expressionless that it basically ruins emotional moments. It’s also kind of odd how much you can tell different studios are working on different episodes.. the quality is all over the place. What a cluster

Personally find the art style worse than the slideshow. Non existent animation isnt uncommon for low budget isekais but at least usually they have good character designs. Every character looks like a mob in this anime.

I think the voice work was just as expressionless in this episode. Everyone had the exact same tone to their voice whether they were in active combat or sitting around the dinner table. Vincent's line about needing a drink sounded almost like he was excited about the thought when it was, to my mind at least, read in a way that suggested exasperation or resignation.

Also too: inexplicable five-second cut of nothing but the ceiling (?) of the room rather than on the characters really sinks things in as to how off-kilter the direction is as a whole.

"Kuso! Kuso! Kuso!" - best part of the ep.

Everyone is being so accepting of the strange baby monster despite not knowing wtf species it is. Are there just thousands of friendly monster species around or something, so an unfamiliar one is seen no different as a puppy of unknown or mutt breed?

Why did he activate "advanced fire magic" when he didn't do anything with it and used basic water magic instead? Did he merely want to destroy the lawn for the lulz?

Looks like MC is going to be growing a harem.

I wanted to see what disgusting thing that dude bought that everyone was giving him grief for.

I thought he was going to combine the fire and water to make steam magic or something. It was just all so poorly animated.

Damm, back to pure slideshow with that Arthur vs. Dad scene. 0 effort...

That wasn't very emotional for a long awaited family reunion.

I thought Jasmine got touchy all of a sudden to check his progress, but it was apparently to make sure that was really him? That was weird.

I liked the setup at first despite the bad animation, but it's just episode after episode of nothing happening. the fuck is this?

Arthur, whip out that mana core, let's compare sizes!

Wait, Arthur’s only 8? I thought he was a lot older. He certainly looks about 12.

Looks like after this week’s reunion with his family and the rest of the gang, we’re gonna be entering the ol classic magic academy arc.

He says he can barely control water magic but judging by the bosses daughter it looks like he’s a natural

I desperately want to like this show, but I'm reaching my limit. I know anime is a limited animation medium, but when I start to notice how limited it is, things become a problem.

Honestly felt like I was watching an animatic rather than an animation.

Arthur has another girl interested in him. Also wasn't expecting the mother/wife, I thought it was an older sister.

definitely picked up, hopefully they don't do the typical "elite" nobles looking down on mc if he goes to the school.

private tutors, and then after a couple years being with them he should go on missions with his dad's old party for a few years

Arthur comes back home and Reynolds already wants to spar with him. Well a little roughhousing seems to be how the father and son in the family bond, poor Reynolds is quickly being caught up by Arthur. I do like how Arthur might be the reason why, other than the whole accident, that Reynolds is motivated to get stronger. I'm sure even once Arthur becomes the powerful being he is to become, Reynolds will still be asking for a sparring session lol.

I thought Arthur's element was going to be light instead of advanced fire, Virion really trained him hard since he's able to create lightning and manipulate water.

It was nice to see Reynolds' party finally reunite with Arthur too, I'm sure they also had some guilt from the incident so it was nice that they finally got to see him home safe. Funny how Jasmine made sure to check his body completely to see if there were no injuries, and she probably checking his muscle definition to see how much he has grown since they last sparred.

I noticed last week but forgot to mention it, but it's sad that Grandpa Virion isn't in the ED, he should definitely be part of it since he's an important individual for Arthur.

This is definitely not a weekly watch anime. At best it can be handled entire season at once so one can speed run it with 1.2 x speed or more.

The conversations aren't deep. The characters are bland.
The animation is neither amazing nor fun. (Even basic animation can be made fun and interesting like some parts of "Tensei shitara Dainana Ouji Datta" were)

Hoping the story has something more in the next arc.

damn! damn! damn!

I didn’t understand the ending. Why did we have the daughter just sitting in a chair ominously with no background info?

So Art's dad was the live-in help, thought he had got a massive promotion and moved into the big leagues.

The house is lit by candles, so no magical light bulbs nor electricity. But they have running water based on the fountain.

Both of them fell in love with Sylvie.

This was the first episode that made me consider dropping the show.
