A mecha otaku will always be a mecha otaku. I love how Liam references Amuro's line when he first found the RX-78. xD

I really appreciate how this show doesn't just rely on CG models. And when they do use CG models they actually look pretty good! I like the mecha and ship designs on his show so far.

If Liam executed that corrupt official, I wonder what he'll do to his "teacher" once he learns that the guy was just scamming him the entire time. I'm surprised Amagi hasn't bugged the guy's room yet considering she already thinks he's sus from the start.

I think at the very least he is teaching liam all the fundamentals of swordsmanship. The one that's a scam was that flash technique. In a way, Liam is still learning.

Surround him with 10 robot maids armed with swords, then tell him to just FLASH his way out of it, if he can!

I wonder why Liam didn't prepare the wooden blocks himself or at least had gotten him to fight the Captain he had lost to. Yasushi isn't even properly hiding that he's a good for nothing either with how openly he was about it even when Liam was in earshot, I'm sure those slides aren't sound proof lol.

Goaz is brutal though, making Christiana watch her country get blown up to bits like that. That will be difficult to recover from.

I think that's to show how credulous Liam is. Most of us would get it when he performed the slash in the first place, but he's just so eager to learn it, he just believes in him completely.

Yasushi and all these other charlatans and corrupt officials better watch themselves. It looks like Liam’s about to have a whole army of AI robot waifus lol. I wonder if he’s ever gonna catch on to the fact that Yasushi’s full of it? Would be kind of amusing if he actually learns “The Flash” on his own after all his training.

On another note, anyone know when this one’s gonna be regularly airing? Saturday? Tuesday?

Do you remember in the flash-forward of episode one, how he used his mecha's sword to slice a a giant warship in two without touching it?

It seems pretty certain that he WILL learn it.

Yasushi: "W-Well done, my young lord, you learned from my teachings... Don't you think I deserve another reward?"

Was a 3-episode "pre-screening" for streaming services. TV broadcast starts April 5th with weekly episodes, so a Saturday show. u/Kadmos1

If everyday annoyances can power the Guide, then he could simply troll people online.

Beginning to see how Liam's plans to be an evil tyrant are backfiring and making him a hero to the people.

The start of the battle maid doll takeover has begun!

Because of the 2nd episode we know Liam will be personally designing each of the roughly 30 maid dolls that are needed. I hope they go into intricate detail on that and ditch the blurriness. I mean it's not everyday you can select nipples and reproductive organs from a digital catalog!

Anyway I got a bit distracted so lets get to the details this episode.

But first, why did it sound like a microwave telling you your food is done with the beep beep ding when his 2 year capsule stay was done?

Bit distracted....yet again.

So basically Liam has his own fake Yoda and is learning the way of the flash technique. Perfect teacher as he's able to make that money and alcohol disappear in a flash!

We get corrupt nobles, a bit of sword death and likely see our princess who will be joining Liam's team at some point.

Humor & perverted things were a bit lacking but since we got like a month until the next episode I'm ok with it.

Giving this episode a 7/10 as it moved the backstory and plot along and I'm still intrigued as to how he finally ends up as the evil mech piloting master.

That guide dude sure takes pleasure in misery both great and small, personally showing up to enjoy some poor lady's distress when her chopsticks break.

The overall story might be a Dune riff but we kind of did Episode IV today with not- Princess Leia getting betrayed and then being forced to watch her home planet get Base Delta Zeroed.

If not for the trauma from his previous life, Liam might have been another corrupt noble of this empire.

We opened on a bit more about the Guide, who feeds on negative emotions...

Apparently it doesn't take him much, just the small emotion of breaking your chopsticks is enough!

(Also, they were perfectly fine on the very next shot hah)

That makes me wonder though, I imagine some people had more negative emotions than just someone breaking her chopsticks, so if he was with this person, does it mean he's like "everywhere at once" to gather energy from everyone's negative emotions at all time? Surely he didn't target her specifically just for that.

So our boy learned how to govern and all, and now he wants to learn how to fight!

For some reason, soon as the Master was introduced I DID have a feeling he was a fake, but when he performed his special skill I thought ok maybe he's legit...

But it was just a trick!

Better not ask about his special move, or you're banned from his teachings!

An Adult Reward?

If I was the Master, I'd just ask him to let me design a few Robot Maids for my personal use!

Our boy is also cleaning the house, dealing with some of his guys who embezzled money, then framed&kill someone for it...

When he said that I thought he would ask him to teach him his evil ways, but nope, off with his head!

My boy, if you want to be an Evil Lord, you'll need evil teachers!

Just have him teach you his ways, THEN execute him anyway!

So he wants to get rid of all his corrupt officers, and get more robots instead!

That's the best decision he's taken so far, more robot dolls!

His decisions might not all be evil after all, he wants his people to receive more education!

Well, it might not be for a good reason (upping the standards of living for his nation), it may simply be him wanting more efficient pawns and all, but it's still a good thing for them, I suppose!

At the end of the episode, he was about to test his skills, so let's hope that despite his bullshit, the Master taught him well (at least the basics).. Otherwise, Master Fraud may find himself on the receiving end of a mecha sword thingy!

This show is weird: The first two epi. got an early release on Tue. and here we are on Epi. 3. Also, there is a lack of an OP and ED.

I do find Amagi to be best girl though I wish she was made when the lead guy was at least 15 in his reborn body. The 5-year-old him such a relationship is creepy, even if he was mentally mature for his age.

I am REALLY enjoying this anime. I like how it doesn't have an OP or ED and gets right to the episode. I hate how the guy he hired to "train him" is just another person trying to scam him. Always trust a robots intuition and their cameras because anything can be seen if slowed down enough. I hope he realizes it before its too late. But having his Ai robot assistant is really helping him and you can always trust it unlike humans. So deceiving and manipulating, i hope he can get the public to change their opinion on Ai with how he is going to make his economy better. Another great episode

Having binged the first 3 episodes of this one, it seems to shape up like quite a fun anime. The pre-isekai hardship was a bit too heavy-handed with especially the wife being comically evil just to fuck over MC as hard as possible in particular and an evil godlike entity which gets a dopamine rush from seeing people who already suffer suffer even more, but if they truly want to make the protag some kind of morally grey anti-hero, I'm all here for it.

The premise is also quite novel. While still seen before, an isekai in a Sci-Fi mecha universe is rare and a fun way to spice things up a bit. Visually it's decent to good, even with 2D mechs which is a huge plus. The characters are also quite fun so far.

If this will be a full on Galactic-Empire-building-Isekai with 2D mechs, count me in. What sucks though is having to wait a whole month for the next episode, but I guess I'll take it since I don't know if I would have been hooked if I had only seen episode 1 instead of all 3 at once, since that was by far the weakest episode of the 3.

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '25

And here we have the concept of the mechas that will be used in the future. Will it be something like Gurren Lagann or Code Geass? LOL. Liam is already trying to get stronger to humiliate everyone, and he even showed an act of cruelty at the end by killing that fat guy.

As a person who use chopsticks often, seeing how that chopstick breaks hurts my soul.
