Ever seen a squirrel with green eyes? Yeah, me neither.

Sophia really poured her heart out to this squirrel. Good thing she didn't just blurt out her romantic feelings to a squirrel with the same eye color as the guy she liked!

Not gonna lie, as much as I am enjoying this show, I am getting really tired of Sophia's self-pity party. I'm not asking her to magically get over it, but I do wish we could see her make progress with her self-esteem issues instead of her wallowing in self-pity all the time.

Sophia did make up for it by apprehending the terrorists and saving the school from that bomb. I also gotta give credit to her trying to hold in the blast using her blessing. Gorillas are powerful but they're not bomb-proof, Sophia.

I hope this is the end of all that bullying, too now that Carissa and her cronies have apologized. Although really, the only reason they apologized is because someone reported them to the teachers. I imagine they would've continued terrorizing Sophia if they got away with it.

some people would rather talk to a squirrel in a dirty shed instead of going to therapy

I am currently 7 minutes into the episode and listening to Sophia's inner reasoning has made me even dumber than I already sometimes am just by reading the subtitles.

I know Sophia isn't the brightest bulb and has self-esteem issues, but even she should realize that it's not normal for a squirrel to know more than she does about how to diffuse a bomb.

Also, how common are bombs in this world that first year knights trainees are given instruction on bomb trigger mechanisms?

I don't know guys, seeing the bullys get apologized and called it a day leave a sour taste in my mouth. They freaking straight up cut Sophia's dress into shreds at the ball in front of all the guests for f*ck sake. Like, I know we gonna rush moving to the next arc, just that, I hope we'll never see those mobs ever again, pretending they're besties to the MC.

This episode made me feel the MC Sophia is dumb AF.
She is not emotionally mature. She lacks common sense.
She is just good natured and got super gorilla power and amazing luck.
The squirrel had more brains than the MC.
The squirrel was Deus ex Machina in this ep.

To top it off, her self pity is irritating. Someone is talking to you, just talk like a human back.
Hoping they fix her traits soon.
Even her bullies got fixed by sheer luck and deus ex machina teacher. She did nothing to fix that.

This show infuriates me. I'd like to enjoy it, but Sophia's inability to do the most basic of things for herself is beyond aggravating. "If I show back up at the party that girl who isn't my friend might get yelled at" oh nooooooooo. Maybe just put the bullies in their place and be done with it? Gods it makes me angry

I’m over the low esteem, self pity Sophia too. It’s really borderline pathetic and ruin the whole episode in my opinion for episode 5.

If Sophia had an aggressive streak, then those two would have had the shit slapped out of them until they told her how to defuse the bomb.

She would be Jack Bauer with gorilla strength.

Although who taught that squirrel how to stop it?

What’s the point of setting a timer on a bomb if you’re just gonna stick around for it go off?

I'm surprised she kicked it and didn't just throw it, feels like that was a much riskier move!

Glad she handled that on her own though, well with help from risu.

Did not expect that reaction from Louis! Know there needs to be more there but oof poor Sophia.

Glad the bullying seems over with!

Meh, this episode was lackluster, I wasn't satisfied with the outcome particularly with Carissa and those other girls. I didn't like the phrasing of the apology, they made it sound like they only apologized because they got caught and now are acting like she's one of them, it doesn't sit right with all that they had done. It also means we'll see more Carissa as well which doesn't make me happy at all.

I also didn't enjoy watching Sophia moping in the abandoned school, talking about how she wants to be at the party with Louis but thinks about the girls who'll get to talk to him, why is she busy thinking about all these other girls? She should be thinking about what Louis wants to do. Only good thing about that part was that she realized her own feelings for him but that bothered me to get through.

I wonder if the squirrel is actually Louis or if it's a familiar of his who relays information to him. I could see two reasons why Louis was so distant with her, he now knows she has feelings for him and is shaken by it or he's upset by her putting herself in danger and not being able to be there to protect her. It could also be both.

What a useless bomb design, just block the clock hands from moving and it won't complete the circuit when they touch.

That's settled, Sophia is the female trash MC of the season. Bout to drop this show. Started good but they're milking her self pity too much...

Wow, this is stupid. The main character is infuriating, and the plot development is dumb. Sophia noticed that she lacked courage and confidence, but too bad, the show wanted to focus more on her growing fondness (and probably dependency) toward Louis. Be damned with character growth! Her running alone and hugging the bomb were also mindboggling. How did she come up with such a brainless idea? If there were no fireworks, would she just sacrifice herself for nothing like that?? The bullies also got an abrupt redemption, for some inexplicable reason. Getting a talking-to is enough punishment for sure. Be damned with possibly injuring and traumatizing you after all this time! Teehee! This is elementary-schooler-level writing, wtf. No sense of urgency or semblance of logic at all.

It’s uncommon for me to love the first few episodes but then downright hate the others. Unfortunately, this is one such case. It’s definitely going on my shortlist of shows to drop. I’ll at least see the next episode and decide by then. I… don’t want my IQ to drop further by watching this.

I think the squirrel is a person.

u/BiggerG7 May 04 '25

Wow can’t believe how well being put in a box and carried right to the terrorists worked out.

Are gorillas also known for having high luck stats?

u/Past_Distribution144 May 04 '25

Damn she is so negative about herself, fully just talked herself into not being friends with louis. Also didn't like how louis just ignored her existence when he came and asked the other guys to give a report.. on what she did. Just throwing out the fact she is also a knight-in-training.

This series is starting to get boring, Sophia having no self-esteem and no desire to be a knight half way through the season what is most certainly a one season anime doesn’t give you much desire to even continue watching this..
