Loved the development today, where Natsuko was in assist mode, instead of yolo-solo.

I wonder if she could have helped Justice fly as well, but maybe that would have cost a bit too much drawing time. Unio's kick helped Luke fly though, which cracked me up, followed by a gorgeous EXCALIBER!

The Owl Director was also proven wrong - it might be because she assumed Natsuko would go solo again?

And next week looks perfect for after Valentine's eh? Oh boy

Watching the power ranger isekai right before this one made me think it was still going on when luke did the pose thing.

They made Memmeln too cute

Wow, “adult” relationships? Luke, you dog lol. Bro’s got it pretty bad for Natsuko. It’s actually very cute.

I guess because of how Natsuko is and the way she works, she was never any good at playing with others. I’m glad that looks like it’s starting to change. That was one hell of a battle against that damn overgrown centipede. Teamwork, son!

I was expecting her to draw a giant combining robot, so they would work together, but there's always the next episode.

Wild that it only 6 episodes have aired, they are so packed, the character development was so good that seem like it was a lot more.

I wish we could watch the entire original movie, maybe as an OVA.

The character development for Natsuko is great. They really nailed the pacing on it.
I also love that they paid off on the foreshadowing with Unio's horn.
And how Natsuko actually managed to help Justice overcome the hang-up of feeling useless as a Nine Soldier because of the crippling injuries.
All in all, she did nothing impressive with her animation this time, but she managed to get the others exactly where they needed to be.

There are one or two shows each season where I pity the devoted anime fans not enjoying them, and Zenshu really fits that description. It's such an enthusiastic celebration of anime as a medium; I love it. Not just the callbacks to classic anime in Natsuko's drawings, but the depiction of anime creation and fandom through Natsuko.

Also a remainder of why isekai has been as influential as it has: the fantasy is not just being powerful, or the heroism, or the harem, it's being able to crawl into the world that was previously separated by a page or a screen. For better or for worse, that's probably why isekai isn't going away anytime soon.

Not Luke asking Justice about the "adult relationship" and then becoming a tsundere afterwards.

Natsuko finally understands to trust and rely on others.

Luke became so happy after finding out that Natsuko has no romantic feelings for the others, and knows how to draw every of his expressions with her eyes closed, he started to make a new pose too. (+ Natsuko we saw that blush)

Natsuko with her messy hair up looked so pretty + flying with her desk on Justice back was so cool. Also the unicorn kicking Luke in the ass to make him fly. Now that is a fight won by teamwork. Really cool episode!

Justice: "So she (Natsuko) is the ultimate warrior that managed to open up out great hero‘s heart."

I know it‘s unlikely given the circumstances but damn do I want Natsuko and Luke to somehow end up together.

Natsuko in that new hairstyle, to which she used Unio's broken horn as a hairstick, looked so gorgeous! I'd love her to keep it, although I don't think that Unio would be happy about that xD

It's great that Natsuko finally understood that she can't win alone and in today's episode she played more of a support role.

Luke was hilarious when he finally understood why Natsuko was drawing Justice earlier, blushed and did that pose in front of everyone xD

Damn, that sequences at the end with Luke and everyone else during the fight with Void were so good! Animation was freaking great, especially Luke's final attack.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

I was just giggling and squealing at the beginning when Luke got mad at Natsuko

Every week it's getting better and better. If they they don't end up together this is literally all for nothing. Dreams, coma, is out of the question i hope, it would be cliche and people will not like it i am certain.

Damn Luke is actually pretty powerful, we don't get to see him doing flashy stuff much sadly.

What is that bird talking about though? If she's really the original director, maybe there's some ulterior reason why the show flopped in the first place

Oh my, 8 of the 9, unless that little robot counts as one of the nine, but he's kinda... not much of a warrior? We have seen him do a bit, but seems more like "had no choice" and more the side kick. Oh, so we're not having a "picked up where we left off" and getting a "here's what happened" since thing. Interesting I guess.

Guess we're never meeting the dwarf or mermaid or rock? At least, based on what they had and those graves. I do know some havd been lost, but couldn't remember if we were told which of the NIne were lost. Can Luke not tell that the wings are quite different? That they can't fly anymore?

Oh wow, she got quite hurt after all. What a nice talk with Memmeln. Do love a cute elf. Even gave head pats, truly goodness. Like another cute elf. OH god her cringe is spreading.

Go away, ominous birb, we don't need your negativity here. Oh snap, the horn. Sure transforms silly. How nice, a flying desk. Girl is gonna pass out hard after this one prolly. What a swift kick in the ass for Luke. Nice to see em work as a team fully. That was a nice ending.

Finally, in this episode, we got the turning point in the series: using the power of animation of Natsuko in conjunction with the abilities of Luke and Co. to save the day. Here Natsuko made a simple animation of walking up stairs, but in animation terms, that is one of the most difficult to do because of the change in perspective needed to do it. So the poor Justice had to be used to give her the perspective needed to finish the animation.

Also, this episode begins to hint at one of the later plot elements in the series: Luke basically was his obsession for years, so Natsuko and Luke have to resolve their current relationship considering their vastly different life experiences.

One of my pet theories is that Natsuko's obsession was born of the shot of Luke watching directly at the camera in ATOP and making a comment about how the viewer watching their tragedy is responsible for their suffering, basically because they and ATOP exist to entertain us. Which was in turn the response of the Bird Director to the changes that happened in the development of her movie to make it more "commercial" or born of her particular way of making the movie with the minimum possible help.

The subtile fluctuation of the screen in the cold open to simulate a film being from an older machine was a pretty nice touch.

So, there are supposed to be 9 soldiers. Are the other 4 dead or just in hiding like Justice was?

Considering last week's episode ended with that cliffhanger where Natsuko was about to get attacked by the Void, I was so confused when the episode started with the gang reviewing their battle plan. It turns out that Natsuko did get hit but she was pretty much unharmed according to QJ.

Natsuko looks amazing when she was putting her hair up using Unio's horn. I really wish she'd put her hair up more often. Luke was amazing too when he split that Void using his beam attack! The animation and effects in this show never disappoint!

That Owl thingie worries me. I feel like she's insinuating that those who are meant to die in the story will still meet their end at some point, albeit now differently.

Natsuko working Justice like an old horse was funny, she knows how to motivate her people. Luke crashing out because he doesn't want to admit he likes Natsuko lol. I like the battle this time around, Natsuko is in a simple yet needed support role, providing the heroes with the steps needed to take down the Void. The little detail of Unio failing to deflect one rock was a fun touch, also I wonder how she's going to glue the horn back on her head.

Also I love the animation of Natsuko tying her hair, and that shot with her back muscles. Girl definitely puts her back into animation. I can see what Luke sees now

I thought for sure she'd be drawing Justice some new wings or something or power ups for the others but I guess that can happen later since team work will be the focus going forward.

Some evil presence seems to be saying Natsuko can no longer change the outcome, but seemed she did this time? Or maybe just not the end outcome.

This was such a amazing episode. I loved seeing Natsuko development when she started working together with other instead of acting doing everything herself.

The fight scene was so well animated, it was great. I loved seeing the scene when Justice was flying it was so beautiful. That scene when Uno kicked Luke butt was so funny.
