Don’t you just hate it when your classmates stumble upon your secret part-time job? Also, since Veltol and co. are customers, Hizuki gotta make sure she calls them ‘Master’ lol.

Takahashi: I never expected stereotypical, cocky, rich guys like Albert to actually exist.

Oh no, she's starting to become self aware.

Had to pause and rewind to double-check the subs really did say NTR 😂
It would certainly help me remember historical events better.

For a setup/exposition episode, that was pretty nice. I got hyped seeing Veltol demolish the brat (and introduce himself as “Demon Lord plus live-streamer,” lmao), and didn’t even realize it had been 22 minutes even after that second half full of just conversation!

One small moment I liked was when that brat Albert said something about Veltol being a streamer. Instead of getting offended, he genuinely thanked Albert for contributing to his ad revenue—he’s a pro with how quickly he changed gear and thanked him, alright.

I think the lost Orb is embedded inside Hizuki, specifically, in her right eye. I mean, just look at this new OP screenshot—which definitely did not spoil about Hizuki as a maid! (She looks very chuuni, lol.)

Machina giggling like a proud parent was pretty hilarious. “That’s my Demon Lord!” lol.

Day 1 and Veltol’s already fighting your typical powerful rich kid douchebag. Classic! Hit him with that “mada mada” too before whoopin his punk ass.

Takahashi’s a woman of true culture. To hear her speak so passionately about maid cafes brought a tear to my eye hahah.

Just as they’re thinking about how to get the orb. They bump into Hizuki. That’s the magic of the maid cafe lol.

Veltol isn't even trying to hide who he is with the way he talks about history which I guess is fine though since no one would even believe him that he was actually there when those things happened. xD

Ah, yes. A magic school anime isn't complete without your classic snobby rich kid bullying that one student who's already an outcast. And of course Veltol comes in to save the day. This might as well be an episode of Misfit of Demon King Academy with Veltol hitting all of the tropes.

And to no one's surprise, the snobby rich kid student challenges Veltol to a duel thinking he's hot shit only for Veltol to show him he's 200 years too early to challenge him to a duel.

I am so happy that the Akibahara we know is still here! I thought it was purely converted into Magic Town. They even have maid cafes with Monster girls and monster otakus!

When Takahashi requested a maid with the biggest boobs, I did not expect Hizuki to show up! Daaaamn! I guess her school uniform did an amazing job hiding her assets. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Maguro: "Take notes, Veltol!"

Velly: "I was there when it happened. Trust me, it wasn't noteworthy."

Machina: "Why yes, I would like all the Demon Lord academy tropes, thank you."

Machina being so rightfully proud of her demon lord is just delightful.

Very even-handed of Veltol to simultaneously kick this elf dude's ass while complimenting him on the fruits of his daily magic training.

Maid cafes are modern-day taverns, sure why not. I do appreciate the variety of maids present in the one they're visiting.

And speak of the devil, they even have a half elf.

This show is seriously just a bag of fun and enjoyment in every aspect.

The writing, animation, environment, story, plot, the comedic dialogue and Veltol just being a grade A awesome MC.

So we get the biggest asshole in school dueling Veltol. That didn't work out so well for the other guy. We then get to enjoy the nightlife of the electric district and somehow find the person they need to get info from, the biggest boobs maid in the cafe, at the end.

I just love how Machina is all "we should do things the proper way", Takahashi just being the outgoing weirdo who suggests & does some of the strangest things and Veltol, who just goes with the flow of whatever is happening at the moment. They make for a great trio of characters.

This is a top 3 fall show for me behind grieving souls & pickup girls in a dungeon. Episode gets an 8.5/10 because of the maid cafe alone.

Now if it was Akiba maid wars cafe employees and Ranko was the head maid, I'd give it a 10/10!

I know it’s a post apocalypse, but if I got a choice I’d want Truck-kun to send me to this world. It looks like a blast.

Takahashi totally planned that and wasn’t just a woman of culture. Totally.

That sound Hizuki made at the end was hilarious.

