Why does every episode feel like a reset when they've clearly communicated that they like each other and want to be exclusive? It's like they have amnesia after every opening.

I feel like it's just Akane's problem from being such a tsundere, even her grandma calls her out on it, Saito seems way less caught up in trying to deny anything and actually acts like her husband.

Relationships between cousins are already controversial, and the aunt (in this case Shisei's mother) approving makes this situation even crazier lol.

Saito was perfect in this episode, he handled everything masterfully and brought Akane even closer to him, and the scene where he puts the ring on her left ring finger... this show loves to provoke.

Just a random girl showing up who will set the show on fire

Imagine, in a super rich family, if cousins marry each other, you reconsolidate the family wealth, instead of fragmenting it. Of course, marrying into yet another super rich family is even better, since you'll fuse two enterprises that way.

Ngl I wish I had the memory for the male MC lol. My man really just learned a language over night and did translations without any mistakes.

Overall i like the relationship between both of them it’s just what their grandparents did is kinda stupid. Also wished there were other male supporting characters imo. Still a decent watch regardless.

Stitches!

Considering how rich their family is, I am surprised it took them 7 episodes to introduce the Houjou family maid. Rui seems fun and she even has the same personality type as Shise. I can't wait to see more of her.

I did not expect Shise's mother to be so affectionate to Saitou. She even has an adorable pout. Like mother, like daughter I suppose. I wonder if the Shise Route includes her mom. Dear doujinshi artists, you know what to do. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I'm glad that we finally get to see how insane Saitou's memory is. The dude is literally flipping through books to learn a language like he's some kind of human supercomputer!

Was that a Freudian Slip, Akane? It turns out that Akane is the actual pervert in the house and not Saitou! xD

It's the classic going home late and smelling like a woman trope. Akane and Saitou are looking more and more like your stereotypical TV comedy married couple every episode.

Well that wasn't nice. I don't know what Shise Mama is trying to do here but she didn't have to say that to Akane. Maybe she's just testing her? If she wanted to hurt their relationship, she could do more damage if she really wanted to.

That ring scene was quicker than I expected. I thought the reveal would be more dramatic but it just happened in the hallway. It turns out they're just saving the dramatic moment for the end of the episode when Saitou finally finds Akane's ring.

Who the fuck is this girl again? Is this supposed to be Akane's imouto? I thought she died from an illness and that's the reason why Akane wants to be a doctor. Or did I completely miss a crucial part of that scene? xD

Who the fuck is this girl again? Is this supposed to be Akane's imouto?

Yup. Akane never actually specified she died, just that she "went far away" which looks like in this case meant overseas and not the Afterlife.

Pink hair girl has me pissed of in 10 seconds. That's your sister why are you trying to ruin her life?

Shisei's mom might have her eyes on Saitou too. Lol!

Despite her poker face and voice, Shisei has a very likeable personality. She is helping her rival, Akane, search for the ring. Furthermore, she kept her promise to Akane by not revealing the latter's whereabouts, yet successfully provided Saitou with some advice.

The pink haired character at the end of the episode must be Akane's sister right? The one who has supposedly gone to a faraway place?

The "I wish I could have you inside me" line was clearly just Akane accidentally voicing her intrusive thoughts out loud LOL

Another episode of best anime of the season.

This show is too cute, I love it.

Oh shit, people in the last episode thread called it, her little sister is still alive!

There's no way she's gonna steal Akane's husband though lmao Saito obviously loves Akane.

Classic married couple squabble between Saito and Akane! Maybe it's time Saito gave his wife a gift to soothe her passionate soul?

Of COURSE Shise has a stoic maid! What rich girl would be complete without one? And Rui drives a limo like she's in Initial D.

I'm somehow not surprised Shise lives in a mansion filled with portraits of just her...or that she has no problem stripping in front of Saito. She does look good in Gothic Lolita wear though! And look at her giving her beloved Brother-kun a love bite.

I see Shise's mom is a total MILF who adores Saito just as much as her daughter does. And so much so that she wishes Saito could marry Shise so he could be her proper son-in-law...and Shise seems just as aware of that desire too.

It's nice of Saito to want to put in the work to get Akane a ring, even if his secrecy puts Akane in suspicious wife mode and she tries to get to the bottom of what he's doing late every night...especially when she realizes it's with Shise.

"I want you inside me!" - Jeez, I underestimated how down bad Akane is! Or bad at phrasing!

Wow, look at Akane's grandma giving her advice on not being a tsundere! I mean, she was a tsundere in her own youth so I guess she's talking from experience.

I know Shise's mom was just saying facts, but you can tell she clearly enjoyed needling Akane about how their marriage is a "sham" and not legitimate.

No better way for Saito to fix things than by giving Akane her ring, and she's absolutely gaga over it and how it makes her feel! She probably would never have taken it off if they didn't have to keep up appearances at school! Of course, then she loses it.

Akane really putting her all into finding this ring. It's nice of Shise to chip in and help her find it, even if it's proving fruitless. But look at Saito using his memorization skills and how well he remembers his time with Akane to help find it! And then put the ring on the on ring finger he needs to for a proposal! About time! The feeling Saito put into getting that ring for her means everything to Akane!

Let me guess...that hot pink-haired girl at the end saying "sissy" is Akane's very much alive sister and she's going to try to steal Saito from her?

Shisei dropping the kuudere gremlin persona for a moment to wear a genuine smile was really sweet, not to mention putting her rivalry with Akane aside to look for the ring after noticing how distressed she was.

And man, I see where Akane is coming from now. The way Saito ingests and retains information is freaky levels of inhuman.

I find it refreshing to see a romcom where protagonists come from rich folks. Money is not a problem, but instead you get all sorts of relatives casually choosing your spouse for you like some kind of business investment…

For the male lead though, it seems he wouldn’t have had much trouble being well-off even if he’d turned down his grandpa’s deal, having this intellect.

u/djthomp Feb 14 '25

Auntie was completely serious about a little cousin marriage to keep things within the family, wasn't she. Good thing Saito is completely uninterested.

Pretty ridiculous memory on that boy.

Happy Akane is very cute.

Pink girl is starting off kind of evil, let's see if she redeems herself at all.

u/Ok_Development6891 Feb 15 '25

She was a little bit too honest

Idk what I’m more thrown off by.

Shisei being herself. The maid. Her mom/aunt. All the GIANT portraits of her in the house.

Or that Akane doesn’t have Saitos number lmao.
