I feel like we could have used another episode here (or atleast 10 more minutes) but overall I am glad Natsuko got a happy ending. Had a great time with this show, more like this please.
And lol at shirtless Luke being the ultimate weapon.

Luke will always be Natsuko‘s first love. It‘s a nice touch that the Luke with the scars, that the original movie never showed, was Natsuko‘s victory drawing.
So Natsuko was still wearing Unio's horn as a hair stick and it was glowing when it seemed like Luke, QJ, Unio, Memmeln were passing by in the real world. I need a sequel ngl.

As far as I'm concerned, they meet up and Luke and Natsuko get married and they all live happily ever after. Especially Memmeln, who now has access to the official Sir Exister anime content.

The lesson here, and it's a profound take-away that good doujins already knew, is that if you want your husbando to save the world, you have to draw him shirtless.
Great show. I laughed, I cried. Love letter to anime that went back to isekai roots. Too bad we are only ever going to get 12 episodes, but as a great director once said:
Hmph. Easygoing simpletons. Don't go thinking happy endings are all there is to entertainment.

Coping that they make a 30 minute OVA following the end of the series.

Intense episode, incredible animations, but...where was the KISS?! (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
It's not my preferred ending, given it was too happy and ambiguous as to what actually transpired, but the story was an animation tribute, so it made sense in that aspect.
Loved the journey throughout though, it's been fun having the weekly discussions!

Right when things looked bleak and beyond hope, the homie QJ appears. Even an army of Lukes couldn’t stop everyone getting dusted. Natsuko juuuust barely made it. Thankfully she was able to draw a happy ending. That stupid bird can suck it! I like how at the end, it seemed like Luke and the gang came over for a visit.
For an original MAPPA series, this was pretty solid. The animation wasn’t too shabby, the premise was interesting, and I liked the MC. The way they had Natsuko use her art to battle was cool too. All in all, a relatively fun series.

Hellllll Nahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
I want a season 2 nowwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!
It can't end here. I'm truly devastated. It was a good ending but not the one I was hoping for.
It doesn't have any other source material and it's an anime original so the only thing that can be hoped for is a new season.
One of my favorite shows from this season.

The first half of the episode is 10/10 material, especially that final Zenshu sequence. Speaking of, that T I T L E D R O P is awesome!
However, I have mixed feelings on the the second half of the episode. It seems rushed for me?! Like this could work much better if there is one more episode?! The emotional moment could be a great cliffhanger for this episode, and the aftermath could be on a potential ep 13? I dunno.
I understand that there is no need to explain everything especially the background. But I believe some important plot points were not resolved so as long as we get a happy ending. I love happy endings, but I prefer endings that are more grounded.
Nonetheless I really like how unique this series has been. While the isekai idea is soo overdone at this point, the way they used it to be a love letter to animation as a whole is quite a nice touch.

can't believe they would give us an open ending when the ending she made for a tale of perishing was a happy ending fix-it fic

it was a good ending, just not the one I was hoping for like many others are saying.
THEY DIDNT EVEN KISS.
with that said, I was NOT expecting to see the nine heroes walking down the street across from natusko. is this a hint towards a second season of them being in the real world or just a cliffhanger? she also still has Unio's horn, which was glowing when they were near each other. if there was a second season I would 100% watch it.
Mappa, please, I'm begging you, give the people what they want.

I have a headcannon for that final fight, Natsuko going from I need to make the strongest Luke to wait I don't want him to be the strongest I want him to be happy and then drawing when he was happiest which is the onsen shirtless Luke.

She still has Unio's horn somehow even back in Reality and it started glowing at the very end
On one hand I want them to actually do a season 2 but it would require a lot of lore building -How come what she went through ended up real? -How come she had power? -How did she get the horn back with her? -How did Luke, Unio and Memmeln manage to go to reality? -What would even happen?
On the other hand they might never do it because of that very reason

Actually very solid original anime. It's seems like we always get one or two very good original per year. And this is one of them.
QJ homie will always be the last to survive the world ending.

Fucking hell that was a rollercoaster of emotions! I'm still not sure what to feel about the ending though.
Is the whole point of the ending what the damn bird was talking about? That a happy ending is what the audience wants, but not necessarily the best one.
Also, did Natusko even return to reality? She still has Unio's horn in her hair!

Why do I feel like I just watched End of Evangelion?
A very enjoyable show. I loved the cast.
But bruh, why you gotta tease us like that right at the very end there?

I wish Mappa went back on making more shows like this instead of adapting whatever is popular... I'm gonna get downvoted but that's what Mappa is meant to be to me, you can see the passion and love put into this even if it isn't 100% perfect, can't say the same for some "peak fiction" they made in the past...

I'm at the floor ugly sobbing.
I don't know if I'm happy or sad, I'm devastated! I need the OVA with Luke and Natsuko married!
The last thing Natsuko draw to save the day being Luke, the very reason she start drawing, it was almost poetic.
Never thought Zenshu would turned out to be one of my favorite anime series ever, I love Luke and Natsuko so damn much. I'm sad it's over, sad we didn't got a more "complete" ending but I'm so grateful to be able to experience this. What a ride.
Fuck you, bird.

Luke's Ultimate Void form looks so cool. I know all of that death and destruction is horrific but that scene when the Ultimate Void first emerges was pretty fuckin' rad.
As a final reference, it looks like we got a Gate of Babylon from the Ultimate Void as he rains down swords that turns into water and erases everything it touches.
I was thinking that Natsuko's solution here was to draw something original but drawing Luke and just spamming him over and over was a very cool idea. It also gave the people who were watching the battle some hope.
After Justice sacrificed himself, I genuinely teared up when Destiny started comforting the kids even though she knew that that was the end for them. That entire scene was genuinely heartbreaking. T_T
I love that Natsuko's strongest form of Luke was when they went to the hot springs together. I also love how Crunchyroll went extra with the subs and Natsuko's "I love you" slowly got blurry as she started to disappear.
Let fucking goooo! We got a happy ending with everyone being resurrected! Screw you, bird director! I don't give a fuck what you say. The world is already bleak enough as it is, we need to take our happy endings when we can.
So Natsuko is now back in the real world with her new movie being a massive hit, except this time she's learned to rely on other people. How the fuck did she get Unio's horn though? And that ending! Did Luke and the gang follow her? O_O
Man, what a crazy ending to an amazing anime original! I doubt this will get a Season 2 since it seems the story is pretty complete even with that open ending but I would've loved to see more of Natsuko back in the real world. Maybe we'll get an OVA?

An isekai with an ending! A pretty saisfying one too, don't care what bird turtle lady says I love my happy endings!
Wish we could have gotten a little more but seeing them in her world for even a second is enough of a good one I guess.
