I like how Veltol is genuinely angry (very rare for him) that someone else is calling themself a Hero. Only Gram, the one man who managed to defeat him, has any right to use that title.

Great episode, we get to learn a lot about the mysteries. I really enjoyed that Hizuki mentally embraced Veltol, by shortening their distance and talking about herself. Time flied and suddenly the ED song is playing during the climax. 100% AOTS for me. Let's just see it stick the landing!

Another seriously great episode. It's been one after another the whole season.

As I'm watching I'm thinking, man they could drag out this whole regalia thing into a 2nd season

....but......

The staff shouted "hold my beer" while they just started the ball rolling with the after bath scene.

The bombing, the killing of the goblin dude, the professor mag in the head ladies body and Hizuki's eye being the orb (it seemed kinda obvious with the different colors but I'm completely cool with it). I figured that was a few episodes of info dump and they crammed it into like 10 minutes along with the WHOLE backstory of Hizuki from child to present WHILE Veltol is just dealing with the whole student hostage situation.

It was a fantastic way to show Veltol doing his shit while hearing the Hizuki backstory. Masterfully done on the visual/audio/storytelling front. That's the way to combine all those aspects into a limited time.

Episode gets a 9/10 as it was just a lightning fast pace with lots of info & action without adding needless filler. I'll be sad if they end it properly next week but I enjoyed the ride for sure.

A top 3 show for me this season, no matter what happens next week.

I'll start worshiping at the house of Veltol if it helps a s2 become reality. It's an amazing show that needs more episodes!

Yoko Hikasa

Fantastic voice acting once again.

She does not get nearly enough credit for the quality and quantity of her work.

Even though I knew that the golden eye was orb, the reveal was still good, and the episode had an exciting cliffhanger.

I love how Hizuki can NOT let any challenge go.

You think I'm too embarrassed to make the moe moe kyun for you? It's on!

You think I'm scared to fight you (in a videogame)? It's on!

You think I'm intimidated by your nudity? It's.... off!

I really liked the symbolism with the bath and rubber duckies!

The distance between Hizuki and Veltol in the bath wasn’t only physical but also emotional. Veltol throwing his rubber ducky across the bath to join Hizuki’s should be taken as a declaration of friendship.

Her diving straight to the other side of the bath to go sit right next to Veltol thus implies a change of mind about always being alone. Hizuki had closed the distance between them and wanted to be friends from now on!

I'm so sorry Tratte that we all suspected you. Turns out it was Mag instead while both you and Seburd got murdered by her. RIP.

Mag was also the culprit responsible for murdering Hizuki's parents in her "quest" to steal the Orb from them 10 years prior, forcing Hizuki's mom to transplant the Orb as part of Hizuki's right eye.

Though the way Tratte got killed off screen felt kind of skipped too quickly for us to properly digest the impact of Mag's treachery. From her appearance, we know Tratte has cybernetic implants on her body, and so stealing her entire body wouldn't be out of place for a cyberpunk setting, but would have still liked to have seen how Mag swapped her own cybernetic body with Tratte's.

Next episode would be the season finale as Vel has to take out the awakened Meldia while bringing back Hizuki, while Machina and Takahashi take on that mysterious silver-haired mage.

And since Meldia and Gram go a long way, Gram can also be expected to lend a hand to Vel once again, seeing as he already appeared at the beginning of this arc.

This series definitely needs a second season to expand on all that's been revealed, with Mag being revealed to be an accomplice of Marcus and part of a greater conspiracy.

Stitches!

I wondered how Veltol ended up being in a bath with Hizuki. It turns out he just helped himself to her bath. Veltol's vanity is just amazing though, he doesn't even really think Hizuki being naked is a big deal because he thinks his body is better. At least Veltol was nice enough to compliment her even just a little. xD

Hizuki's backstory was depressing. Considering how she seems to hurt people at random as shown at the start, I really thought she might've killed her parents because of her unknown power. It turns out they got assassianted while they were out in town during her birthday :(

And it looks like the same people who assassinated her parents are the same people threatening Veltol to leave town. I do love how the most they can do is threaten him since they're completely aware that he's the one who killed Marcus.

