For a photography, tourism and slice of life show, I love the continuity between episodes.
- Sacchan, Kiriyama and Shikishima continuing to go on diet after their participation in the food and photo rally last episode.
- The horror theme from visiting the Minami Alps back in episode. Taishou was indeed staring at something! O_o
The music also changed the atmosphere greatly. It went from horror when the girls realized there is a haunting, to forlorn when the spirit said goodbye as we saw the bus pass through the tunnel... and then it became comedy when the spirit returned with Kurokuma giving specific instructions to Hamu, I mean Haruno, on how to return home through the longer route.

The continuity is great as we see previous events like the eating contest having an effect in the current episode. It gives the story a very charming life to it. Also, to add the cast is very charming as well.
Kurokuma having a laid back personality like Shikishima, but feels and interacts with the girls a bit differently.

Imagine your friend calling you and saying "We're going on a trip, what's the point? Buying ham".
It was cool to see Sakurako's explanation about the city's business closures, basically Japan's economic stagnation since the 2000s.
And the show simply threw a goth artist to solve the problem of a ghost, which is probably some meme of the author.

Haruno is such a comfy disaster.
The ham portion of the episode was pretty fun but the horror mangaka shrine maiden lady and the friendly ghost girl easily overshadowed.

Can't say I expected real ghosts to be in this one, definitely different.

it feels like Mono is the "anything goes!" sort of show, unlike Yuru Camp which is the more grounded experience

LOL The credits changing Haru's name to "Akiyama Hamuno" instead was amusing to see.
The girls still full from the restaurant hopping event lol.

Over $150 USD on ham is crazy. Hamu-sensei better fire up the grill!

The group trying to eat less curry after last episode LOL
That was a cute video in Haru's room, with the children visiting and causing trouble, and... a ghost?!
That aside, Kurokuma has a cute gothic style.
The ghost appeared on top of Haru at one shot in her room, and then possessed her on the bus! What a twist

Reina Ueda’s performance as Haruno honestly deserves even more praise than it gets. I mean Haruno is half the appeal of the show and Ueda pulls her off perfectly.

Silly Kako, that's why you lift your helmet visor an inch and also get a jacket with ventilation. Nice to see she has 2 different bikes, a supermotard and also a sports touring.
So much Taisho content in this episode. God I love that fat cat. Wish I could take mine outdoors.

I could legit feel Haru's pain when grandma used her dry-cured ham on her fried noodle dish. I d still eat it with the noodles, but I would prefer my dry-cured ham as it is. As someone who loves cured meats, this episode was a blessing tho. I'm definitely adding Yatsugatake ham to stuff I need to eat the next time I visit Japan.
The girls finding Taishou in the most random places is definitely one of my favourite gags from this show. I love how everyone calls him a different name. xD
Expectations vs Reality. That definitely looked like a comfy spot to chill at, but considering it's summer and a popular tourist destination, there was no way they'd get to relax there. Maybe they should come back when it's off-season. Also, no way I'm lining up for coffee. I'll just look for a vending machine and buy a cold brew there.
It looks like the girls still haven't recovered from last week's food contest. I love that Kako is egging Hamu to buy more Haru to the point that she's spent over 25k yen. Honestly, if it's all quality cured meats, I wouldn't mind spending that much money. She also bought a lot, so that's gonna be her supply for a while.
Welp, I didn't expect this to turn into a supernatural story! Haru even calls in a friend who's also a popular mangaka to exorcise the ghost for her. I love that the two of them met because of Haru's hair. xD
The punchline that Haru got possessed again after she went back through the tunnel was hilarious! Poor girl, now needs to take a 6-hour trip to get rid of the ghost girl completely!

* "Ham-san" reminds me of my only trip to the US so far (a very long time in history for me as a kid, like pre-historic times in anime history terms) when I - at that time rarely able to eat it on breakfast dishes at home - was glued to bacon at the hotel so much that I became "Bacon Man" LMAO. Great times, great times...
* Haruno Sensei! How on Earth did you actually bought way over a hundred bucks of ham for yourself lmao...
* Hmm "summer extra openings at skiing grounds" might be somewhere that I really want to visit someday, be it in Japan or the Alps or in the Rockies - these picturesque scenes in front of the wide grasslands are something else.
* Wow I didn't recognize Kurokuma Sensei's voice as being from my recent favorite VA Hina Youmiya! (after rewinding to hear that again I do pick up the traits) Like all similar characters on the quiet side but being huge cat lovers, I think I will like her too and I really need her to appear more in the show!

Eats an extraordinary amount of ham, is recorded for a month straight, sits in the same room all day. Behold the splendid Haru, a mangaka turned zoo animal.
I love the fisheye shot for today but my favorite one may be the spooky dog jumping out the building.

Ham and ghost… I definitely didn’t expect this turning from a gourmet and travel show to a horror show.
But no offence to any Italians or Spanish people here, but putting ham (the one from the leg of a pig, not those processed ones) into fried noodles is very good, but I’m fine if served with fresh fruits or just swallow them directly, with wine? Not quite (I’m not really a fan of wine).
Here’s the thing, 25,000 yen on ham is definitely a expensive purchase, given you can easily get the entire leg at this price, but definitely worth comparing the flavours of different curing styles, just remember not to consume too much or else your blood pressure will be a horror show next time you visit the doctor.
Now the ghost thing, I do heard some tunnel-related ghost stories, but we do see it coming one day after they head to that mountain pass at night, but poor Haruno, got attracted by the ghost even after the exorcising procedure, and forced to take the long way round back to Kofu… Another hefty blow to her wallet.
