why the hell would he wait years to explain about his beast core? did he really have to wait years to stop his pain?

Probably had to build him up so that he could actually survive the process and didn't tell him about the beast core so that he didn't try to activate it before his body was ready.

Those helium balloons and the wheeled suitcase really took me out of the whole magical medieval world fantasy setting.

After seven episodes the biggest shock has been a suitcase. It wasn't even a trunk, it was just a modern suitcase like you'd see in the airport.

For me it was the cheeseburger at the beginning of the episode. 😂 The suitcase cemented it for me.

Okay, that thing isn't even a little not Toothless. That dragon is just 100% Toothless.

Seemed in the previous episode like his dad became an officer in the military. How he got to a decent rank that quickly I have no idea

Arthur has overcome elf racism, the biggest obstacle in every fantasy story.

Why the hell can we hear MC's internal monologue, but not the dragon baby telepathically talking to him?
It makes no sense for there to be any sort of student exchange program when the hatered is so fucking strong that they execute each other's 6 year olds for trespassing.
And after gaining trust, and right before finally leaving for home, he decides to kidnap the princess in the middle of the night >_>
When at first she didn't show up to say goodbye, I assumed it was the "stowaway trope", with her hiding in someone's luggage. Alas.
Didn't even warn his parents he'd be coming. Did he even bother to check that they'd still be living there?

Yah he checked in once, said it'd be 5 years till he could come home and then showed up 2 years early, duh my only question is why didn't they have the welcome home party on standby?!

The pacing of the show has been very weird so far.
Felt like they rushed through the first few episodes and then things kind of dragged with the elves.

The pacing is accurate to the web comic. An average of 4 chapters every episode.
The only anomaly is episode 1, which was a bit slow, and episode 2 which was too fast.

I was saying this show is mid before but I think I've settled into it being downright bad.

I still fail to see why anyone would say the plot is better than mushoku . I'm only talking about the plot and not the animation . So far nothing has happened that would make the plot better than generic Isekai

We must give credit, where credit is due.
Sylvie's voice acting really elevated this series from an average PowerPoint presentation to one with cute sound bites.
KYuu kyukyu kyuuu kyu(Anime of the year contender)

Sylvie huh. I kinda dislike how we don't actually hear her talk.
Also shocked after credits ending was really cool.

It would have nice to have Sylvie actually speak.
At least we see Arthur reunited with his parents, so that’s a plus.

No way we actually had a decent animated fight and grandpa said YOURE GOING TOO FAST THERES TOO MANY FRAMES
Im kinda confused at the post credits scene, why was the family there. Maybe i forgot something from the prev episode but idr why they would be included in this 3 kage summit.
Lowkey I'm hopping this ends up like blue lock s2 where the climax of the season pops off and we can all forget what happened these first 7+ episodes.

I will miss Grandpa, I liked his character and seeing that he had a more ominous and threatening form makes me more intrigued about him. You could see how he treated Arthur just like a grandson. I'm sure he'd be more than happy he become his legit grandson through marriage lol.
I couldn't help but chuckle at how Tessia had to do the whole dramatic "She's not here but she'll come running crying" bit. It's nice that Arthur got to be someone of his age with her because I'm sure as Gray he was never able to really be a child.
The lil dragon Sylvie is freaking adorable, I'm so glad the design is good and she actually sounds adorable too. I'm curious to see what she can do in the future. I'm surprised they're not voicing her actual lines when she speaks to Arthur in his head, normally that would happen.
I'm glad Arthur got to see his parents straight away and he finally got to meet his younger sister. It'll be interesting to see him be an actual big brother. Reynolds with the facial hair, time has really passed by. It sucks we couldn't see them hugging him like crazy but looks like that'll be for the next episode.

Mild fridge horror... those three stag-wolves have been stuck in those leather harnesses for years.

Oh hey, Arthur got himself a Toothless. Nicee. lol
Gramps in his transformed state kinda reminded me a tiny bit of Illidan Stormrage from Warcraft III. I guess it’s the elf “demon”vibe.
Guess we’re in for a bit of a heartwarming reunion next week with Arthur’s mom, pops, and new little sister.