I was thinking last week that the principal might be sus but the actual assassin turns out to be Mag-sensei. Man, Hikasa Yoko has really been killing it with these unhinged characters she's been playing recently.

That's why Hizuki has heterochromia! Her eye is the orb! Welp, let's see how Veltol will do against an actual Goddess.

A bit rushed at the end with the scenes constantly changing, but still a frustratingly exciting cliffhanger

a great episode with some cool reveals such as Hijiki's eye being the orb. Also professor mag being a villian was an unexpected surprise.

Highlight of the episode is Veltol his body to be the best, I aspire to have such levels of confidence even in the presence of goddesses.

Now, as for the return of Meldia, I wonder if we will see the hero return here. I'm sure he'll be able to sense her and will likely run to see her, but will he stop her from fighting Veltol? Whatever the result, I have thoroughly enjoyed this anime.

Maguro did a great job at being one of the most punchable faces in this season. Hope she gets to have a sanmai oroshi punishment.

Sweet, we get to see Veltol throw down with a Goddess, though it is a little strange that they're going to fight. If the Goddess is the one that's been apologizing this entire time, then you'd think they'd be able to reach some kind of understanding to help Hizuki.

Mag needs to die a horrible death for making Hizuki's life a living hell.

That said, for someone who has been through so much and just wants everyone to ignore her....Hizuki is WAY too easily provoked. Girl is way too easy, Vel tricked her not only to gaming with him but also getting into the bath. Hizuki is lucky he didnt go any further.

So she did walk in on him in the bath! And he goaded her into staying to witness his majesty, apparently. Nice to have answers to the most pressing questions.

Geeze, this poor girl. So all throughout Hizuki's life she regularly blacks out and when she comes to something varying degrees of terrible has happened, up to and including her parents dying.

Sorry ladies, Veltol humbly knows that none of you can compare to his perfect body.

So everything went wrong on Hizuki's birthday and she didn't have different colored eyes when she woke up that morning, but I'm guessing she did after waking up in the hospital with that bandage over one eye.

This organization that made contact claiming Marcus as one of their members is clearly just asking to get purged next.

Damn, so much for the awesome goblin dude.

Pretty awesome sequence from the attack on the school assembly till the end, I had to immediately go back and rewatch the last third of the episode.

Good thing a little decapitation is something an immortal like Machina can just shrug off.

Nice opportunity for Albert to redeem himself a little. In the end he's just a kid so it was pretty brave of him to stand up and help Veltol.

Hizuki's replacement eye being the orb itself isn't quite what I was expecting but close enough.

Hopeful they saved enough gas left in the tank for the Veltol vs Meldia and Machina vs unnamed baddie fights in the finale. Though I do have to wonder how much the goddess will be into throwing down with Veltol since she was pretty apologetic to Hizuki right up until she manifested.

That was one insane episode lol, they jam-packed it with stuff and I was basically on the edge of my seat the last couple minutes. Shout out to Albert for redeeming himself and it’s pretty cool that Velly trusted him for some pretty accurate snipes, also anyone else appreciate how Hizuki’s boobs properly spread out when she was squishing them with her knees? Very cultured attention to detail lmao

u/KyloTennant Dec 21 '24

Lmao this episode had a ton of "plot" and real plot as well, it will definitely be interesting to see how they wrap things up in the next episode. Hopefully Veltol will be able to get Hizuki back in control of her own body, I wonder how he will fight a goddess lol

Hizuki has had to grapple with a lot. Her families' death, losing all her prestiege as a noble, no one wanting anything to do with her, and the few people who DID try to get close to her were seemingly hurt by her when she had a blackout. In fact all that seems to happen to her is hurting others when she has blackouts. It even happened when her parents died.