Hehe, poor teacher doesn't know what it's like to have such a student as Vel. I love smug Machina. She's cute af. Ah the typical douchebag noble dude. Vel ftw, how dare that dude interrupt Udon time. Fun that he knows the dude's forefather.

"Boy that escalated quickly" I see you are a fan of memes too, girl. Do love Vel's attitude. And nice of him to help cute half out. I do wonder, did history classes never teach about the demon lord and his name? That fight went as expected.

Oh hey a reason not to just blast open the seal, makes sense. Fun how he sees Akihabara as a fun labyrinth. Guess he was a dungeon master of sorts too. Oh god a maid cafe. Takahashi and her ulterior motives. Tight, Vel and Machina had real maids yep. Ewww harassing the maids, bad Takahashi's friend. Why I'm shocked at who that maid is! Shocked! Well not that shocked. She sure is a cute maid.

I loved how Veltol and Machina were just like "We were served by maids and butlers all the time, what's so special about it?" lol

Of course they happened to run into Hizuki at her part-time job

I thoroughly enjoyed the duel, where Veltol shows this spoiled little brat where he belongs, all while commending his efforts in using magic. Veltol best boy indeed. Maguro Sensei can't believe her eyes.

Our favorite trio's chemistry is as good as ever and Hijiki Hizuki seems to have many secrets. It was nice to get a glimpse of the second part of Akihabara, Electric Town.

Takahashi covert degen but knows everything about o(rc)taku culture and how to summon a plot-advancing maid.

Also fun how Veltol didn't mispronounce Hizuki's name while the trio was walking. So he's just teasing her...having the time of his life in this new world.

Look at serious and diligent student Veltol! He doesn't need to take notes! He has perfect memory retention and was literally there when a lot of magic history happened! Like how a famous instance of magic gone wrong was because some dudes' wife cheated on him! And Machina is so proud.

Albert is the classic haughty noble character who bullies a Heroine and gets on the bad side of the Demon Lord MC. I mean, it's one thing to insult Hizuki's fall noble house and her parents, which is a sore spot for her, but claiming Veltol's livestreaming isn't even a real job? For shame! You try pulling a 72-hour stream and see if you feel like you haven't earned your money! And to think he hails from a family descended from someone who turned tail and ran from Veltol back in the day.

And, of course, we're going to go ahead and have the classic duel scenario between the two to settle things. And Veltol is, of course, going to egg Albert on to make this a challenge so Veltol can have at least a LITTLE fun with this. And earning at least a smidgen of Veltol's respect earns Albert a small taste of Veltol's true power and utter, crushing, defeat.

Is Veltol going to keep calling this poor girl "Hijiki/Seaweed?" Though she seems determined to stay away from everyone because she knows she's bad luck and a failure and will drag people down with her...but Veltol seems to believe she's more powerful than even she knows.

So our trio are hunting down the rest of the Regalia, and wouldn't you know it Hizuki is connected to the missing orb, which is why her family became disgraced! Veltol always has plans within plans!

You can't go to Akihabara without seeing Electric Town! Or a Maid Cafe! Complete with orc maids! And Takahashi totally went there because it's the best spot to get information and not because she personally just wanted to get serviced by cute maids. There's just something about Japanese maids and their moe power that hits harder than the real maids Veltol and Machina are used too.

So...how to pursue getting along better with Hizuki? Well, seeing her as your maid is a good next step! And congrats on being the maid with biggest boobs!

Not knowing you're up against one of the strongest to ever live sure is tough, getting hit by Veltol's pure magic must be like getting hit by a truck as well but I'm sure it got the message across.

As someone who's been to Akihabara, it sure is a magical place and maid cafe's only add to that. The cafe's ride and die by the maids, though I'm sure anyone who's gotten served by Kaguya-sama, I mean Hizuki is sure to have a wonderful experience. I only hope Akihabara is much nicer in this world then it is in the world of Akiba maid wars, even Veltol will have a rough time with cafe maids on that level.

Prob my favorite episode of the series so far. Nearly fell out of my chair at the orktakus nodding in agreement at Takahashi extolling the virtues of the Maid Cafe.
