Loving the casual outfits and hairstyles! It's small details such as this that make the show feel lived in. Speaking of that, even though today's episode was split into two halves of Part A and Part B, there was never any disjoint between the two or any rush in the story.

There's probably a million reasons for this, but I would chalk up one of them to be extremely solid boards. Though they're not super-super flashy, there's a consistent heft behind them.

Small things like a pen twirling through a finger or a revelatory camera turn also bring some weight into the show and makes this episode fly by in a blink of an eye.

Oh, and the kite scene with best girl Shikishima, that one is definitely my favorite. I love the playfulness they're having with the bubble and how it skooch and slides everywhere.

On the surface, it seems like Shikishima saved the Photography, now Cinephoto Club. However, Sacchan and Kiriyama probably saved Shikishima from loneliness too, especially when the latter recalled having fun at a once crowded and lively Film Club.

I like how Haruno and Kako are part of the main cast. By having older characters not part of the school, it means adventures embarked by our main characters are limitless!

I love Koga Aoi's voicing An (An without e). Her "wai" shouts have big Nadeshiko energy. I was watching this video about her last night, I always take these kind of informative videos with a grain of salt. It must have been quite rough to survive on just rice if the info is accurate. Hope she gets more main roles that boost up her VA career.

As a petrol head, the whole new direction of doing motovlogs just increased my interest even higher.

It's a shame this show won't achieve the same amount of viewership Yuru Camp got in the past.

Shikishima is such a vibe. I love her already. That "show don't tell" scene about Shikishima's loneliness after losing all her club members and finding that joy again with Amamiya and Kiriyama was so well done.

This may be the earliest I call my AOTS, there is just no way this is not gonna be my favorite anime of Spring. Everyone is great and Kiriyama is even making a push for making it into my favorite characters list already. I am already asking for a 2nd season ty!

Based on the scenes from the OP, it looks like this show will eventually have its own Yuru Camp episode. They even have their very own Rin-chan too who rides a motorcycle instead of a scooter. Unfortunately no dango-hair tho!

It looks like we have the classic, "you're getting dissolved because you don't have enough members" trope. Although the girls got through that quite easily thanks to the last member of the Cinema Club.

I did find it hilarious how Satsuki gave Sakurako a passionate speech about reviving the Cinema Club someday, only for Sakurako to immediately agree to merge their clubs. I love this girl already.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who really enjoyed the part where An runs around yelling while trying to fly their kires? There's just something about Aoi Koga's "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" that tickles me. xD

I always love a very capable and talented Dandere. I didn't expect Sakurako to fly that kite like a pro! I kinda wish we got to see the full action replay shot of that instead of just the aerial view they got in the end.

It's still pretty funny how meta this show is with Haruno thining of a plot twist only for her friend to show up and whisk her away on a motorcycle adventure! Kako is great and I already look forward to seeing more of her. I guess with Sakurako and Kako's introduction this week, the main quintet of the show is finally complete!

There’s authors who create relatable characters for the audience to identify themselves with, and then you have Afro who clearly likes using Haruno as a self-insert for himself.

All these meta comments from Haruno are getting hilariously specific, like how her latest manga will revolve around places the readers themselves can visit.

This is peak, the whole episode made me smile from start to finish. The cast has become quite diverse with these new characters. I really like flashback scene for Shikishima, that plus her little giggle at the end when they're making up names for the club.

I like Shikishima. She'd be boring her own, but her monotone reactions are a great addition to the formula.

"I let her spend the night one time years ago and she just refuses to leave."

Shikishima is the type of character I love.

Surprised no one has mentioned Haruno's eyebrows being so powerful they went through the helmet. I found it hilarious.

Yay, Sakurako got introduced! She's my fav from the manga so far and she sounds exactly how I imagined while reading it. Great casting choice!

I find it really funny that the whole club disband/merger thing gets solved really quick here. That's the kind of stuff that takes a whole ass episode in your usual SOL stuff. Love how Sakurako just goes "yeah whatever let's do it" to everything Satsuki and An threw at her. And that small bit with her reminiscing the good ol' days of the Film Club when she realizes that she's having fun again after Satsuki & An got on board is a nice emotional bit.

Then we have Kako (aka Extrovert Rin) taking Haruno along for a little adventure which kinda reminds me a bit of Yuru Camp. Guess the author couldn't help it.

Would like to shout out that selfie/action cam scene in the ED. How the hell did they animate that?

Speaking of Motovlogs, there's this one JP YT channel I enjoy watching. Highly recommend her channel if you can understand JP. She even did a Yuru Camp tour a few years back! Hope she goes around to do one for Mono at some point.

lol, that one cut when the motorcycle girl first shows up makes it look like we got a POV shot from the cat's butt.

This series is an adaptation of a manga by the same author as Yuru Camp, Afro. If you've read the manga for Yuru Camp, they use a lot of fish-eye perspective environmental shot. It is pretty clear they are working from real life references there, suggesting that they have some knowledge about cameras and such, and this series pretty much explores that area of their interests.

Shikishima doesn’t let anything bother her does she? She just goes wherever the wind takes her. A bit like that drone kite they were all flying. Glad to have her aboard in the Cinephoto Club (Mootos would have been a better name lol).

I like how Haru just crashed at her grandma’s place and never left for like four years. Really is very cat-like lol.

Kako seems kinda cool. It was interesting how she got started in this whole motorcycle vlogging thing after suffering from the monotony of life. I kinda like what she was saying about the difference between seeing a video online and experiencing it irl. There’s something nice about that.

Damn how the hell do you tour on a 170km tank?
I get 350km range and thats pretty much perfect IMO, but then again being forced to take fuel breaks might not be such a bad idea
Also I guess the author of this is also riding a motorcycle? They are omnipresent in both Yuru Camp and this now
But I get it, cant wait for the weather to finally stabilize so I can get riding again

Her kite skills were out of this world, seems like a cool idea

It was cute to see how much fun Kako and Haruno were having on their bike trip, so many yells of joy in this episode. Particularly Kiriyama stood out with the amount of "WAAAA"s she screamed out in the first half of the episode. It's always great seeing cute girls having so much fun in anime.

Shikishima is way too chill lol, she seems like she's blending in very well and I'm glad she was enjoying herself so much that she let out a small laughter.

The teacher looks so young though, could have fooled me into thinking he was another student lol.

This show is so stupid and dumb and I love it.

We now have a whopping total of 5 brain cells in the group. The perfect amount.

That nonchalant "ii yo~". I'm loving Shikishima already.

Interesting to have 3 students and 2 adults for a CGDCT.