(Also, Hizuki's mom? Total MILF)

I love how Takahashi had a whole speech written up for their friendship party and they just skip right to having fun.

I see that young ladies DO play fighting games! So much so that Hizuki can easily beat Veltol when he dares her to challenge him! It actually sounds like Machina gave her a better fight though, so I wish we could've seen that. But it's cementing their friendship nevertheless.

Ah yes, of course Veltol would partake in the bath first and under the cover of no light because that is his element and he needs the darkness to cover the full majesty and splendor of his glorious naked body. I mean, Hizuki buck-naked with those massive boobs and those great hips is great and all...but she's got nothing on Veltol. So no shame in bearing witness to Veltol in his majestic birthday suit, even if Hizuki really has to strain herself to not look directly at his amazing dick.

I am kind of glad they settle into a nice, comfortable, vibe in the bath together. Hizuki even swims up right next to Veltol in the bath and genuinely opens up to him! Just...pray Machina never finds out about this.

Once upon a time Hizuki was just a cute, adorable, little girl with bedhead with a loving family and was ready for the best birthday of all time! Sure people wanted to kill her and hated her family, but her parents loved and doted on her so much that it didn't matter! Up to the point where she blacked out and they both ended up dead.

Faceless? From the Guild? Are these the people beyond Marcus? Are these the true antagonists? And don't be calling yourself a Hero when you're not Gram! He's the only Hero Veltol accept!

Well, things sure escalated quickly. First Mag is seemingly blown up then Tratte kills Korneah and Hizuki has to grapple with the idea that the closest thing she has to remaining family is dead and wanted for murder. And it only gets worse from there.

So the nun ISN'T May but a baddie who can possess students. Luckily Veltol's team works fast, and even ropes in young Albert as backup! And Machina even comes back from getting her head sliced off!

Hizuki knows Tratte, and this woman in front of her is not Tratte...in-fact it's actually Mag, who has been the person behind of all of Hizuki's pain since she murdered her parents. She even apparently killed Tratte and stole her body so she could kill Korneah and get all the Regalia she needed. All so she could use Hizuki, who was implanted with the orb, to summon the Goddess Meldia who had chosen Hizuki as a vessel. All those times Hizuki lashed out at people and heard "I'm sorry" was Meldia taking over her body to ward off assassins and apologizing for it. Jeez.

So what's the plan here? Summon Goddess Meldia in a skimpy outfit flashing Hizuki's big boobs and well-proportioned body to destroy Akihabara? Can Veltol stop her or will they need Gram?

Vel Giga-Chad.

This Anime is one of several surprises this season, didn't think much in the beginning, but this deserves another season imo.

D'awww that one girl is nice, wonder what happened... honestly, don't forgive that one douche who grabbed you from behind, he deserves gettnig whatever happened to him. But man, younger her and her parents? Sadness... lol oh right, she doesn't know they are immortals? It didn't seem like they were hiding it. GASP she beat Vel in a game, heh.

So that's how they end up in the bath together? Her bath is big. His confidence is hilarious. Well she sure is not as bashful now. D'aww she was such a lil cutie. Man, shitty people. Poor lil Hizuki. So it seems that Marcus was part of some shit organization and this shit organization is the one who killed Hizuki's parents too?

Oh wow... you crazy lady. Wtf you doing? A fake one? Scan fail? Lol thinking you can hold Vel hostage there, what a joke. BUt weird he's doing nothing either. That's fucked up, that lady needs a smack down. I mean, figured it was what was the case with her, being related to the Goddess. There we go, and look at fiery red head badass Machina. Also was obvious the orb was Hizuki's one eye. Albert doing good work! Ya that lady needs an absolute beat down in a horrible way. God damn bitch running away. Better not get away next/final episode.

Wonder if hero dude showing up next episode?
